Probably the lowest priced groceries in town and it’s somehow still a nice, big grocery store. Deli and bakery have lots of great selections. Meat department is stocked with everything I’ve ever needed. Butchers are very helpful and happily cut stuff up for you right there, upon request. Pretty decent wine selection and beer variety is full good as well. The reason for«five stars» is primarily for the employees. Always friendly, helpful checkers! They sincerely make this place the main reason I like coming here.

Had a slightly uncomfortable experience here… I usually go to the smaller Stater Bros on Warner & Euclid but I need some things real quick and this one was nearby. Since the other location is smaller, the deli & meat department are one department, I guess other locations separate them, but I didn’t know this. I needed to get my dad sliced turkey so I went to the back which I guess is just the meat. I stand there waiting for someone to help me and suddenly a manager came up to me asking what I needed and I told him I needed some turkey, he said I had to go to the deli at the front of the store, the way he said it kinda made me feel stupid… Like I’m sure there are a lot of people that don’t know the meat and deli are 2 separate departments. Anyways, so I made my way to the front. Still waiting for service… Then the manager comes up and tells the lady behind the counter to help me. So she starts slicing my turkey, and she starts complaining to me that the deli closed at 10(it was 10:30) and that she’d have to clean the machine again… But I don’t understand why the manager didn’t just tell me the deli was closed? Though she shouldn’t have been complaining to a customers face. But really? It was just an uncomfortable situation because this employee obviously wasn’t happy with me, and I don’t understand why the manager couldn’t just tell me the deli was closed…

Live down the street from here, always enjoy it. There was one male employee in particular who knew exactly where everything was. He was great help :-)

I shop here all the time. The only problem I encounter are the workers. They are not friendly at times. One evening the cashier didn’t say hello or anything to me, which was fine, then when she was done scanning she didnt even tell me my total(obviously i could see it). She was looking the other way. So I just took out $ 100 bill i was handing it to her without saying anything and waited about 15 seconds until she looked back at me and she was like«oh»… i was more like«duh». Another time in the afternoon i was paying and a baby on another cash register was crying a new born baby, the mom was paying, and my cashier was bitching about it the whole freakin time. Saying how thats not right blah blah blah… im thinking the whole time«its a baby! You idiot!» Anyways i like their prices, and i live very close, so i guess ill just ignore it and go on with my life.

Looking for some bread and cake in the bakery, and a wonderful woman named Dolores S. Quickly came and offered her assistance. She was very nice, happy, and had a smile on her face the whole time, she is the very reason customers come back. Greatful for her help I will definitely come back to this stater bros. Merci Beaucoup Dolores S.

I have a family of 4. I am always looking for a good deal and good quality for food. I think that stater bros does a pretty good job. The produce is average, the produce guy should smile more, I said excuse me when I was getting apples and he was in the way. He didn’t move. or smile! I thought about maybe telling him a joke! It might make him laugh! I like the meat department it was good priced. I got the pork steaks for $ 3.49 a pound yesterday and they didn’t last in my house. They were fantastic! Although I heard a guy order the marinated carne asada at 7 something a pound! That’s Ridiculously overpriced! Any Mexican grocery store is better than that! Or marinate yourself! Then you know what your eating! The guy that came over to the counter when there were 3 people in line, helped the gentleman before me which he was first, but they need a bit more communication like«someone will be right with you». That short line goes a long way with customer service. The nice guy that helped me was friendly and stepped right up to help! Maybe they have grumpy customers all day and when someone nice comes along they don’t know how to react! Overall it was good! I only gave it four starts because I need more smiles when I’m at the grocery store, and friendly hellos!

Generally I like shopping in a Stater Bros. market. The meat counter is always well stocked and the staff is always friendly/helpful at every location I’ve ever been to. Generally the produce is middle of the road but most locations have a wide selection and competitive pricing. This is where this location falls far short of the mark. The produce section seems to have a far smaller footprint for similar sized stores in the area. They have your basic selection and they have recently expanded their organic selection, cutting into the space for non-organic. The quality of everything here is less than what you can find across the road at Sprouts, and this locations prices are higher overall. Regular priced non sale produce prices are comparable. One thing might be ten cents more and another thing ten cents less… Where the real difference comes in are the sales. The Sprouts consistently has better sales. More items on offer and the offer pricing is lower. For higher quality produce. It’s gotten to the point where I don’t even bother checking in SB’s anymore. I go there to get meat, when it’s on sale, and sometimes things I can’t seem to find at Sprouts at all.(like creamed corn, for some reason they don’t have it.) The service here is average to slightly above average. The selection outside the produce section is fairly decent(though I couldn’t find red pepper jelly there.) But the pricing in this location is somewhat ridiculous given that I shop on foot and choose to walk elsewhere because the price difference is great enough to be worth it.(That’s how close other markets are.)

