This is a review for Princeton’s LSAT Course with Alex Nelson. To put it in a professional view: Alex Nelson is very committed to teaching anyone the necessary skills and strategies to do well on the LSAT test and he is very knowledgeable about going above and beyond to achieve the score YOU want. In a non-​professional view: Alex Nelson is a bad a** mo**er f*cker. He knows what he’s doing and he cares about his students that put in the dedication and work. I believe Alex’s concern for the human element is what makes Alex an extraordinary instructor since most prospective law students are vetted to think that law school admissions is only a numbers game (It just mostly is).
When I went to school in Austin, everyone raved about Bobby Hood. He was basically the Pope of LSAT preparation in Austin and I could confidently say Alex is the Bobby Hood of Houston. Alex gives you the no bullsh*t straightforward advice you need to do successfully on the LSAT. My only regret was not buying private tutoring sessions to increase my score even more but I am comfortable with my progress that I achieved through Alex.

From a competitive standpoint, TPR sucks. I enrolled with them during Spring 2013. I signed a contract that stated I would only pay 200 for an extension to utilize my online resources. Now, since their policy has changed — they will not adhere to the contract that I signed a year ago. Instead, I’ve been informed to pay $ 500 to open up the online contents again.
Ridiculous. Kaplan is so much better. They extend it for you at NO CHARGE. Plus, they’re relatively cheaper and they offer refreshers so you’re able to purchase certain portions if you’re not wiling to spend $ 1000 to practice again.
Customer service is WORSE. They’re rude to you on the phone and it’s obvious from their tone of voice and attitude. Worst test service ever. My friends and I (6 in total) stopped attending class and began to self study because some of the instructors were incompetent and could not meet up during appointed times. Save your money!

They are only nice to you before you pay your tuition. They poof and disappear right after you make the payment.

I was a MCAT student here and was not impressed with the quality of teaching. Most of the teachers were okay. But there was this one biology teacher who was extremely horrible. He just wrote everything on the board and did not explain anything. When students had questions, he got very stand-​off-​ish and confrontational with them.
For $ 2000, I expect much more. My advice is to study by yourself and to save the money for something else in the medical school application process.
