Early last year or the other year, I brought brand new stuff in a big box… pooffff…They clearly mentioned that they will mail the check and for you to come back to get the stuff when not sold for a certain time just to be told about lesser time range. Previous call they told me my stuff were donated. I went there and they told me about a contract? I did not sign any contract. I just put my basic info. I got no copy of contract. I was told only verbally about the check and the time of pick up of unsold items. I wouldn’t wonder. The young kid that took my stuff totally raved for the shoes when she saw it being totally unused in its box. The rest of the items were big brands as well so there is really no way it was going to be donated. Otherwise I would have brought my items to Goodwill myself.

The owner Patty was helpful in recovering my items, but please read the fine print before you drop your things off. If something is stolen, they said they are not responsible for it. My dresses(4 total) were MIA for a week with no logical explanation. the place has a bad smell and is very unorganized. If you don’t mind clutter and overpriced items, then this store will be fine to shop in. (I left this same Google review and the owner replied with very unprofessional feedback. Below is my response to her response) Dear Owner, Your response is very off. I simply gave an HONEST assessment of my experience and to be really frank, I left off other important points that should’ve been addressed. 1) I was told«twice» by you and your worker that I would get a call back about my items, this did not happen. 2) I am still waiting on a call back about my 2 piece Khaki Trench coat set that was left there and is still MIA with no explanation and no follow up as promised. 3) NOTHING in my «ONLINE» store is priced over $ 120, including the«procacative» clothes that you’ve referred to. I dropped off items that were reasonably priced with my store tag and your coworker tagged them at $ 200 each because she said that’s how you all make your profit. 4) After my 4th stop in your store to inquire about my «professional cocktail dresses» that I thought your store was worthy of carrying, you pulled a note that said they were found in a «suitcase» and you asked me was that how I dropped them off. I clearly said no, I brought them in on hangers and was told they were on the racks, even though your worker couldn’t locate them anywhere. The point here for future shoppers or cosigners is to «be aware» of what they are getting themselves into, simply stated. If they do take time to do their homework before doing business with your company, your reply to my comment is evidence enough of your blindspots about this business. This is not about Houston crime rate or what other consignment shops are doing, this was clearly about the lack of organization, integrity, and followup on yout stores behalf. I love resale, I offer it to my customers as well, but when I receive feedback, I don’t go online and bash the hand that feeds me, I try and make it right. So whether you are operating, 1 store or 100, customers deserve to be heard. Lastly, around the same time I left my review on your store, someone went to Unilocal, created a fake profile and left negative feedback about my store. They said my items were for hookers, my service was bad, and that the store smelled like«stinky feet.» What’s really funny about this user feedback is, I don’t have an actual«storefront», I only operate online, I’ve never had a customer named«Jenny S», and 100% of my customers that have actually purchased from me said my prices are amazing and the quality is very good. So, all this to say is for some reason mean ignorant people are all over the planet, but there is a clear difference of someone doing something out of spite and someone doing/saying something because it was their actual experience. I wish your family much success and apologies if this feedback did not land well for you.

This 1960 store is awesome. I’ve read the reviews for other locations. I’ve had nothing but great experiences at the 1960 store. they are moving doors down, so right now it is a bit chaotic. but nothing beats great customer service!

Warning!!! Do not bring your valued clothes and items here! They are thieves! Brought several items here and they«lost» most of my valued things. They have a horrible tracking system of items and the claim they are not responsible for them if they are not in the store. Really?!

The hours say 9am-8pm on Unilocal.I thought I’d bring a few items here to sell today but it’s 9:15am and the store is not open. There are no business hours posted on the front doors so perhaps they open whenever they feel like it??? I don’t have time to wait around.

I LOVE this store! Like every resale place you have to visit often to see all the new items that are being put out — but you name it and they have it! Formals for high school girls — yes! Cute back to school clothes for younger children — yes! I’ve even used them to give needy children in my school new/great condition clothes. And have donated needed clothes to the Nurse’s office out of there too. They have it all, it’s all there somewhere. The staff is friendly and the store clean. I also bring them my nice, clean, in style clothing if I am not wearing it and it sells like hotcakes. They take numerous non-clothing items for consignment too. You can then take your money or you can spend it in the store for a credit, whichever you choose. This store is a five star retailer! Don’t miss it!

Walked in found some clothes but the original tag on there marked 32.99; her price tag said sale 29.99! My husband found some shoes and googled them… found them at payless for half of the price she had listed and they were used! I think the prices were way over priced; especially the jewelry and purses. Never again! Save your three dollars and get it brand new.
