Great local store with small-town feel, yet an abundance of unique items. We have bought things ranging from less than $ 1 to more than $ 1000. Their gift wrapping is gorgeous. The only reason I rate 4-star is because it tends to run a bit on the pricey side and there is often a wait due to so many customers, which is admittedly a good thing, since it validates the fact that Ace is the place! :) If you are going to shop for a common holiday gift(e.g., for an occasion like Mother’s Day), plan to go in advance or allot adequate time.

Went in looking for some advice on a few projects and was very pleased with the service. Jim was super helpful, I will be coming back.

I don’t usually write reviews of these kind of places, but walking in and being greeted by several older gentlemen who genuinely want to help you doesn’t go without notice. They took us straight to our destination of signs with so many options. At first we didn’t think they had exactly what we wanted but then we found the perfect for rent sign hidden behind some of the sliding shelf signs and it was only $ 2.35. We had the house rented less than 24 hours later! So the place is packed and my sister thinks this is the place to see and be seen in Kingwood on the weekends. The local church was doing a bake sale right outside the front doors so obviously the owner supports the local community. They even sold meat in this hardware store… kind of weird but cool.

Love this store to buy a quick household item, gift, Pandora charm, whatever! Love the bbq seasoning section! Thanks for being one of Kingwood’s premier businesses! Keep adding new & different products!

If you live in kingwood, you know about Alspaugh’s Ace. They take customer service above and beyond. Always someone on every corner to make sure you’re getting exactly what you need. They gift selection(Sterling Events) carries every trendy gift you could want. Also people there to help, fantastic selection and it’s pretty. Who doesn’t like that? Their garden area is also top notch for an Ace Hardware. This is a one-stop shop for locals for gifts, hardware and outdoor living. Always stop here before Lowe’s or Home Depot. The customer service and experience is well worth it!

Fantastic gift selection for everyone. The customer service is excellent here as well. They even do knife sharpening. So I bring my nice kitchen knives in about 3 times a year and it’s like $ 3. Good as new. Great personalized gifts, garden area, family events and they’ll help you with any home repair project.

The best hardware store in the area!!! I would much rather pay them a little more than the big chains because they have the absolute best service around! You can be in and out in minutes and you’ll be supporting local small business! They are the BEST!!!

I love ACE, The staff there is so wonderful and helpful! Store is clean and always stocked. One major plus for me is how often they are supporting local sport teams, events, or charity events. They carry a wide variety of items. Everything from purses to lawn fertilizer to kitchen gadgets.

Love this place. People are so friendly and helpful. I had a project in mind that I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do and they gave me great suggestions that in the end were better than what I had planned.

I like it. Free popcorn and lots of variety. Good customer service too. The only downside is its a bit more expensive than some other places. For example, the same flowers I bought here were half the price at walmart. But then again I wouldn’t expect a smaller store like this to have competitive pricing to a megastore like that.

After hunting forever, for a certain type of x-mas lights that everyone else was sold out of, I remembered ace. Online showed they had these for 9.99. Knowing they were still 2 dollars more than the big box stores, I figured I’d go get them. Upon arrival, I had located them. However, the marked price was 12.99. I figured it was just marked wrong, so I asked to check the price. They rang up 11.99. I then showed my phones browser where it was clearly(same item #) marked as 9.99. I was very rudely told that they do not match their own advertised price, Then abandoned. Dissapointing, considering this store has been a part of the community for so llong. i was shocked at how bluntly rude i was treated. My business will not return

It’s kind of like Hallmark meets Hardware… It’s a friendly place that tries very hard, occasionally they’ll have things that Lowe’s doesn’t.

It’s a hardware store with screws, pipe, and tools. It’s a grillin’ goodies store with Weber and other great brands. It’s a gift shop with Vera Bradley and Pandora. It’s a plants and outdoor décor store. It’s Alspaugh’s Ace Hardware! What’s not to love about this place? We shop here frequently, when we can get into the parking lot. It’s always hoppin’ here. Actually, we always find parking, just not always right up front. Anyway, like all Ace Hardware, they have the things you need to keep your house running in tip top shape. We have bought the usual nuts and bolts, as well as paint and pipe. The people helping us are always informative and helpful. It really has a small town vibe in here, despite being in a huge suburb. The grills and grilling supplies is awesome and they even have kitchen gadgets and goodies. Their gifts section is really great, with wonderful products from Bagellini, Pandora, and Vera Bradley, to name a few. I have purchased directly from the store and been helped to order particular items from their catalogs. Awesome service all around. Lastly the plants and outdoor décor items are some of the best in the Kingwood/Atascocita area. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for just about anything!

I am really only rating their gift section. I’ve never bought any hardware items here. This is really the only location in the area where I consistently find cute, unique gifts for people. We filled up on Christmas stocking stuffers for the whole family, men included, at Alspaugh’s. They have a nice selection of yard flags, vera bradley and the tyler co candles that I love. On the flip side you can find practical items such as flash lights, grill accessories, etc.

Really nice people work here! Three years ago I became obsessed with these foot-shaped planters they have in their garden department. I really wanted one for my dad, and finally made the trip to Atascocita a few weeks ago to make the purchase. No fewer than three people were involved in helping me move the thing(which weighs like 50 lbs) inside the store and out to my car. I agree with other reviewers that things are a bit pricy here. But they do have an extensive section of charming gifts, kind of like a Hallmark store inside an Ace Hardware. I could do without all the hunting supplies and the refrigerators loaded with meat, though. :(

No better store for service or can-do attitude. Plus, the ladies section s the best place for a gift in the entire Kingwood area.

Pros: +You don’t have to go all the way to Lowe’s or Home Depot just to have a key made or buy a stud finder. +Great location +Wonderful, intelligent staff. All you have to do is make a confused face & they’re right there to help(unlike larger stores). +In the back corner of the store is a cute gift shop with non-hardware items, such as stationary, platters, and unique perishables. +This store is family owned and it shows. Cons: –They don’t have Lowe’s prices –Selection is a little slim. If you’re building a deck, you might want to head elsewhere.
