I came here on the first day of class to get my books and it was not hectic as I thought it was going to be. Got in and out in 15 minutes. They have textbooks available for the UH main campus and TSU as well. However, I do agree with the one star reviews below because I did call in advance to make sure they had my textbooks but was on hold for the longest time. Best bet is to take your chances and go in person and check. One plus about this place is they have good deals on UH clothing. I recommend anyone looking to purchase any UH gear to come here. Just don’t count on good customer service if you plan to call them

Worst place ever. I called ahead of time to ask someone if they had a couple books. Put on hold for 20 minutes so I hung up and called back. Asked to speak with a manager and I get hung up on. Called again and asked for the manager and a new person hands the phone to the same person I tried dealing with twice already. Was left on hold for another 10 minutes so I hung up and decided to confront this amazing person by going to the store. I asked for my books and turned out they had one. For about 2 minutes I felt a little better until I found out that all of their registers don’t take debit or credit cards. So I was directed to the broken ATM machine and gave them back the book to leave. I don’t know how this place expects to be in business very long. Anyone that knows the UH campus knows that being anywhere near this store with enough cash on you to purchase your books for the semester is about as safe as giving a loaded gun to a group of toddlers.

Worst experience dealing with a «professional looking» business in Houston. Brother reserved books before start of semester at UH but never was given receipt or payment notification for said reserved books. Email stating«if textbooks are not picked up by 8÷25÷2008, we will re-shelve the books and they will no longer be available to you» was sent out via their email communications. Only form of communication showing books were reserved from them. To reserve books, the website required registration of an account which included area for input of credit card info — once again, required to register for an account to reserve books. Two months later, the book store charges the credit card $ 500+ for reserved books claiming that they belonged to us. Upon showing them the email which stated that«books will be re-shelved and no longer available to you» after start of school, the book store manager refuses to look at the communication and states that the books are still sitting behind the counter and are owned by us since they should have been picked up — but are still not in our possession. According to the manager, no returns are possible either since it’s past the return date for books… that we don’t even have possession of. Their email clearly states that the books will be re-shelved and no longer available to us after 8÷25÷2008, yet«they are still sitting here behind the counter and we will charge you for them.» I inform the owner that I will block payment on the books and let the credit card company handle it. Explain the details to credit card company and book store finally refunds us our money back after credit card company gets in touch with them about this practice. Best store for University of Houston souvenirs, clothing, etc. It’s Cougar pride at its best.
