Well done! Texas Lunar Festival exceeded my expectation this year. Aside from the teases of Mother Nature, the crowd poured in constantly to enjoy this cultural event at Discovery Green on Saturday, February 21. I was very surprised to see all sorts of entertainment on any grassy area, besides the usual stage. Lines of people queued up at the food booths, including snow cone truck outside of festival. Community booths also attracted many curious lookers. I didn’t mind the $ 8 admission, because I knew the values of enjoyment and food crave that money couldn’t buy. Parking was a little tricky. But still, this is far better than other lunar new year festival sites. For the Year of the Goat in 2015, I’d like to greet everyone in Chinese: 恭喜發財 。 羊羊一齊來報喜,萬事順心又如意。 Check out my in-app videos to show you why Discovery Green was the perfect choice for the Lunar New Year festival.
