I eat here at least once a week. It’s my escape to work on my computer(free wifi during the week) and get a great meal. The service is always great and the food is even better.

I guess when you get used to a great restaurant manager running the place, she gets a promotion and leaves to higher office in the company, if they don’t replace that manager with an equally responsible manager, the service of the restaurant goes down hill. In my opinion, such is the case with this«The Egg and I», location. I don’t know what their protocol is for answering the phone to take to go orders but this was never a problem when Lori was the manager. I have talked to their v-mail for the final time, on to «Another Broken Egg». I hope the breakfast there is just as good.

I was craving woofles(aka waffles, but my better half and I like to call them woofles!) so I decided to drop into this location. The wait was 15 minutes and not one minute more, I was seated within the promise time. It was very busy on this Sunday but service was prompt, and my order was taken right away. I ordered the Strawberry Banana Waffle and boy was it delicious! The fruits were very fresh, and I love the fact that the waffle was perfectly crunchy even with syrup poured on it. When I am in the mood for woofles I will be sure to visit here again!

The last 3 times I have had my usual 2 eggs over medium, turkey sausage, a pancake with extra butter, I have had fast, hot, and courteous service. The food is «always» tasty, the service is «always» courteous and usually fast. However, sometimes on Sunday, the food is not as hot as I would like. The server will«always» make it right and the management is on hand too. You will never beat the quality, prices, and the offer for a drink to go.

$ 50.00 for breakfast for two people. Absolutely ridiculous and the service was aweful. They are poorly understaffed on the weekends. Food came out COLD and the eggs were grossly undercooked. Those yokes were so runny they could have won the Boston Marathon. Will never go back.

Great service here at The Egg and I. They open at 6am. Great for breakfast and lunch. I tried the cinnamon bun French toast and it was too rich for me with the cream cheese frosting, but was an interesting idea I just had to try. The pancakes look yummy, but I haven’t tried them yet. Normally I get an omelette or scrambled eggs with spinach in it. The staff is usually good about letting me substitute fruit for the potatoes.

Today, The Egg and I gets 2 stars for being understaffed! On Saturday! One of their busiest days of the week. This involves a to go order. Lol. I know, it happens. But, really? A to go order? I have been eating here since they opened and I’ve seen them a lot busier. I called at 9:50, no answer, went to voice mail. I called again at 9:52, no answer, went to voice again. I called at 9:55, finally Leona answered, and then put me on hold waiting for a server. After being on hold for 11 minutes, I just drove up there,(4 mins. away), and when I walked in the door, still on hold, the woman, Leona, asked me if I’d like to place a to go order and I showed her my phone and stated«I’ve been trying to for over 15 mins.», at that point 10:10, I ended my call and waited another 10 mins for a server, ordered, paid, and at 10:45 I recieved my to go order, for two. At 10:52 I made it home, one hour after the first call with no answer. No matter how understaffed you are, there is no excuse for this. This is just failure to properly designate responsibilities. If you are understaffed, it’s NOT business as usual, it’s everybody pitching in to keep up the pace without losing the quality of service that makes and keeps this Egg and I busy and customers satisfied. To dispelled those reading this of any notion that I am grumbling, while standing there,(35 minutes), there were several«eat in» customers with mostly minor complaints indicative of the servers having too many tables. Didn’t see the manager a single time. In my years of eating here, I’ve seen the managers waiting tables to help keep up, not today, who knows, maybe she was the cook. Tomorrow is a new day, the food was very good, as usual, and since I am a regular customer, I will be back. Hopefully with an updated review.

Seldom do I eat breakfast, and never at a restaurant, but after some Parks & Rec binge watching, Ron Swanson’s insatiable appetite for bacon and eggs firmly planted itself in my subconscious, and so off to The Egg & I I went. Blown away. Seriously. Now, eggs and bacon alone cannot do that, add the belgian waffle and we’re getting warmer, but top it off with impecable friendly service, and you get the best breakfast experience ever. I believe the waitresses name was Kim? Amazing. She let me work and take my time, but was there just when I became envious of the patrons around me as they lapped up their morning fuel. Fantastic!

Our server was great! Had an overall great experience. I did notice that they are pretty full here on Friday mornings, which was fine because I had been seated before the rush. The food here is always good. I recommend trying their French Vanilla coffee, while it is still in season.

Nice variety… I think the hazelnut coffee was overrated! And don’t get the bottomless pot. it’s too pricey for no reason! I had a custom omelette which was delicious! Too oily though. one tip: Specifycally tell them to make it light and with less oil if you like it that way!

Less expensive and tastier than IHOP which is my only other option super close to home. I ordered my meal to go and the wait was minimal. I got a spinach, bacon and mushroom omelette that came with some amazing potatoes and an English muffin. All of it was very good. But, seriously, the potatoes. Get those! The staff were very pleasant although I’m not sure about being asked if I wanted to leave a tip on a to go meal especially since it was clearly available to do so on my receipt. No points off for that this time. Overall, will be back in the near future and could possibly become regulars.

