Sushi Ya

This place is good, nice people working there yes sometimes the time from order to arriving at table can be long. Not a reason to stop going though and the food good and worth going happy hour or not, go.

My friends and I arrived on a Tuesday night (late night), so we were the only customers. It’s a bit of work looking for this restaurant because their sign does not light up at night and is packed in the corner of the plaza.
We were given peas (?) as a free snack, which was pleasant to munch on. The restaurant played oldies classics, which I enjoyed listening to. Happy hour is at night! For some sushi rolls during happy hour, it is buy one and get one 50% off. Some appetizers are $ 4 during happy hour.
I got the sesame chicken, Baked crab roll and Philadelphia roll. The sesame chicken was tender and sauced well. The Philadelphia roll was very creamy (a little too creamy). The Baked crab roll didn’t taste fresh and the sauce was much too strong. I’m not a fan of rolls in general, but the rolls here were not very good.
I would come here if a friend working here, but quality wise, I don’t recommend this place.

We’re very spoiled when it comes to Japanese food, especially sushi as we’re from Vancouver, Canada.
My daughter discovered this place with a classmate one day and decided I had to try it. We’ve been there several times and it’s always delicious but, more importantly, fresh. Paul is usually our server but he was on a mission trip to Laos.
Last night four of us went there at 8:30 pm — it was late night Happy Hour. We ordered several items from the Happy Hour menu. We also ordered yaki udon with chicken, yaki udon soup (chicken), The yaki udon was incredible — lots of grilled pieces of chicken, carrots, udon noodles. Not much onion or cabbage which the other restaurants add rather than giving you ample amounts of chicken.
There are plenty of rolls for you to choose from — 2 pages of them. They also have the standard teryaki items and boats with an assortment of nigiri sushi.
Ike, our server was very knowledgeable and really cared about us enjoying our dinner out. All the items were excellent and well-​prepared.
I’m going back soon to try other sushi items on the menu. Arrigato Sushi Ya!!!
