Great menu along with great service. I like to order the sampler for my appetizer. I share it with the whole family. Great drinks from the bar. They are always consistent and delicious. I try to go there at least a couple times a month.

I loved this place. The atmosphere is great. The service is wonderful and the food is awesome. I had the catfish and it was perfect. Even their french fries are good! For our appetizer we had the crab cakes and they were even better than the ones I’ve had on the east cost! The prices are great too and all in all its a great value.

This has to be the best Cajun food in north Texas. Very large restaurant and never have to wait long for a table. Catfish is the best I’ve ever eaten and always consistent. It comes with fries which are great. The jambalaya is out of this world. I could eat it everyday. They have a small list of desserts. Some good some so-so. They do have a bar. Don’t pass up a chance to eat there.

I really like this place and the food is always good but I had to give this visit a 4 Star Rating because of the very small lunch serving of crawfish étouffée. Didn’t feel like I got my monies worth and I left hungry. But if I’m honest(always) I’m hungry now and considering going to Boo Ray’s for lunch today!

Just updating since I made it back as a non-pregnant person, and it was just as awesome as before. I was happy to hear they had Rahr beer available in a can, a bottle, and on tap so I indulged in a glass of Texas Red. Good stuff. Our server wasn’t quite as friendly as our previous server, but she kept our drinks filled and checked on us multiple times. My fiancé only got half of the shrimp he was supposed to get with his meal, but she fixed it quickly & the plus side is he got six hot, fresh shrimp by the time he needed them. I tried a bite of his jambalaya and it was nice & spicy and I’ll be ordering some for myself next time. Which might be tonight. Love this place.

Awesome food! Servers are nice, helpful and quick! I was with a large party, so got to see an array of dishes and ALL of them looked great and from what I heard, no one was disappointed! A must try if you are in town for something not so North Texas… very good Cajun or New Orleans food for Texas!

Always, ALWAYS delicious! I know no matter what day or time I go it will always be sooo good! They give you so much food too so the price is fair. Probably my favorite restraunt… EVER. Their stuffed shrimp is to die for.

We had been trying to eat here for some time. The occasion came with Valentine’s Day. We had about a 5 minute wait before being seated. After being seated we were served our wine and Bloody Mary mix drinks by Eric, our excellent waiter. We decided on an an appetizer, a healthy bowl of tasty shrimp and crawfish fondue(which we split) while sipping on our drinks and discussing our lunch. I decided on a dozen oysters while Janis dined on corn and bisque soup. The lunch meals were tasty and very filling. We will be going back for more.

Have been coming here for a while. As most everyone else has said, this place is pretty darn good. Portion sizes are huge, seasonings are just right, prices are very low, and drink prices are great. The staff, waitress, bartenders, and management are extremely friendly and helpful. If something is not right or just not to your liking they will fix it. Anything blackened here is delicious. They will make it as spicy as you like. They have ribs, those are great. When you can get prime rib, it’s out of this world. Thy even have crab legs on occasion. Perfectly spiced. ..

Since their recent renovations, we have been back to try them again, and we’re very impressed. The food is much better, the restaurant is clean with a nice atmosphere, and the service is great. We’ll likely go back again very soon.

First off, the portion sizes. If you tend to choose your entrée based on the size instead of the taste, this is the place for you. My wife and I ordered two appetizers and two entrees, and we came home with an appetizer and an entrée. Also, the service was excellent. This may have something to do with the restaurant being half empty on a Thursday night, but nevertheless the service was excellent and the food came out fast, hot and well-prepared. The only complaint I have is that the food is kind of bland, not what you’d expect at a Cajun place. But most places around here are like that, so I blame the clientele, not the restaurants. Crab bisque — best thing on the table. Hands down. Lots of crab flavor. Boudan appetizer — tasted good, but the presentation was a little odd — they brought out two plain links on a saucer with a pack of crackers. That’s it. Not even a piece of parsley on the plate. Think two boiled brats on a plain white saucer. And two links was way too much for one person. Crawfish Etoufee — came out quickly and it was hot. However, was kind of bland, lacking garlic and herbs, and it was a little salty. Portion size was ginormous though. Fried oyster platter — menu said the breading was spicy, but it wasn’t. Still, the oysters were fresh and the food was hot. Again, portion size was huge. To sum up, food is plentiful but bland. Atmosphere was nice, restaurant was pretty much spotless, and the service is excellent.

