My favorite place for phở love it and the tea lemonade, never disappoint me. I have been going for years. I always get it to its more convenient for me.

Let’s face it, there aren’t a lot of choices for great restaurants in East Houston and if you’re craving decent Vietnamese, there are even less. Nonetheless I found this location as the top rated on Unilocal while I was in the area and decided to give this place a try. The service is friendly as it seems to be run by a Vietnamese family. I didn’t know whether to sit down first or order at the cashier desk so I went ahead and stood in line to order. I really didn’t come here expecting great food rather just hoping for quantity over quality. Nonetheless, within 3 short minutes my appetizer of spring rolls was placed on my table. There wasn’t much of a variety to choose from but they were relatively large compared to other Vietnamese restaurants. To my surprise, these spring rolls tasted great and as I began to finish my second and(final) roll my order of phở beef and brisket arrived. As I went ahead and seasoned my phở with my own additions(which looked reused) I noticed the beef was breaking apart and I could barely find any brisket thus my expectations again lowered. The broth was decent at first, but as I began to run out of noodles I started to taste a strange after taste similar to carrots. Odd. Overall, the serving size for a large bowl is generous with a fair amount of meat and noodles. Nevertheless, I finished my bowl and got up to pay. My total came out to $ 14 including tip for an appetizer, entrée, and water; definitely not worth the price for the quality or quantity of food I just consumed. All in all, if you’re stuck in east Houston looking for good phở or Vietnamese food in general, make that extra trip to midtown(unless you’re starving and on a time crunch). This was definitely a one and done meal for me.

This is a family owned business. The mom, grandma and great grandma are the chefs so I’m sure they have several secret recipes going on in that kitchen. It’s not a fancy restaurant and I can tell service is not their main priority but their food is pretty darn good. I usually call in my order and pick up as the wait can be lengthy as they cook to order(or so I’ve been told by grandma). I haven’t had everything on the menu but I plan to, given that everything I’ve had has been pretty tasty. The chicken & pork Bánh Mí are pretty good but my favorite are their chicken spring rolls. The peanut butter sauce they make is delicious! I’ve also had their special fried rice and it was just ok. I totally recommend this place if you are looking to pick up something delicious and reasonably priced.

First, acknowledge your surroundings. Now that you’ve established you’re on the east side remember that. You’re not going to find decent Vietnamese/Asian food in the area. Yes the service basically sucks, its always been that way here. Ordering to-go is your best option. Its not belaire, $ 5 phở doesn’t apply to this place. Apparently neither does good flavor. Take it for what its worth. Yes you can get Vietnamese food on this side of town. Everyone will agree it won’t be the best. No I’m not the owner, just a guy, with exceptional hair, who understands slim lunch options for east Houston.

After searching for a place to get lunch, me and my coworkers decided to try Vietnamese Noodle House because we were interested in trying their phở. As we entered the restaurant there was no line at all, however when we approached the cashier she did not acknowledge us at all. It was so awkward because we were just standing at the register waiting for the lady to either say«give me a second» or «what can I get for you»… After she finally acknowledge us, we ordered(chicken phở, egg rolls, spring rolls, chicken stir fry) then we went to go find a seat… This is when I realized I would NEVER be coming back to this establishment again. It literally took us an hour to get our spring rolls and phở. Not only did it take forever for us to get our food but they actually forgot to place my coworkers food(chicken stir fry), after repeatedly trying to get the wait staff’s attention they acted as though it was no big deal. Even other customers in the restaurant noticed how inconsiderate the wait staff was being towards us. We explained to them that if it was going to much longer for the food to come out then we would just cancel the order because we were already late getting back to work. Now don’t get me wrong, I understand that lunch hour can be pretty hectic, but we were the first to order and the last to receive our food which I think is completely unacceptable. It was quite disappointing because we had such high hopes for this restaurant. On top of being forced to wait an hour for our food, the food was not even what we expected it to be. My egg rolls were terrible, the phở had no taste, and the stir fry was thrown together. My advice to anyone wanting to try this restaurant during lunch, would be to order your food to go and hope that they don’t forget to place your order :-)

I never write reviews, but I had a VERYPOOR experience here. I am from San Antonio, but in the Houston area for work, and wanted to try out a local Vietnamese restaurant. Upon walking in, I was not greeted, but was told NOT to sit down, that I had to order off«the board»… in which I ordered the flank steak phở. The food was brought out by an older woman, who stood and stared, waiting for me to move my drink out of her way to place the bowl down. I apologized and said thank you, with not ONE word in return. Phở– Bland, nothing special. Broth lacked flavor. Service– Horrible first impression, and was NOTONCE visited again after receiving my food. NOTONCE. NOTONEREFILL. The staff was in the back 98% of the time. I will NEVER return.

This is my favorite Vietnamese place. It’s delicious and authentic. It’s super close for me, I’ve tried different areas in Houston but this is by far my favorite. The phở is delicious! And their spring rolls. It’s super packed from 10−1pm so I tend to come in a little later in the day! A must try!!!

Had the assorted meats phở(#10). It’s as good or better than standard phở. Place is small and basic but clean. Spring rolls were great and come with shrimp and processed pork strip. Food takes longer to come out(20 min) but was great quality and steaming hot. Menu consists of various phở, vermicelli, and rice plates(approx 36 items). Order at counter, $ 10 minimum on MC/Visa

I went there last week and I truly enjoyed the food. The place is pretty decent, not fancy but the quality of the food speaks for itself. i had the phở with beef and it was quite delicious. My friend had a pork vermicelli and it looked quite good. Definitely coming back for lunch.

Went there for lunch. About 11:40. A few people in the place. Not large, arranged OK. Ordered at counter off the menu; 45 minutes later got food. And 5 minutes later Jenn got her food. Food was good; order ahead, about a day ahead!!!

Really like this place! So far, I’ve tried the Phở and Vietnamese chicken sandwiches. Both were great! It looks like a family owned business and they seem to be very clean here. I will be coming back :)

This place is amazing. I love the atmosphere, the workers, and the food. The atmosphere makes me feel like i was in Vietnam, the people who work there are very humble and sweet. and the food. nothing could go wrong with a bowl of Phở. When the workers would speak in Vietnamese(I don’t think they knew i was Vietnamese) I would eavesdrop and hear them say very nice things about me haha. This place is the shit, i love it

This place deserves every star, if not even more. As you walk in the cashier greets you with a smile and a happy«Hello.» There is a great variety of dishes to choose from. What stands out the most is the Phò, everything from the broth to the noodles is cooked to perfection. Definetly a place for all asian food enthusiast!