I have to be completely honest here, I’m NOT a breakfast person, never have been. I’m the person who goes to an eatery during breakfast time and orders off the lunch or dinner menu. I think the only breakfast food I’ve ever enjoyed was crepes. With that said… I skipped breakfast today, as I always do.(Tummy grumbling, people in the waiting area looking at me funny.) I was over by Vintage Park, so I’m checking out places on Unilocal and I just wasn’t interested in eating at Vintage Park, so I asked the receptionist if she knew any good eateries in the area.(She’s an older lady, older people know all the good places right???) She suggested the Egg and I, which was one of the places I was eyeing. Good eye, right!!! OMG!!! Food– 5 stars Service — 5 stars(although I had a little difficulty understanding our server, he was very attentive) Atmosphere — 5 stars(homey, cute, clean) I don’t know if I was just really hungry or the food was delicious, but the food was delicious!!! I ordered the Parisian Benedict. And I’m sorry I didn’t take a picture, but I was hungry, no time for pictures when this girl is hungry.(Besides, there’s pictures of it already posted). I’ve never had eggs benedict before, but this dish was pure bliss in my mouth. Everything was just the right temperature, and simply, perfection. Lovey had the eggs with biscuits and gravy. That was tasty too. I’m definitely gonna come back to this place when I’m in the area. Bön appetit!

I was disappointed, the service was slow, it took a lot longer than breakfast should take at a diner. It was also a little pricey.

I happen to like breakfast food and the restaurants that have it in my area. I have tried this restaurant a few times but I’m not too giddy on it. I’ll explain why. It’s not a horrible restaurant at all. First off, they have nice staff. One waitress who waits on my group usually used to work at 59 Diner and we prefer to have her for waiting on us. They always bring you a refill case for the drink you are enjoying. That is an easier way than having them take up the drink and refilling them. The breakfast is good, I usually have a waffle with the tasty ham and potatoes. There’s a lunch menu too. I have the cheeseburger when I order lunch. Bacon is good on it, just for a dollar more. I had one today with the potatoes and boy it was a brunch outing to remember. The soups and salads are various choices along with the sandwich list, and I haven’t considered having them, but maybe I will soon. It’s a nice restaurant for breakfast, lunch, or brunch. It closes at 2 pm so it’s no Denny’s or IHOP, but I usually go about twice every month. If you want a new breakfast restaurant and good staff, try coming here to this location and see for yourself.

Breakfast and lunch place. I stopped by for breakfast on a Sunday. The place was packed and wait was 20 minutes. Very courteous greeter and server. Got my seat, and ordered orange juice and omelet. Food came out very quickly. Omelet was tasty and cooked nicely. Overall, just a dependable comfort food place. Nothing special but nice quality egg dishes.

I ate here with my mom this morning and we both left the restaurant pleasantly full! Our experience started out rough because the waitstaff did not approach our table for about 10 – 15 minutes after we were seated. It took my mom asking for a waiter twice and getting super grouchy because of her low blood sugar to get some service. Once we were helped, however, it was smooth sailing. The vanilla nut coffee we ordered was delicious. I ordered the breakfast croissant – a bakery fresh croissant filled with eggs scrambled with cheese and ham(served with a side of fruit instead of potatoes). Fantastic! I was initially concerned that it would be too salty, as I know a lot of restaurants tend to over salt their scrambled eggs, but it was perfectly seasoned for a first meal of the day. I can’t handle overly intense flavors in the morning! Happily, I polished off my entire plate. Mom ordered the corned beef hash and also did not leave a morsel of food in sight. She’s kind of a corned beef hash connoisseur and she said it was just the way she liked it. She usually has a problem with how most restaurants prepare corned beef hash because they don’t do it to the«classic» way she is accustomed to as a new Yorker. Good job, Egg and I! We’re going to bring my whole family the next time we dine here.

Another yummy breakfast at Egg and I. I decided to try the Chicken Green Chili Hash Skillet instead of my normal Cambridge Skillet. Wow! What great flavored. It may just be my new fav. I’ve eaten lunch here a few times also. I love the Chicken Ranch Wrap. All in all, the food is fresh and the service awesome.

had breakfast here this morning. I Unilocaled whats nearby and this popped up. I like locally owned places and hate chains like IHOP etc so I go out of my way to find privately owned restaurants with some personality and charm and recipes that aren’t mass manufactured and the interior of said establishments looking identical. The food at «The Egg & I» was great and fresh and the staff were excellent really friendly and helpful. The lady who delivered my food even told me how many calories were in it!!! The pancake with warm syrup was the best pancake I have ever had in my entire life. I highly recommend this place to anyone who likes good food with fresh ingredients and likes to stay away from chains. It is more expensive than IHOP but you get what you pay for. As Im in town visiting from Ireland I had to try the daily featured beverage. Irish Toffee??? well Ive never had it in Ireland and I cant see any connection with Ireland besides the person drinking it was Irish, but it was good so all in all breakfast was a great experience and like the wall says, «Mother always told you to eat a good breakfast» …
