Taco Bell

I had a coupon for two free items. The coupon very specifically states what I can and cannot order. It says nothing whatsoever about substitutions. I ordered two burritos with a substitution and they attempted to charge me for it (it would’ve cost another 30 cents per burrito). I pointed out to them that the coupon said two free items, and that substitutions were not mentioned on the coupon as a limiting factor. They insisted on charging me, and I refused to be charged. The manager, Ariel, said, «Then you get no burritos,» and handed me back the coupon in a huff. Perhaps she’s illiterate, but either way, I won’t be eating at this or any Taco Bell until the district manager calls me to fully rectify the situation.
UPDATE: The district manager reached out to me with an apology and a promise that the staff would be trained in how to handle coupons as well as customer service. Sure enough, when I returned, the staff were more accommodating. Thank you!

I hate reviewing fast food because honestly what are you going to say other than, Food sucks, Overpriced, Bad service… I mean really… We all know what they offer & how they work…
But this place was beyond OMG… So I get to the window (Im with the BFF’s and the kids) We order what seemed extremely easy to manage, some Tacos, Burittos & Sides of Mashed & Mac & Cheese (This location is partnered with KFC)…
So we get to the window & he repeats it back WRONG, so I tell him NO, but he doesnt seem to comprehend things so I have to reread him the whole order, then he hands me the receipt & its still all wrong… WTF!!!
So I call him over & tell him what was wrong & then for the 2^nd time he reads it all back & STILL WRONG… Im just amazed like «Is this your first day», what part of me are you not getting!!! So we leave finally thinking it might be right…
We get home — WRONG… and there is food we didnt even order in there, extra sandwiches & everything… Just amazing… Ooh and they were out of Lettuce, How is that possible, I didnt hear of any Salmonella scare in the fields… Just be careful when you order & maybe just go in & dont use the Drivethru!

Sometimes things in Maynard get so desperate that 11:55 rolls around and we decide that the only mature and logical thing to do is drive 25 minutes to Hudson. To go to Taco Bell.
To be fair, it is a KFC-​Bell. Not that KFC is much use to me. Once you go Popeye’s, the Colonel loses his appeal. Although i did try the dreaded Double Down. Which has an undeserved bad reputation. It’s tasty and i did not feel like it took a year off my life, not at all.
So anyway, it’s a totally adequate Taco Bell, notable mostly for its completely incomprehensible signboard that has no fewer than 100 different food products you can order. No surprise that it may not be fast, either.

1^st off it’s next to a Wal-​Mart, lets just put everything in that perspective.
Now this also has a KFC menu with it, so that’s a plus, and I’m gonna go review that right after this. Also a drive thru, I’ve never used because the lines inside are smaller.
The food is standard Taco Bell, nothing over the top and nothing more disgusting than normal taco bell, if you like taco bell you’ll like this place if you don’t then you won’t. Certainly not if you’re of the mindset «I’ll give TB another try.» Nothing overly impressive.
The general appearance is that of a fast food joint. not filthy but not clean. The tables aren’t covered with trash, but the five second rule certainly doesn’t exist here.
Never used the restrooms so I have no clue if Jesse B. is right or not. I don’t share Peter R.‘s excitement either. It’s not real Mexican, not by a long shot, but it is Americanized Tex-​Mex for the masses.
Average, thus 3 of 5.

This place doesn’t even deserve 1 star. The tables are always dirty, bathroom is always nasty, and they do not clean off the food prep area. Want just a cheese roll up? Hope you don’t mind something other than cheese in it. They never have clean trays and when told that someone had pissed all over the men’s room floor, they just didn’t give a damn.
This was not a one time thing. My fiancée and I overlooked things for months before we had one last visit that was the final straw. I even complained directly to the District Manager and he even didn’t seem to care.
The food is great when there is not added ingredients from the food prep area. Service is terrible though.

Man, this place has some of THE BEST Mexican food you can get through a drive-​through window. What’s more, it’s even got the KFC action going on so if the Mrs. is jonesing for some extra-​crispy thighss she can get it while you throw some mexi-​melts and chalupas down the ol’ gullet. They don’t have a liquor license but there’s a liquor store down the street so you can pick up a bottle of hooch on the way there and have a great «night-​out» in the parking lot once you have your food. There’s also a wal-​mart so if you really want to go all-​out you can but a portable DVD player and some flicks and make your own Mexican drive-​through smack in the middle of Hudson, MA.
