Stay Away from the Northern Cyclones Women’s program! It has been our experience that they use dishonest tactics to entice hopeful college players to participate in their organization, promising a forum for college-​age girls to showcase their talents in events/​games attended by local colleges. It has been our experience that when colleges do attend the games and inquire about particular players they are told that those players are «not available». Presumably, this is to hold onto good players in order to strengthen a brand-​new program. Sadly, the remaining players on the team get limited playing time and have little or no opportunity to showcase their talents to prospective colleges. All pay the same «tuition», but playing opportunities are unbalanced and unfair. Further, they promise educational opportunities in terms of college tutoring to support post-​graduate (High School) studies, but it’s a joke — no supervision or oversight. It’s unstructured and haphazard. If your daughter is an aspiring college hockey player, look elsewhere!
