Del Taco

Ok, so what the h$#% happened to this del taco. I have eating here since the 1980’s and I would be considered a loyal loyal customer. No longer open 24 hours during the week! I will get to that boondoggle in a minute but let me tell you about this evening (9.45 pmish) disaster experience. I come in to see empty boxes laying on the kitchen floor… No biggie, I say to myself, it must be the time they clean up the back area. After waiting too long to place order, the drive-​thru cashier says she will be with me in a minute… ok no big deal, after waiting a few more minutes I decide to take a peak into the dining area. lo and behold there are 2 employees sitting in dining area (I assume taking their break?). I was so incensed I took their pics, they were so busy on the cellies, they didn’t even notice! I go back to counter and woman takes my order. I order bean/​cheese cup. I go sit down on table directly behind one of employees… there is a child seat at table (who knows how long its been sitting there and trash below on floor).I start eating my bean cup and the beans are COLD! Now I’m upset!!! I tell the drive-​thru woman the beans are cold, she mentions something about turning off the steamer. are you kidding me??? Did I mention the trash protruding out from the trash can? Memo to Del Taco Management. You have run this once great store into the ground! Total lack of leadership and mgmt discipline. I want the old del taco back, and you should demand it too! Who is running this place? Who are the executives in charge of this store? This is totally embarrassing and those responsible need to be held to task immediately. Which executive made the decision to shut down graveyard? Why is that Executive still employed? All I want is this store fixed.

I was starving the other night and stopped here for a quick drive thru meal. I ordered the avocado chicken burrito. My excitement was shut down when I took a bite and the black beans were hard as rocks and not cooked. I lost my appetite.
If they would have told me I would have happily parked and waited or opted for no beans or pinto beans.
Disappointing $ 6 down the drain and an empty stomach. I couldn’t pick them out because it was all mixed in… darn … SMH
Still love you del taco but I’ll stick to the one by my house instead.

They don’t use gloves, the girl who’s fixing my tacos, spilled the chicken on the table and literally scoped it with her bare hands, and just like that nothing happened. She served me a dirty food. Smh

Here I am in the drive thru waiting and we have been waiting for 30 minutes now for our food… in the drive thru. First the guy who took the order seemed like he didn’t know what he was doing then we get to the front to pay and get our food and we end up sitting there forever with no one coming to the window to let us know how long it should take or even apologize for taking over 20 minutes to get our food out… I would understand if they were packed but there was hardly anyone in the store and there was only one vehicle ahead of us… worse del taco ever.

They seam to have a hard time getting the order right and sometimes forget items that I paid for. There’s nothing like getting home to find this out. They skimp on chicken in there burritos and tacos. The Del Taco on Atlanta and Magnolia does a lot better. This one just happens to be close to my house. I will make the drive next time. Forget this one on Brookhurst and Hamilton it sucks!

I love Dell Taco. Breakfast burritos, Tacos, Burgers and the spicy Jack quesadilla this place is great. We had a Naugels across the street from my school and it was great. Then one day the name changed to Del Taco. I remember walking in the door and happy I was when I finally realized that everything was still sane but just a little better. Now 30 years later I take my kids to the sane restaurant.

My order is hardly ever right when I go through the drive through. And I don’t mean something is missing or that my food just isn’t made right, I have often received other peoples entire orders. The workers are always friendly and nice but consistently mess up my order. I have been going here for over two years now as my apartment is right next door and about 90% of the time my order has been wrong.

Everyone is so nice here — every once is a while I want a bean and cheese burrito with sour cream — and I’ll even surprise the people in the drive through behind me and pay for their order #kindnessmatters

I understand this is fast food — but the last three times my order has either been wrong or an item has been forgotten. Today topped the cake — the Coca Cola was soda only with no syrup. So tired of repeating my order a gazillion times, it being wrong and NEVER able to understand the cashier when they tell me how much. We’re done here.

