Went to FCC for a while & even after getting the $ 5 giftcard for being a new visitor I never stopped by the coffee shop/​book store. After I discovered I loved Kean coffee in Newport, I realized my giftcard had the Kean logo on it. It was a OMG moment for me. I came here that day & was so happy to find out that the coffee tastes just like the full Kean location. Not only is the coffee so delicious, but the atmosphere here is so comfy. As many others have said, it’s very often pretty empty which is kinda nice sometimes. The seating is super comfy & everyone is super nice.

I love the atmosphere, and their coffee is really good. It’s a good place to spend time with friends or study.

Get the chai, not the coffee. :)

I came here to wait and study while my sister was at a football game at the high school down the street. I love trying out local coffee shops and cafés like these are the reason why! It had such a welcoming environment and seemed so family friendly, and even though it’s in a church community area, I didn’t feel awkward at all. It’s truly meant for the community and is welcoming to everyone.
The coffee there was pretty good in my opinion. I just got a hot latte, but I appreciate some original, unique coffee flavors compared to the commercial stores like Starbucks and coffee bean which just don’t taste as fresh to me. It was a really calm and quiet environment and I was really able to get a lot of studying done. They had the typical wooden chairs and tables but also had a good number of comfortable sofas. There was also a cute little book store area that I gotta check out next time I’m there.
Definitely a great local coffee shop that you should go to if your in the area and want to support mom&pop stores

Local HB café! I love it! Great people and delish Kean coffee! They have really good sandwiches too! Plenty of seating indoors and outdoor as well.

Unless you’re here during the lunch rush, you’ll probably be the only person in the café/​bookstore. It’s so peaceful and quiet here with plenty of seats, so even if it is busy, you won’t be disturbed. The bookstore is more like a gift shop with nick knacks and greeting cards and some church-​related items.
I was at first skeptical about going to a café that is inside a church parking/​plaza area because I felt almost like I was intruding or trespassing. But everyone here is so friendly! The coffee and tea are great. I haven’t tried any of the food. Wi-​Fi is fast and free, and there are plenty of outlets if you’re here to work or study. Definitely one of my favorite places to work now.

I came here for the first time today. It’s really nice, there are comfortable chairs with drink holders, free internet, and my coffee tasted great. My mom and I were the only two people in here the entire time, so if you want peace and quiet then this is a great place to come. They also have a cute little book store.

This quiet coffee shop is clean and the workers are very friendly. I ordered the blended mocha frappé which was very tasty. The barista Lilli asked me if I wanted whip cream or not and if I wanted three shots of espresso which she explained to me would be strong. She was right of course, so next time I will get it with two espresso shots. I had a lovely experience and would recommend the place to my friends!

I LOVE this place! It is the perfect spot to unwind with a cup of tea and browse the bookstore, or the recharge with a hot cup of coffee and get ready to start my day. I love choosing this spot to meet with friends because I love the coffee and tea selections, the staff is always super friendly, its always clean and they have lots of comfy spots to sit and chat. Not to mention they have the best tasting coffee around!

That’s why I come here! I love it, you won’t run into anyone you know, and it’s super empty, at least when I went.
Look, I’m a people lover, but when you gotta study and read, you really can’t be interrupted with chatter bugs. It was a great way for me to escape without the distraction of a high volume store with busyness, blenders, and people watching. That has its time and place.
And, it’s a shame more people would rather go to Starbucks or other large corporations for their drinks than a place that serves delicious Keane coffee. That’s ok, more for me.
Don’t be churchaphobe and have that keep you from coming here.
There is a plethora of outdoor seating which I love, and more than enough indoor seating. I will definitely be frequenting here for all my studying needs.

Great, clean coffee shop with really friendly staff. The drinks are delicious and you can walk around the book store while you wait. There’s been several occasions where the staff has actually brought my drink out to me while I looking at pictures on the wall. There’s also plenty of parking. Don’t feel like you have to be a member of the church it’s at to stop by. They don’t pressure you or ask personal questions.

If you want a café with free wi-​fi, outstanding baked goods, great café mochas without that phony/​trendy feeling then this place is for you. We’ve been there a few times and it’s never crowded, it’s usually quiet and it’s family friendly.
The café is housed on church property but nobody tries to preach to you or approach you in anyway. We love the drinks/​food there and especially that we get them minus the snobbery that we get at famous coffee houses.
The only drawback is that they have limited hours so call ahead to make sure they’re open at the time you plan to visit.

This place is great. Really friendly service, great drinks and cookies, and its a book store too. What else can you ask for. Great place to go and relax.

We also bought the Living Social deal and so glad we did. At first we were expecting this place to be by the beach, but instead it is a café connected to a church. Let me tell you, the food was outstanding.
They have a selection of coffees and sandwiches. I had the iced mocha latte. To die for. I also had the ham and cheese panini. DELICIOUS! To top it off I had a chocolate chip cookie. Yummm. So many chocolate chips. Everything was so fresh. What really caught my eye was how pristine everything was, from the entrance to the inside of the café. CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN. No cockroaches at this place.
I was told by the employee that everything served at the café is organic. Boy did the food taste fresh. Unfortunately, this café is not on my way to anything but Huntington Beach, and I don’t really live in the area. However, if I am in the area, I will definitely be back.

I bought a LivingSocial coupon for this shop… sweet deal for $ 15.00 worth of food at the more than 50% off price of $ 7.00. It is a cute, clean, nicely decorated place that opened in the newly constructed area of First Christian Church of Huntington Beach. Now being a bit of a sinner, for good luck I took my gorgeous born-​again Christian co-​worker Tina for lunch.
We bought two panini’s…a turkey pesto one for me and a roast beef one for her. They offered us the lunch combo for $ 8.95 each which includes large soda and artisan bag of chips. What a steal! (oops, that’s a Commandment, isn’t it? Okay, what a deal!).
The service was fast and efficient and the counter girl working was very sweet and nice. Refilled my diet soda for me (We left her a tip on the table but I think she left for lunch. I hope her replacement co-​worker gave her that tip! Remember, stealing is considered so bad God wrote it down for us to remember, lest we forget).
The panini’s were huge with tasty fillings! My co-​worker saved half of hers for later. Yes, the sandwiches were not as good as Delilicious but the equivilant meal at Delilicious would be $ 5.00 more! Compared to chains like Togo’s or Quizno’s or Subway; these sandwiches were far superior.
Access to café is easy off of Adams & Main and parking for breakfast or lunch is plentiful. If you want to make an offering to the church, they even have an ATM like kiosk to make a donation. I actually thought that was pretty cool and forward thinking. Other charities should consider that.

We love Main St Coffee! The drinks are always awesome, my favorite is the Honey Vanilla Latte. mmm so yummy! The food is really great too, my kids love the ultimate grilled cheese. There’s a great selection of foods, everything from a cookie or healthy snack to a full meal. The service is helpful and friendly! Definitely check it out and take the whole family!
