Tease Color & Style Bar

Travis is awesome! Went here yesterday for the first time to get color and highlights done, and once I got home I realized I didn’t get as many highlights as I wanted to really brighten by hair up. I called this morning and Travis had me come back today and fixed me right up at no charge and even gave me a complimentary protein treatment to ensure I was pleased. My hair turned out perfect and he was so sweet and accomodating and I am very grateful for such great service:)

My hair was orange when I left, and I was told it was just my hair that pulled the orange (Keep in mind, I’ve been blonde for 27 years). I was also charged for things that I didn’t know I was even being charged for. I had Justin. I can’t speak to everyone at the salon, and the atmosphere was pretty good, but I will never be back.
Update: the salon reached out and apologized and asked me to come back in to fix it. It was appreciated and I would have had I not already found a solution.

Great place. Justin was really cool guys who knew what he was doing. Not too bad as far as price. I would recommend it.

Love this salon! I will not trust anyone else with my color and their blow drys are magical.

Justin does stellar work! I had no idea what I was looking for but he created the best color, cut and style that I have ever had. Completely worth the experience !

I started coming to Tease bc my hair stylist Sandra moved from a previous salon to here. She always listens to what I want and definitely delivers. I recently got my hair colored by her and I haven’t stopped getting compliments on it since! Can’t wait for my next appointment with her.

Sandra is beyond exceptional!!! She provided a brilliant shoulder length haircut on my fine wavy hair and a LUMINOUS semi-​permanent color which brought out the very best in my naturally brunette hair. Compliments galore!!! I am definitely returning to Sandra at Tease Salon. :)

Just moved to Houston and needed a new place to get my hair cut and colored. I looked at previous Unilocal reviews and noticed that many people mention Cindy! So I asked for Cindy and I was not disappointed.
As soon as you step in the building you notice the modern décor. It’s also very clean! Cindy is a really sweet girl. She never has anything negative to say. She is very knowledgeable about hair and answered all of my annoying, off the wall questions I had. I also love my hair! She did such a good job. It’s exactly what I wanted.
Everyone was very friendly. Prices are also fair. I’ll definitely be back!

My wife (Jennifer) and I have been going to Tease since ¹⁰⁄₂₀₁₄ and absolutely love it. Roi is brilliant and has the best personality. We arrived from the NYC area last year and were concerned that we would not able to find a stylist that could do our former stylist justice. Boy, were we pleasantly surprised as Roi surpassed our expectations. Side note — LOVE THE HAIR WASHING STATION AS WE FEEL THAT WE ARE ON A CRUISE!!! And let us not forget the coffee and wine, nice touch

It’s been a while since I’ve had my hair colored and the days leading up to my appointment, I was having minor anxiety about what my hair would end up looking like. Would I end up looking like Marge from the Simpsons? …Anyways, I woke up that morning and was like ‘screw it– go big or go home.’ I ended up getting an ombré and a long bob cut. Sandra’s a hair goddess. Throughout my time at Tease Color & Style Bar, Sandra walked me through the changes that she made, and double checked to make sure the cut was to my liking. Sandra’s calm personality was one of the biggest plus to my experience. I felt confident that whatever she did to my hair would turn out gorgeous, and it did. On top of a phenomenal cut & color, the service at Tease was amazing.

I volunteered to have my hair ombré’d here by one of the new stylists in training. To me, «in training» suggests that additional practice is needed which was not the case for Sandra. I’ve never gotten my hair done professionally so it wasn’t evident at first, but the results clearly showed that she knew exactly what she was doing. Even the person evaluating her finished work was impressed!
Sandra was really nice and happy to talk to me if I had any questions about hair, but I also enjoyed that she wasn’t overly chatty. Based on our conversation, it sounded like she had only recently branched into coloring. If that’s true, her skill is pretty amazing. I offered my hair to her if she wanted to do any future color experiments.
The salon itself is clean and well-​decorated. Parking appears to be limited but adequate for the size of the salon.

Went to get my hair cut so that I could donate it. Roi did a really good job with my hair and made me feel really calm when I was nervous. While he was cutting my hair, he was very attentive and I knew I could just trust him. The hair cut turned out really really well and I got so many compliments.

I’ve been getting my hair cut at the same place for the last 5 years and always loved the service, so when my hair dresser, Cindy M. told me she was moving, I was a little sad…
BUT.
Tease is awesome, and now that I’ve been there twice, I can safely say that I’m happy for the change. Cindy has been cutting my hair for almost 3 years now, and not only is she the best hair dresser I’ve ever had, since she’s moved to Tease it’s been an overall better experience. It’s a great, quiet, little storefront; no hassle with parking, and reasonably/​consistently priced with other places (It’s also closer to me, so that’s a bonus…) Both of the times I’ve been in there, it’s been very private and personal. Making appointments have been a breeze and the reception staff have been over the top friendly (always offer drinks, magazines, etc.)– which is not a universal experience at other salons.
Onto Cindy: If you’re looking for a new stylist, you need to give her a shot. She’s smart, super personable, passionate about her work and great with a pair of scissors. On top of that, at her previous work, I know she’s been involved with teaching, training and cutting for models, as well as all sorts of styles for men and women. Do you want someone cutting your hair who has cut the hair of professional models? The answer is yes. Yes, you do.
I don’t have much more to say, other than I hope Tease will enjoy having me as a customer, because as long as she’s there, I’m not going anywhere else. You’re stuck with me. See you all approximately every 2 weeks.

I went yesterday for a change in my hair make my appointment with Cindy, she make me so happy my hair was looking amazing, she was wonderful and so great with my hair. I ever recognize my own hair. hehehe

Went here to get a new style and loved it! I’ve had the same haircut my entire life so I was pretty nervous about trying something new. Travis was really patient and walked me through everything. I ended up cutting a few inches cut and getting bangs! Great salon, staff was awesome. I’ll definitely be going back!

I like every thing about this place. Not to mention, Travis honestly give me the best haircuts I have ever had. They aren’t overprices for no reason like other salons in the area. The staff is all very friendly and professional. However, the whole service is very comfortable like you are with friends. The place is swanky and upscale.
It tried other salons in the area but I am definitely glad I found Tease.

After a subpar experience the last time I tried to get my haircut, I did my research this time around. I read all the reviews, I scoured websites, I made a list (and checked it twice), narrowed it down, and decided to try Tease. Based on the other reviews, it seemed like I couldn’t go wrong with any of the stylists. I asked the receptionist who she would recommend based on my hair type and she suggested Roi.
Roi was very nice, easy to chat with, and really took the time to ask about my lifestyle and effort I put into my hair (throw it up in a bun and zero, respectively) before cutting my hair both wet and dry. The cut has super flattering, face framing layers. I left with bouncy, flouncy, supermodel blowing in the wind hair.
The reason I can’t give it 5 stars is that I have never paid so much for a haircut in my life and I have lived in some expensive cities. Toto, I thought we left San Francisco?! I used the Unilocal check in offer for $ 25 off which helped ease the sting a little, but triple digits for a haircut?
If it turns out this is the only place in Houston that knows how to cut my super thick, wavy hair I’ll make this my go-​to place, but I have to believe there’s something equally good and less expensive out there.