The Cajun food is consistently good at a very reasonable price. Our favorites are the jalapeño catfish, the stuffed chicken and the Cajun shrimp Alfredo. There is a nice little car show there on Thursdays.

Just ate their last night. Bad atmosphere, felt like a Lubys décor. Had the fondue as an app, pure butter & cream & fat, very watery, served with over buttered bread. We also had the crab cakes, not good. Only a small portion of crab was even them, lots of filler. Then we had the shrimp wrapped in bacon. Strangely ½ the shrimp were hot and the rest cold. This is just unhealthy over buttered mush. Stay away.

I’m a big fan of Boo Ray’s and used to frequent the Fort Worth Boat Club location, A LOT. Still do, but not like once or twice a week like it used to be since we moved. They have two locations. Every now and then for a change of scenery or just to take a ride we would drive out to Weatherford and eat at that location. I seen that they moved so I wanted to check out the new place. No longer at their old run down location on Fort Worth highway next to Sonic which is now La Playa Maya. They moved behind the Toyota and Cadillac store. They moved into a bigger location. Just as big as the one on Boat Club with the bar area. The building is cute. It reminded me of the French Quarter how buildings are double stacked there. My husband stuck with his usual; Jambalaya. I decided to stray away from my blackened catfish and got the Stuffed fish bienville. Tilapia stuffed with crab with a sauce. It was pretty good, but would have rather done without the mayo based sauce. Of course there were no complaints in the Jambalaya department. A nice little upgrade in Weatherford. If you ever need a change or go for a drive come check out this location!

I recently(re)visited this local cajun food restaurant that I used to frequent years earlier when I lived in Weatherford. They used to be located around the corner on Fort Worth highway, but this new building is much nicer. Although it may seem like an odd location now I heard that the lot across the street is to be the future home of an HEB! Good move, Boo-Rays. Because I hadn’t been in quite a few years I’d forgotten most of the food offerings, so my grandparents, who live in the area, recommended the fried catfish. Good thing I got the small version because the 2 filets I got took up the whole plate! They also offer 1 lbs plates, which would be good to share. I ordered the jalapeño catfish which was topped with a creamy sauce with just enough kick, halved baby tomatoes and chives, all on top of a bed of rice. The green beans, made with bacon and a buttery sauce, were savory & awesome as well. The only problem we had was that the side of jambalaya my grandmother tried as her appetizer was far too spicy for her so she barely touched it. Although we told the sever we didn’t want it or to bring it home, we were still charged $ 5. It was the large portion as well, which he should have made sure was the size she wanted when she ordered. My grandma is not one to complain so she let it slide this time. Anyway, the food is great, the portions are large, & the new building is nicer. If you go, just ask about spice levels and specify side portions. I’ll be back, I’m sure!

Great locally owned seafood restaurant in an odd residential neighborhood. Formerly around the corner on Fort Worth Highway, they have built this new location behind the Toyota dealership. Gorgeous building, great parking but they’ll never get any drive by business because of the bad location. Did I say they needed business? This place is packed, literally busy all the time because of word of mouth. The restaurant has a huge mostly young staff that are moving fast serving, cleaning, prepping you name it. I’ve never seen a better crew. I always have the Mahi Mahi blackened and menuiere sauce. Nice cook on the fish slightly oily but the spices are incredible. And always a great crisp on the outside. Always fresh tasting because they get it fresh all the time apparently. Moderate prices too usually about 40 for 2 people with no dessert. Nice separate full bar and patio too! Yay! Bonus! Nicely decorated interior and the tables are well appointed. Need a little New Orleans? It’s as close as Weatherford! I love it here all the time.