Only writing this because I hope a manager or employee will read this: please quit cleaning the deep fryer so fucking much. Every time I come, from 11PM till even 4AM, no matter what the dude in the drive-​thru says, «Oh sorry, just cleaned the deep fryer! Can’t make those!» I even came at 2:15AM the other night (which is prime time for drunkies getting out of bars, mind you) and he gave me the same line. There’s no way I am that unlucky EVERY time. Whenever I come, he is always cleaning it or had just cleaned it… Get your shit together, Del. :(

Can my order never be right? I go threw the drive thru cause it’s easy and I always get something wrong and when you tell them they blame you. I do like that it’s cheap. You can afford to buy a few items for your family. Food is ok. But then again you get what you paid for.
always check your food and drink before you drive off. I can tell you mine has never been right.

Ordered in and it took them half an hour when the place was completely empty after I had waited at the front counter with nobody in sight. I guess part of the reason was the only two employees there were cleaning and they went to go do more cleaning while I was waiting for the food.

I’ve come here many times before but after my last visit I will NOT be returning.
I came inside since the drive thru was long and while waiting for my order I witnessed a female employee drop a bag of uncooked fries on the ground. After about 5 minutes or so, she finally left to get a dust pan and after doing so she swept up the fries (as well as some hair and dust). I assumed she was going to put in it the trash but then I saw her take the full dust pan and dump it’s contents in the fryer for it to cook with the other fries. I notified the manager who had earlier taken my order and was now handing me my food. He seemed dismissive and told me he would talk to the employee. During the remainder of my visit I didn’t see the manager speak to the employee or appease the situation by throwing out the disgusting fries.

I’ve been going here for about 15 years and there hasn’t been any big issues. I recently moved back in the area so I figured I’d be a dedicated customer again: boy, was I mistaken. The Drive-​through Rodriguez is a complete asshole. He always makes it out that I am a burden sitting in front of him. I think Mr. Sass Master should go to counseling and rework that attitude, but I guess that kind of explains why he is working at a fast food restaurant at his age. Completely inconsiderate. The lady workers here seem rude now as well, as if this attitude problem is the plague. The only reason that I keep coming back is simply because it is of convenience to me. Times when Rodriguez isn’t here I always seem to get hot food that tastes like it hasn’t been sitting on the counter all day. Funny how that works. There are a few other guys that are extremely awesome that work graveyard and are there at around 2am. The three stars are pointed at them, and my past history here, but mostly at them. And if you are reading this Rodriguez, then you deserve a genuine ‘Fuck You, Prick.’

The employees do not acknowledge you when you walk in and when you are ready to order they look right at you and continue to work in the back. All the women employees are extremely rude.

This has got to be the worst Del Taco experience I’ve had in a very long time.
Girl was rude, other either was rude, and the manager was rude.
Order was rushed, acted like we were an inconvenience to her because she was talking to a co-​worker and to take the tea out.
I got up twice for soda; once to fill it, second time to dump out the rest because I got the wrong kind. The girl gave me a dirty look for that.
Manager callers out our order number, checked the lopsided bag, and left it, as it was about to fall over.
The food looked like it was just thrown in there without a care.
The burrito we got wasn’t wrapped in the paper correctly and wasn’t the right portion size. The bowl was lacking in the amount of food put in to it as well.
Screw this Del Taco.

Usually OK but A coke no ice was too complicated for Drive-​Thru Marvin. Also forgot my Chicken Soft Taco but as everyone knows, you never leave DT without checking what they forgot this time so I got the taco and left. At home I pulled out a very long and matted blond hair from my mouth. As I opened and checked the taco I actually found a second long blond matted hair. I gave the two stars for the remodel, otherwise Marvin and the blond dreadlocks cook gotta go… (Marvin’s «I hate my job» attitude had me wondering how much was on purpose and what was a mistake.)

Burritos are amazing! The cheese is soft and delicious, tortillas are fresh! Sometimes I bend the rules and get a taco, just one. Or maybe a quesadilla for only $ 1.99. Del taco is foiled with tastiness and convenience. Try this place for a change!

Sometimes I bend the rules and eat a taco — but just one. Or a burrito. But just one. Del Taco is consistent with tastiness and convenience. They are always quick. They never get my order wrong. (Even when ordering for the family, not just my 1 little item)
Back in the day, I loved the cheeseburgers here! I highly recommend them to you burger eaters, because WHO thinks of a taco place for a good burger? Well, start thinking that way — you will be pleased.
Yes, I am a fan of Del Taco!!!

I ordered a Cheddar Quesadilla for $ 1.99.
The Cheese was so very good and the Soft Tortilla was great.
