I had Dysport injected by Lori Sandmon at Rejuvenate Skin & Laser in Hudson, WI on two occassions. On the first visit, she said that she had been trained as a physician’s assistant. The proceedure went fine, and about a year later I returned for the same ervice. However, after that visit, my brow began to droop very slightly, but a also had a large lump(possibly a vein) sticking out of my forehead afterward, for nearly six weeks. After explaining what happened to a family member is a nurse practitioner, we began looking into Lori’s qualifications, and the qualifications of the clinic. Here is what we found… LORISANDMONISNOT A MEDICALLYTRAINEDPROFESSIONALINANYWAY… SHEISN’T EVEN A LICENSEDAESTHETICIAN! If you look her up under the Wisconsin Professional Licensing Board( ) you will find that she last renewed her aesthetician’s license in 2007, nearly 7 years ago. She is not a nurse, nurse practitioner nor a physcian’s assistant, no matter what she tells you. Don’t be fooled by a white lab coat! Really think hard for yourself whether your health and wellness are something you want to leave in the hands of someone who has no licensing… remember that when you carry a current medical license, that comes with malpractice insurance in the event that something does go wrong with the Botox or Dysport or whatever other substance someone is injecting you with.

I had Melinda do my Botox last summer after trying 3 other spas in Mn who totally botched my forehead. She was fabulous! Little pricey compared to Phoenix but great results.

Do your homework BEFORE you go for who will be performing your services. Look-up current valid license first In the case with Lori Sandmon, she hasn’t got one and is not a medical professional trained anything. That would require a state license, which would require medical training/education, which then would require medical ethical standards to adhere to. Have the individual write down the medical profession they practice under and sign their name on a piece of paper with the date/type of service you received. If this can’t be done, they are not willing to stand behind your health and your safety. No licensing in MN either for anything. BECAREFUL!!! If there is no valid/current license, ask yourself why and is cheap Botox worth your health?(If this is really what is being injected.) Wish I had done this. Regarding her comments below — I did have a longer explanation on here regarding my experience. In the medical field, when botched work is done and the results are obvious, all is done to correct/rectify the situation. Since this is NOT the case with Botox(difficult to correct until it wears off) I was willing to have a RN that Lori had working there at the time try and make a bad situation better. That is not blackmail, its called client satisfaction because money had already been paid. Apparently when someone is injecting Botox with no medical ethical training/background, this is lost on that person. Lori Sandmon does the injections here most of the time. How this is even permitted in MN and WI is beyond me, however it is being done. In many US states now, this is grounds for medical malpractice.
