I’ve been going to this Shell for years, due to its proximity to my old job and home. However lately it seems that this place is falling short of the standard it used to have. Several of the pumps in the middle row are constantly closed. Not sure why, or why they haven’t been fixed in the last month, but it’s annoying to think there are two open stalls and then realize that they’re closed. Secondly, their card readers are screwy. I’ve been(well, attempted) to get gas here three times in the last 3 weeks, and the stalls let me swipe my card, but then ‘think’ forever and force me to do a credit transaction(when I had selected debit) and then give me the«see cashier» message. If I wanted to walk into a gas station I would pay with cash! Very frustrating. I end up going down the street to either the other Shell or the Valero, neither of which give me any problems.

This place and beans give people gas. In fact good gas. I have never had a hesitation with any of the gas I have been getting here for a decade or two. Casted on the corner of Pinemont and the feeder of 290 West you cannot miss this because it is always brightly lit AND always clean! It seems everytime I come here somebody is sweeping inside or out, The prices are not high and not the lowest but it is the cleanest and most brightly lit around. My only gripes are somebody keeps taking the air hose chuck and/or cutting the water snout off to fill your radiator if you need any water. It has a car wash that is detached and sits about 25 years out. A medium sized interior with the usual beer, chips, lottery etc. Never had a problem with any attendant behind the counter and I can probably easily say I’ve been here over 50 times.
