Have you ever been to a sub shop (sandwich shop) that had NO salt, pepper, or utensils (not even plastic)? That was just the start of this place’s problems.
They serve a nice roll, pretty tasty… However, you can’t find the sandwich meat. 3 paper thin slices of salami, 3 paper thin slices of capicola, and 2 slices of cheese with lettuce and tomato is what they call their Vito sub sandwich. If you check out its picture on the web, my sandwich had at least one third the filling. Terrible. Subway gives you a better sandwich than this place.
I tried this place because I have always enjoyed their downtown Austin location. Based on this visit, we will not be back.
To be completely fair though, they still had great whole dill pickles and their staff was friendly.

Sandwiches were good and fresh. Service was good and fast. Unfortunately though, the food wasn’t memorable. It was good but it was just a fresh, cold sandwich. They should incorporate some special sauces, toasting options, etc.

Pretty good sandwiches. I got the gargantuan lettuce wrapped and it was tasty. A keto friendly place. Bathroom was clean

Friendly staff and that’s the ONLY reason why they got the two stars. So I have given this place three chances to redeem themselves and it is still no change. The service sucks. They pride themselves on «Really Fast» but they don’t pride themselves on the actual sandwich. I am a native of New Jersey and I know, there’s no comparison, but even Subway of all chains can make a better sandwich than this particular chain at this location. I will either stick to traveling out of my way to go to Jersey Mike’s or try at least one other Jimmy Johns, but this location SUCKS!

Checked into a hotel 4.8 miles away so they are right up the street but apparently they don’t deliver further than 3 miles which means unless you live 5 minutes away from them you’re not going to get delivery

My friend and I just stopped in here for a quick bite after landing at Intercontinental Airport. Even though it was after 9:30 and was close to closing time, the staff was so gracious and kind. They even took the time to help me select a sandwich since I had never been to one before. It was excellent. They were young kids working and they were so polite, and the bread was so fresh and the sandwich really tasty. A great experience.

I have no problem with the food or the service. Excellent all the way around. However, the music is too loud and this prevents me from coming as often as I like because it’s so loud!
Conversations are so difficult to have with music blaring in the restaurant. My wife has never returned to the UH RESTAURANT due to the loud (obnoxiously so) music. Music should be a background enhancement NOT an annoyance.

Love their food, service is always great. Only problem is they won’t deliver and were only 4 miles away??? I can’t understand that at all.

Delivery service sucks big time. Been waiting almost an hour…

Been waiting over an hour now. Spoke to Kareen and after asking me questions puts me on hold and passes me on to someone else who asks me if I want to cancel my order. ???
Changing this rating to 1 star and that’s being generous.

Super speedy service was only overshadowed by the quality of customer service. Sandwiches are delicious and the place is really clean.

Great fast service! This is the second time I’ve been here in the last month. The sandwiches are great and the chips are fantastic! I always judge a place by how good the ice tea is because that requires freshness and cleanliness. They passed this test with flying colors!

Fast friendly service, the #12 sandwich was the bomb plus they asked for my ID when I paid with my credit card!

Pretty good sandwich. Great bread. Tons better than subway. Fast too. I like the Vito. The great bread is what makes this place so good.

This is the best sandwich place I’ve ever had the opportunity to enjoy. #12 The Beach Club and #9 The Italian Night Club are so delicious. The Beach Club has REAL Avocado on it (unlike the other guy that starts with an S and ends in Way) The Italian Night Club has the strongest most amazing blend of meat flavors with Salami, Capicola and smoked Ham, that I have ever had. The service was extremely fast. The staff were all smiling and greeted me as soon as I walked in. They didn’t mind that it took me a while to figure what I wanted. I will definitely be going back to enjoy some of the other choices.

I took my niece there who loves sandwiches and subs; unfortunately both of us were disappointed based on the number of positive reviews for this place.
For the ordering, if don’t plan on customizing your sandwich then it’s no big deal but if you want to add stuff then it a little harder because you have to ask what they have available because you can’t see it through a window like you can at Subway.
I did like the bread my sub came on but as for everything else that was on it (the roast beef sub) wasn’t really that impressive and it’s pretty unlikely I’d choose to go back.

OMG I love this place! Check out my tip for all the details but this is definitely my favorite sandwich shop. We even ordered for pick up and they ha it ready so fast and it was perfect! Don’t forget to add the peppers! They make the sandwich! Want lunch and dinner? Try the J J GARGANTUAN and you will be in flavor heaven for lunch and dinner! Looking to eat on the lighter side… get any sub on a lettuce wrap. The Beach Club is delicious any way you try it. They even have plain slims for those who just like meat and cheese! Just wish they had one closer to home!

We tried once again to see if they had fixed their staff, and we hit screwed again. How flipping hard is it to read an order and bring condiments as asked? Really getti g tired if all of the incompetence.

So Mine review is about customer service. I had eaten here had a bit of a problem but it was handled so well by the owner it made me a fan for life. Having a place know how to handle things when they do not go perfectly is even better then them doing an ok job most the time. I am really pleased with the food and the speed too!

This location is GREAT and it’s the only location I’ve ordered from. I have never actually eaten inside– only had it delivered.
If you love sandwiches and hate waiting to eat– this place is for you!
I literally ordered from them 3 times in one week!
My favorites are the tuna, Italian night club, and the club lulu. I also HAVE to order a bag of the jalapeño chips!
The commercials are entirely true. They deliver so fast you don’t have time to «drop the kids off at the pool» if you know what I mean. :D
The delivery guys are always nice! I love the fact that they have an App, so I don’t even have to talk to anyone on the phone.
I guess the only bad thing would be if you lived outside their delivery area!

I have absolutely stopped eating subway and quizno’s since the first time I ate a sandwich from Jimmy John’s. Not only is the food superior but the service at this location is amazing. The drinks are fresh and the food is wonderful. In the past 2 weeks I ordered from this location 6 times and will continue to do so. Absolutely my favorite sandwhich place.
