Trying out different delicious burgers every month with a group of awesome Unilocalers?
Starting out where I can order the amazing Mary’s Lamburger (blend of lamb and beef topped with feta cheese, cucumbers, and yogurt dressing)?
Count me in.
Rachel B. did a wonderful job getting everything organized! She was able to get there early, ordered burgers for those having to drive in from the Woodlands area, and had them delivered as we pulled up to the venue! Food can come out v e r y slowly at Petrol, and so this made a HUGE difference!
The group had a fantastic spot in the back patio area — spoiled only by the mosquitoes that came out in full force after 8:30 pm.
I had a Green Flash Palate Wrecker on tap, and enjoyed the good company of Charlie M, Chris C, Belly G, Mike W, and met newcomer to Unilocal,Elaine M!

I would have to say that the first ever Houston Unilocal’s burger of the month club was a success! Thanks to Rachel «Rizzie» B. for organizing this event and made it a success.
Cool people came out, cool people mingled, cool people drank, cool people chowed down. The only unpleasantries from the event were all external factors. From the two devil spawned kids who wanted to make Rachel B.‘s life a living hell to the older condescending British dude who was, well, condescending.
Burger was delicious. The wait for the burger was not because it took over an hour to get your burger. The mosquitoes out in the patio weren’t too friendly either. However, all in all, good times were had by all (well, at least I had a great time!)
Looking forward to April’s BOTM and hoping for a bigger turnout!
