I really wanted to like this place. However, this place reminds me of another over hyped surfer owned place nearby, Banzai Bowls. I’m noticing a trend with surfer owned business like this and Banzai Bowls. They are solid on hype, flavors and branding. However, the execution sucks. This shouldn’t be a surprise. I live downtown and have been watching the buildout of this place. For months not much progress was made on the build, then a huge rush for the Vans Open. Still, even with the rush they missed all but one day of the Vans Open. Their contractor selection and management seems to be on par with how they run their business. I find it interesting that they unprofessionally lambast Subway(the countries largest franchise) on their sandwich board placed outside. Subway is opened at the times stated on the door, this place isn’t. Its frustrating to go there and they are closed. Not even a note on the door. Subway dosent serve burnt reheated food like the Cuban. Subway has faster service. Subway is 1⁄3 of the cost. Chips are good, service is light years faster then Banzai Bowls and the place isn’t frickin hot like Banzai Bowls. Chips however, don’t have any cheese slices on them like shown in the pictures. False advertisement? I told the guy working there that the Cuban tasted reheated and was nasty. He did nothing. The employees either don’t care or are not empowered to address complaints.

Today was my first time here. I came with 2 other peeps, one who’d been numerous times. I went with his suggestion of ordering the Summer Zephyr. I didn’t put meat on mine. Everything on it was fresh & delicious. It’s huge & I would definitely share one next time. The boys had turkey on theirs. It had a nice amount of meat on it. The potato salad was good as well. It doesn’t have mayo which appealed to me. I like the unique flavors of lemonade, and sodas they have. I actually forgot my other half of my sandwich there. I thought they would have thrown it away, but they had it boxed up & waiting for me when I returned for it. Great service & better sandwiches then their competition. I will be back.

Just happened to walk by with my kid while watching the HB Marathon. A sweet handsome kid was giving out their chip samples. My picky toddler loved it so we went in for some lunch. Not only was the staff very helpful with what to order, they were very chill and pleasant and made you feel at home. The sandwich I order was delicious, the bread was soft and easy to chew and the dressing was perfect and not too overpowering like some places. I enjoy the atmosphere, so relax and the music is chill and the view of the PCH is beautiful, of course!!! I’m a local so I’ll be coming back here pretty often, with the kid of course!!!

What’s a find! We were out for the HB Night Market when I noticed the old restaurant that closed down had opened a deli store. I went in and the décor is very simple and modern. Small, but spacious, and the staff was friendly. I ordered their summer zehpr sandwich, adding chicken, and it was nothing short of AMAZING! They proudly serve kean coffee for those who needs their caffeine fix. Would definitely come back here again.

I was close to the pier and decided to stop for a quick lunch, glad I picked sessions! Service was quick, my sandwich was great. You can really taste how fresh the ingredients are. I’ll definitely go again when I’m in the area

Great place to go if you want to wait more than 30 minutes for a piece of toast, and watch the hipsters that work there fumble around with the coffee orders, forgetting where they last put the cream. And let me add that the breakfast toast I ordered was terrible and overpriced. After a half hour of waiting, a soggy piece of bread was presented to me with a tiny slither of avocado and two cherry tomatoes.

Love this place! Conveniently across from the Huntington Pier. Don’t have to walk all the way to Starbucks on Walnut and wait in the horrendous line. I came here for a media tasting on their breakfast offerings. Really liked : RICOTTATOMATOTOAST — our own herbed ricotta with marinated tomatoes, housemade pesto and parmesan cheese on toasted ciabatta.(If you want something simple) FULLMONTY — Ham, swiss and scrambled eggs are placed on french toast and finished with wild strawberry jam and sprinkled with powdered sugar.(If you want something indulging) GREENEGGSANDHAM — Ham, swiss and scrambled eggs on toasted brioche and finished with fresh arugula that has been tossed with house-made fresh basil pesto(If you want something that just tastes good!) More on their menu click here: They use bread from OC Baking company, has gluten free options, serves up Kean Coffee, even have pour overs! Now opens at 7am and of course still serves up salads and soups. Most of the sauces are made from scratch. Inside the deli, you can see a wall tv, some counter space around the walls, and a couple of tables. It’s not big but big enough to get your food, get some hot coffee and go watch some waves. Parking can be kind of a pain, exactly how it is when you’re in downtown area but free residential parking does exist if you’re willing to look or walk a little bit.

Came here for a media tasting to preview their new breakfast menu… Wow. Every. Single. Option is incredible! I have tried their lunch/dinner menu and was already impressed but breakfast far exceeds my expectations. The lemon ricotta honey toast is insanely delicious as our the breakfast sandwiches. Definitely recommend!