At first I didn’t want to shop here. It seemed like an older neighborhood supermarket. But the more I shop here the more I like it because it has a neighborhood feel to it. The cashiers are always nice and the products are always fresh. No expired products and the aisles are kept clean.

Horrible service at the deli , Very rude and immature . They need to pay more attention in the front Instead of hanging out in back . If they don’t care about their about their job ‚ They should hire somebody who does.

Clean and friendly staff. Prices seem fair. Produce section is well stocked and most fruits and veg look fresh. Nothing is rotting and no fruit flies. Generic mega grocery store. Deli looks fine and prices are not unreasonable. The seafood section smells really fishy but the odor is contained it that area.

I love Stater Bros and I love this location! They have such great prices and I’ve never encountered a problem at this location! My favorite thing to get here is the applewood smoked bacon from the meat counter. It is delicious! Their meat counter overall always has really good items and everything looks fresh and clean too. I have never had a problem with any of the cashiers or employees. Everyone always greets me and asks if I’m doing okay. I’ve never come across any rude employees which is amazing! I do have to say be careful because there is only so much the store staff can do with cleaning up after people. I was in one time and I watched this woman wipe her kids nose and then throw the dirty kleenex on top of the candy. I also watched her let her kids rip things off the shelves and watched her throw more dirty kleenexes all over the place. I told the first employee I saw of every place I saw something and he went right away to start cleaning it up. Sure they get busy and things may seem to be a bit messy but the employees do a really good job at trying to keep up the demands.

Found good crisp green grapes here. Pretty clean store. What store isn’t expensive these aye unless it’s the 99 cent store so throw that out the window. Lol. But really it like the produce section and actually the prices aren’t horrible. Funny how there stater Bros in certain areas, but hey, if you got it! Get it! From your Unilocaler dom!

I think Stater overall is the cheapest for meat, so I go to staters frequently. I was in the area and just decided to get what I needed. Get to checkout and I asked for plastic bags, to which she said they are .10 cents each. I was just surprised and asked her about it since the other staters bros near my place doesn’t charge that. With eyes rolling around she told me as rude as possible that it’s a city law since last November. I guess it was too hard for her to figure out I don’t go to HB to buy groceries. Seems there is a pattern of rude behavior by employees based on other reviews… Other customers were very friendly:)

I don’t go here anymore since all the non English speaking people(to be nice) flock here and they won’t put enough employees on to reduce the checkout lines, if they don’t appreciate customers business, I’ll drive farther to shop at Ralph’s

Cant say enough good things. Low prices, great food. I know food is good when it spoils after 4 – 5 days in the fridge. That tells you… FRESH, eat it fresh. Not covered in wax and preservatives to make it last until JC returns. Love it

What can I say about a store that has milk in the condition I found today in the dairy section. They should be embarrassed to have people see what I saw there.

Always the best prices. Not a humongous store where you can’t find a thing. Laid out right. Love that all stater bros have a butcher! Parking at this location sucks, & it’s always busy cause people know stater bros is the best everyday large market in town.

Best prices by far. I’ve shopped at Ralphs, Vons, Albertsons, and Pavilions. Stater Bros is consistently the cheapest overall. They must be doing something right, because the store always has lots of customers. But I like to try and come in and do my shopping after 8pm when the crowds die down. I like that they are open till 11. Seems like most orange county stores think that everybody goes to bed at 9pm. There are indeed solicitors outside quite often, but I don’t find it very difficult to ignore them. They are good about opening lanes when a wave of shoppers go to check out, and i’ve never had to wait too long in line. You may not find an organic juice bar or a star bucks inside here, but you will find the best prices on essentials. $ 1.19 for a box of fresh baked cookies? $ 1.40 for a loaf of warm french bread? 99c Farmer Johns hot dogs, $ 1.49 full throttles? Sounds good to me.
