I tried this place out, because I was in search of some authentic Mexican food in Huntington Beach. The place is small in the inside, but has decent amount of tables to sit at. I ordered the nachos with Al Pastor. The meat was seasoned pretty well and had so much flavor. I just wished the cheese on the nachos was melted, instead of just sprinkled over the chips. The horchata was really sweet, but I didn’t mind it since I had a sweet tooth that day. The place is decently priced and not bad for what HB has to offer. I will be trying something different from their menu in the future.

Very good tomatillo sauce Very delicious lengua tacos, nice slight crunch on the tortilla. My girlfriend got the flautas and she fell in love, Very good customer service and the food does not take that long to come out, you can hear when they are chopping up the meat and see when they prepping the taco. Would for sure come back when in California again

Carne asada nachos with flavorful beef with very thin crispy chips took me to a happy place… Would have said 5 stars if the salsa bar was a little better. Their red and green sauce were so watered down. Pico de gallo was like watery soup…

HUGEDISAPPOINTMENT!!! I read the reviews and saw the pictures and thought«mmmm this place should be good.» I ordered an asada wet burrito. The only thing good was the green sauce on my burrito. The asada was really«fatty» all you could feel while chewing was all the fat. Needless to say I didn’t eat half of it. Tossed it and walked out! Won’t be coming back!

The tequitos here are delicious! The food is good and cheap, although the interior is not very clean. But the service is fantastic, very friendly.

Don’t be distracted or put off by the bright lights and clean interior! Great made to order tacos. Had the carnitas and carne asada with everything. No gristle and very tender. Plus they have good to decent music playing. Macklemore and Lana Del Rey amongst others. Not used to having such good tacos in such a sparkly clean atmosphere. Haha! I’ll be back for more.

Awesome Mexican food and service for a super fair price. I got the taco plate(you can choose 3 tacos with a side of beans and rice). I got 2 adobada tacos and 1 asada with a double order of rice instead of beans. The meat was well seasoned and the salsa(self-serve at the bar) goes great with the rice and chips. I also ordered a small Horchata that was literally $ 1!!! Authentic food this good is hard to come by in the OC area! Would definitely come back.

I was in the area getting my car fixed & decided to find a place to eat. I came here based on Unilocal reviews. The tacos were incredibly good and only 89¢! I got a large horchata, 2 tacos & a tostada for $ 7 dollars and some cents! Will be back! The only thing is seating is limited.

I’m eating this wonderful thing called a «taco queque» as I’m typing this review. It’s a magical; sort of like a quesadilla with corn tortillas, but a taco. I got the carne asada and it’s not fatty, thick, or chewy. It’s perfectly executed with seasonings, spice, tenderness and cut. I also tried their chicken«flauta» it was super tiny, which was ok, but it wasn’t a flauta. Flautas are supposed to be made with flour tortilla, and taquitos are made with corn. I received the latter, but it was advertised as a flauta. No biggie, but it wasn’t that great. Chicken was very bland, but the fry was good on it. I’d solely come back for the tacos though. The salsas aren’t very great but of the 3 thr green was the best and also the spices, but it was still a medium and not hot. Best part of finding these little gems, is that they carry mexican coke(which is the best, especially because I’m not even a soda drinker but I can’t resist a mexican coca cola), and also because the prices were super cheap! My entire meal with a drink was $ 6.58. Single tacos are only 99 cents everyday! It’s a great little find and I’ll be back for sure.

Gf and I really like this place. Not alot of tables and chairs but there are seatings outside so thats a plus. Located right next to a donut shop and theres a few stores in the plaza so parking is quite minimal but plenty of space. Service is great, owner actually brought us our food and told us what meat is what, plus one Salsa bar is included in the restaurant so you have a nice variety of spicy salsas and lime plus extra add-ons, plus one Tacos were actually very good!!! Not oily and fatty like the other places and its not big where you feel like a sumo. We got lengua, adabada, asada and pollo. Lets see, chicken is soft and done well not dry, other meats i dont quite recall how it was because I got super hungry and downed it but coming from a picky eater, it was really bomb Will come back

When you want an authentic hole-in-the-wall taco joint, Tacos Juarez is the place. The menu is simple, nothing too crazy, with all of the basic mexican dishes you expect. After a long day at the beach, dollar tacos and dollar sodas are really all you need. The carne asada tacos are on point but I would avoid the chicken tacos due to some tough parts in the meat. Don’t let that scare you away though, this is my new favorite mexican place at the beach and I will definitely be taking all of my friends there!!! :D

I’ve lived here in HB for 2 years before finding this place. I think it’s the only Mexican restaurant — granted it is a hole-in-the-wall — that has dollar street tacos that I’ve found yet. They’re adobada tacos are incredible, sopes are always delicious. For coming from Moreno Valley and having almost a plethora of dollar street taco places to choose from to this, I’d even say these could be better than any I’ve found at home.

