My first time here and I will be back. Food and staff were wonderful. This was a great after workout lunch. All the food was fresh.

The blue cheese dressing is a watery mixture that has absolutely no flavor. You’d think that a business that specializes in salads would have at least have good tasting blue cheese dressing. I’m not sure if Souper Salad made the decision to change the recipe to save a few bucks but the customer is the loser.

It is exactly what you’d expect except that it is extremely worn down at this location. It needs a serious makeover. The vinyl in the booths is cracked and the trays and plates and silverware are all very old and showing a good bit of wear and tear. The service is good and the salad bar is exactly as I had expected. I have eaten here probably 50 times over the years. It is a good value, especially early and it is a good location. The makeover would make it much more appealing and I would probably come here more often.

This is one of the dirtiest restaurants I have ever been to and will never go back to. I’m sorry but it has gone down hill fast…

The old saying«if it ain’t broke don’t fix it» definatly rings true for Souper Salad. Only reason they get 4 stars instead of 5 is because other than the new made to order grilled chicken option nothing in this restaurant has changed much. The dining room ladies restroom plates silverware and cups were all very clean but exactly the same as when I started eating here 10 plus years ago. The salad bar and all the other stations were also clean and fully stocked with fresh servings. The young lady on the register also refreshed drinks and cleared used dishes, she was both cordial and attentive. Only 21 bucks for 2 people, we both had sweet tea and I sprung the 1.99 for the chicken which was actually pretty good. We both left satisfied and full but not over stuffed. Will definitely visit again.

I love that my kids like coming here. Seeing my 5 year old fill his plate with a real salad and actually finish it, made me smile. Besides the salad, our favorites are the strawberry shortcake, blueberry muffins and, occasionally, a good soup. I wish they’d remodel or move to another nearby location that wasn’t so dingy and felt fresher, but it’s alright. The staff is generally friendly and helpful and prices are good.

So I went in expecting a variation of sweet tomatoes. Well I was no where close to that. When we entered the restaurant it was hotter than a summer day in Houston. They finally decided to turn on the a/c which was great. As far as the food goes I’ve seen a better assortment at a gas station. Not only was the salad choices minimal at best but I discovered a bug in my child’s salad. They also served soup and bread which were much better than the salad. The only problem was they ran out of soup bowls and failed to replace them. The only thing that was good was the vegan corn bread.

Just okay. Everything was well stocked and the lettuce was fresh. The tuna skroodle was the standout item. New England clam chowder was tasty but a bit thin and sparse on clams and potatoes.

I love their vegetable soup and lentil soups. The salad bar is alright. Ice cream’s not good. Probably because it’s non dairy. I love the thin pizza and the sweet potatoes. I hear the pumpkin muffin is good. I’ll have to try it this Fall. Service is below average. There’s never anyone at the cash register, so I have to wait a good while until someone notices me.

I love it here, but make sure to come at peak hours 11am-2pm and 6 – 7:30pm which is when the food is constantly freshly flowing! LOVE the selections and the different salad options. The breads and sweet baked potato are yum! Really good, Go at least twice every month.

Excellent place to eat. First time I visited out of curiosity, now i eat here all the time. I like what Souper Salad is all about. They offer good coupons via email. Coupons are sent about every month and are good for up to 4 people and dont expire for about two weeks and you can print as many as you want. I usually print extras and give them out to other people in line :) . If you dont want a full buffet, they offer take out. They sell takeout containers for a cheaper price and you can fill it up with food. I dont think the average kid will eat well here. Every time i see kids eating, they will ignore the food and go straight to the desserts. The staff is always busy, you have to get their attention if you need anything but its all good.

The food isn’t bad the restaurant is just run very poorly. I think they are very short handed because it takes a while for someone to come ring up your purchase and they aren’t very timely refilling stuff on the buffet. There were several items empty on the buffet and by the time we left they hadn’t refilled a thing. Decent food. Poor service.

We used to love this place because it has an all you can eat salad bar, ice cream, bread and pasta, soups and pizza. But lately this place has gone down hill fast like a nose dive, I think it went under new management. The Salad bar is ok, everything else is «meh.» The last few times we went the waitstaff is very inattentive, they come by to see us to bring our drinks when we first get there, aaaand thats it. Service sucks, the bread, pizza, soups, and everything that should be warm/hot always looks like its been there for hours, cold, and does NOT look appetizing in the least bit. in conclusion: positives: salad. negatives: everything. Would not really recommend.

The place was a bit hard to find being from out of town. But they were willing to do take out for my team. Inside it was very clean. They gave serving utensils without me asking. My team thought the veggies were delicious.

Why are the salad gods so angry with me? They directed me here where I expected a bounty of fresh veggies, and instead I found a sad little place with not much more than a few scraps of lettuce to entice me. Upon arrival,(around 3 p.m. on a Saturday), there was no one at the counter. About four or five minutes later, someone showed up, but confusion ensued because there were no plates(at all!) for the salad line. After I paid and went to the salad bar, there were still no plates. A few more minutes and the plates arrived, still warm from the dishwasher.(Who wants warm plates for a salad?) The salad options themselves weren’t bad — are the normal things you’d expect — but there was such little content. The giant bowl of mixed greens was down to a few scragglers in the bottom; the nearby Caesar salad bowl had some chunks of romaine swimming in a pool of dressing. The salad part — the greens — were almost empty. That’s kind of inexcusable. Further down, several other items were empty, ranging from breads to desserts. When I wanted a salad at lunch, I shouldn’t have felt like I showed up at 9:59 at a Chinese buffet that closes at 10.

Love this place, so much to choose from! I always end up eating way too much whenever I come here. Very large restaurant too, always plenty of booths and tables available. Wish there was one where I live!

I want to like it. I want to write a good review, but as many times as we’ve been here, it’s always just Meh. The inside is worn down, the salad line is good(and that’s why we keep coming back) but it never has that fresh picked feel to it like a salad place should. The soup selection is hit or miss, but it’s always hot and there’s always something that’s good enough to try. We’ll keep coming here… but only because driving to Sweet Tomatoes in the Woodlands is impractical. If there were a good salad place in Humble, Souper Salad would be in trouble.

Time of day: 5:00pm on a week day. Initial impression: The décor/setup is no worse than your average Cici’s Pizza or other chain buffet restaurant. The chairs and walls show some definite age and could use a touch-up, but it’s by far not the worst place I’ve ever been to. Food: The salad bar has a decent array of veggies and things to pile a plate high. Nothing extravagant like Fogo de Chao or anything, but for what you’re paying it’s a pretty decent selection. Their Garlic Breadsticks go great with the salad! Red Beans & Rice Soup is a bit of a miss, but they more than make up for it in the awesomeness that is their Vegetable Soup. The Baked Potato Soup is a bit on the onion-y side for me, but that’s simply personal preference. Service: Our drink glasses never went below half-empty. Our server was attentive without being overbearing. Cost: For my husband and I, it ran a little under $ 20 — but since it’s an AYCE deal that’s really not that bad. Overall: Definitely some place I’d go again and recommend to friends. ^_^

Made the trip to Souper Salad in Humble yesterday. Love this place because of all the variety! Yesterday they had a salad similar to Olive Garden, with those black olives that I love oh so much! The soup was great and the gingerbread. oh that is my favorite hands down! My daughter loves their pizza and ice cream of course, although I was pleasantly surprised she put cauliflower on her plate. it looked good and I ended up eating it.lol. My server Linda was great and very attentive! Also the cashier gave me some coupons to save on future visits! Awesome
