This realtor is unethical and unprofessional. He sold us a unit in 2006 that he knew would go under water once the Wall Street crisis hit. Nothing but a greedy salesperson without a conscience. He did not have a clue about securitization, toxic loans or MERS scams, that clients need to be informed about before signing a contract. In addition he did not bother to check whether our interest rate cut-off was affordable; something necessary to be considered in a client’s contract. However, if he ever did he is even worse than I think he is, which might very well be the case. If he did not, he is useless as a realtor since he deems it unnecessary to brush up on his professional knowledge and skills. I saw that he changed companies; worked previously for C21, and now claims to be working on short sales and foreclosures. You know, the same ones he previously caused through his unethical behavior. Stay away if you do not want to end up with a foul deal that just fills his pockets and empties yours !!! I learned what a truly awesome realtor is when I hired one recently. It is a night and day difference. Make your choice wisely and read up on the person through INDEPENDENT reviews, not the ones Demos puts out himself. He should have stuck to selling Pizza. Stay away. Update: Response S. Demos The response of this Realtor just goes to show how much he cares about his selling decisions. A quality Realtor knows all the implications, is connected with financial advisers/loan specialists who in return inform him/her on what the best move for the client would be, that the Realtor then discusses with his/her clients. Mr. Demos never cared explaining those issues, but like so many incapable professionals in that field, rather took the road of «I don’t care what happens during the sale, as long as I complete it». That precisely is the unethical /unprofessional part. Blaming the client for his inability to explain all possibilities during a transaction seems to be based on his professional motto of ‘sell quickly and move on’. BTW, all Realtor’s knew about the impending 2007⁄08 subprime mortgage crisis, so did lenders, and the unprofessional ones did not care enough about their clients to inform them of the right decisions ! The one who did not know where consumers. These Realtors took part in it and were compliant in causing millions of foreclosures. Today some of them, like S. Demos, make money by selling the homes they have previously ensured to get to that place. You decide whether that is the best person to hire to buy your next home.