They meals are very simply and Mexican foods which are very delicious on many levels! The employees of this restaurant are very friendly and understand my orders and followed it perfectly. I am so great satisfied with it! You can’t beat their prices! It is very affordable and the foods is in good portion amount. Their customer service is above the satisfaction because I, myself, am deaf and they communicate with me quite strongly fine! I will keep coming back here often!

I’m surprised«hole-in-the-wall» isn’t listed as one of the Review Highlights. It’s written in practically every review! Haha The term«hole-in-the-wall» conjures up dark, dank images for me, personally. Like someone just took a sledgehammer to an unoccupied building to rip it open and then threw a stove in the back or something. But this is not the case with Tacos Jerez! It feelsWhen we pulled up, it seemed pretty deserted, but there were actually a few groups and singles that came and went; some ordered in and some to-go. The location actually appears to be decently clean. It is small. There are about three larger metal tables and four smaller ones, even lining up along a very tight hallway leading back to what appeared to be the kitchen and possibly the restroom. I would not want to sit at those tables… But we sat front and center, and had to drag a chair over from another table. I don’t recommend bringing more than 4 in your party — this place is very small. Plates are reasonably priced. $ 5 for 3 tacos plus rice and beans. They don’t skimp on the taco fillings, but they don’t overload them like some places do, either. Rice and beans were pretty small portions. I was satisfied but not necessarily full off of my taco plate. The tacos were pretty good though. They put on extra cilantro, per my request. They don’t have a lot of meat options — only lengua, adobada, asada and pollo. The only one I didn’t try was the lengua. Meats looked and tasted good, con mucho sabor. Rice and beans were eh, fine if you add salsa to them. I’d come back here. But I also want to keep on in my pursuit of bomb-ass tacos, like everyone else that has had to move on from Springdale Taqueria. *tear*

Great Mexican food! Tacos Jerez is one serious hole in the wall, but it’s the food that counts. Small, dirty/smelly, and hot perfectly describes the ambiance. I’d always opt for take-out. I really enjoyed the steak burrito & tacos, some of the best I’ve had in HB. Quesadilla was pretty good as well. Definitely more authentic than Alertos, Albertos, and the like. Salsa bar wasn’t anything special. For the price and quality, I’d certainly come back.

I’ve had this place bookmarked for quite some time. Yesterday was the day to give it a try. Tacos Jerez is a very small little hole in the wall on Beach Blvd. near Huntington Beach Hospital. It has about 2 – 3 four top tables, and maybe 3 – 4 two top tables. Drinks are of the bottle or can variety which I am not a fan of. I prefer fountain drinks so that I can get a refill. Both my husband and I went with the three taco combination plate. They were tiny street tacos, served with rice and beans for $ 6.50. The beans were really good! Very well seasoned. The carne asada tacos although tiny, packed a very good flavor punch. Their serve yourself salsa bar had about 5 different salsas, and pickled vegetables. Is it the best place I’ve ever been? No. Will I come back if in the area? Yes! I did find it to be a good value for my money.

Street tacos are what I’m all about, at least anytime I go to a Mexican restaurant. Yep, these are pretty authentic-style street tacos(even down to the low prices), and what makes them even better is that you don’t have to drive out of HB to get them. Imagine that! The interior of the place is a simple hole-in-the-wall dive, with a few tables and chairs for the dine-ins. An informal setting to relax with informal food and friends. The salsa bar is okay, although it would be nice if they labeled the«hot» salsas so you’d know. The Carnitas is the winner of all the meats at Tacos Jerez. Sooooo tasty, even toppling my perennial favorite, Carne Asada. And you wouldn’t want to wash it down with anything less than real Mexican Coca Cola. Yes, you will taste the difference between sugar and corn syrup; it’s like the difference between Jesse Eisenberg and that whiny, birdfaced Michael Cera — Oscar nod, beach!