People give stars away too cheaply… COMEON this is not 4.5 stars. Not in this century no way… If your 20 something — don’t care how long it takes to be served — even when the joint is empty– and don’t know what real coffee taste like … Try this place! However if you are older then 30 — like service– and know what a real coffee is you should probably go elsewhere. Coffee was burnt beyond drinkable — waited 15 minutes for two macchiato and a baby cappuccino. Music was way to loud for my liking

Sandwich Ordered the Sessions Grilled Cheese, good would order again. Offered it to me on a French roll, I assume they were out of Ciabatta bread. Didn’t ask but perhaps sour dough would also go well. Fries Here is where the star rating goes down hill. The fries had to be day old or reheated card board chips, not exactly sure which — could be both. Had potential, rosemary and lightly salted(maybe a season too, don’t recall as I write this a day later). Service Friendly and helpful, greeted upon entering, A for effort. Food also came quickly, guessing not much time wasted on preparing fries. I ordered ‘togo’ here on the evening of Sunday 11/29, right after Thanksgiving/Black Friday. Kitchen staff may have lingering food coma and shopping induced sleep deprivation. Suggest checking the walk-in fridge Monday morning for any Zombie staff.

I’m not a huge sandwich fan but this place makes some DAMN good sandwiches… with fresh ingredients and they even have gluten free bread. The size of these sandwiches are also shareable… but don’t get me wrong, you will want the whole thing to yourself after one taste :) My favorites are the Yogi… and the Zephyr… go on and give them a try! You won’t be disappointed.

Got the Geno since the habanero purée caught my attention. Sandwich was pretty enormous, but you definitely are paying a lot. I loved the sandwich, very nice joint and friendly staff. Would come back again!

We stopped in while driving through Huntington Beach on a short vacation. Sessions is a quick grab and go deli with limited seating. This place has a great location directly across from the beach and the pier. My husband and I tried the Sloppy Barney and Makena. The sandwiches were both pretty large. We split them so we could have half of each. The ingredients were delicious and fresh. Both sandwiches were a little on the dry side. It might have seemed this way because of the bread to ingredient ratio but they were tasty none the less. By far the best thing we had here were the homemade seasoned chips with sliced parmesan. I couldn’t put them down. The serving size was generous so we took the rest of these in a to-go bag and they didn’t even make it 5 miles down the road. Would definitely stop in again if we’re ever in the area.

So good! Highly recommend! I got the goodfella and it was so delicious. So much meat and all the ingredients tasted fresh and really good! They ran out of the bread it was supposed to go on but the brioche was still good! Cody at the front was super friendly and helped us decide on sandwiches. He told us his favorites and gave us recommendations. I was skeptical of the crazy soda machine but the root beer was excellent! I’ll be back for sure!

Tried the Bomber and it was SOOODELICIOUS! It was all the tastes of Italy in a sandwich. The balsamic reduction and the tomatoes were amazing. I also tried the Rueben sandwich and the marble rye it was on was really unique. I enjoyed their million island dressing YOUMUSTTRYTHEIRSPUDS!!! Also, I extremely happy that many restaurants are putting natural sugar soda machines vs corn syrup soda. I NEVER drink soda and tried all the flavors on their soda machine and liked all of them. This place is perfect for sandwiches! Can totally be shared or devoured by 1.

Last visit I had the Yogi and loved it! The gluten free flatbread is fantastic! Well worth the $ 12. This visit I tried the Manifesto on gluten free flatbread. Sundried tomatoes, artichoke, basalmic. Mmmm Loads of chicken and turkey on both sandwiches! Awesome! Cute little shop. Great view of Huntington Beach Pier and the beach. Employees are all very friendly. Can’t wait to try the salads and breakfasts!

Get the turkey! The turkey and the bread are what I attribute to making these sandwiches so tasty. While the décor is light and beachy, there isn’t much seating inside. But since it is located on PCH literally across the street from the beach, it provides the perfect opportunity to take a sandwich to-go to enjoy on the sand. All of the sandwiches are pretty large and could probably satiate a moderate eater for 2 meals. Personally, I inhaled my sandwich in 1 sitting and was perfectly full. Offerings include sandwiches, salads, breakfast(which I hear is amazing), chips and large cookies. The owner informed my friend that they make their meats there. No sliced deli meat in sight. They also make all sauces in-house. The various flavors of the sandwiches are pretty unique, and I am a bit picky, but they have no problem adding or subbing ingredients on any menu item. Summer Zephyr with Turkey($ 12): Fresh mozzarella, marinated tomato, basil aoli, arugula, pickled onion, balsamic reduction and turkey on a crunchy French roll. This was the overall favorite and I highly recommend. Yogi($ 12): Roast turkey, avocado, arugula, cucumber, marinated tomato and basil pesto on flatbread. I went with ciabatta making the sandwich a little less yogi-like, but more filling. The flavors were all so fresh and the cucumber provided a welcome crunch. As you can see, these sandwiches are not cheap but they do make up for the price in quality. I’m sure I’ll be back often to try some salads and especially that breakfast. Definitely worth stopping in while in HB, or to their Newport location which has been around longer.

I crushed ½ of an #elCubano on ciabatta yesterday. Good lord. Basically there was so much smoked ham and pulled pork I had to save the other ½ for later. Added the house potato chips and a Root Beer. $ 15+, I found it to be a very good value. Besides the food, the restaurant itself is very bright and relaxing. There was surf video streaming on the wall, good background music and fresh beach air flowing through. The service was very friendly with regular check-ins at the table. In light of this experience, I will likely be back many more times.
