I dipped into a Donut Shop to pick up some donuts for my coworkers on National Donut Day. As soon as I stepped in I could tell they were basically sold out of everything. So I drove a little farther and decided to try this place. I was happy to see there were a good selection of donuts left since it was already after 10AM so I ordered 2 dozen. After asking for 9 glazed the lady(owner?) told me I couldn’t have that many and I would need to save some for the other customers. I looked around bewildered since there were only 2 other people in the shop sitting in a corner who clearly were done eating and just chatting by now. I really didn’t think that was a good thing to tell a brand new customer like me that was standing right in front of her. I told her she could pick the last box(since that is what she was doing anyway) but found it funny she picked the donuts I explicitly passed up on when picking the first box. I guess she needed to offload the unpopular ones somehow… Sorry lady but I won’t be back. I hope your other customers enjoy all the extra glazed donuts my absence will create.

So close to Marina High School this business is a joke. My 14 year old son had stopped for a donut until one day he tried to pay with his newly acquired/issued debit card. Asian lady told him he needed to buy $ 10 dollars worth to pay with debit card. Guess what Stupid??? He is a kid with a newly issued debit card on his way to school. The volume of kids walking or riding to school stopping for a donut so close to school and she pulls this krap. You lost our business and I suggest our neighbors not to sponsor this business.

Friendly but not very chatty. They have a lot of snack food along with different soda, teas, and coffees. They even had persemons which was refreshing!

I never write reviews, but I had to save someone from eating here ever again. I paid $ 13.00 for a dozen of uneatable doughnuts! They were at least a day old and the glaze was practically non existent due to the fact it had all soaked in. I called the lady and she told me that it was the yeast and it was bad. The owner told me when she walked in this morning and saw the doughnuts that were made over night she knew they were bad and told the maker to stop immediately. This did not stop her from selling them though this morning to me and probably other people. The owner also told me that she forgot to tell me about the yeast prior to selling me the doughnuts. HEREXACTWORDS. I told her I wanted my money back and she wanted me to bring the entire dozen back to her shop if I want my full amount back! I tore them all apart because I was afraid that if she would sell me these old doughnuts or not disclose this«yeast» excuse prior, that she was going to put these doughnuts back on her shelf. I walked in and she told me that it was only today that the doughnuts were bad and gave me a full refund. However if you read her most recent reviews you can see that this is not the case. I feel bad not to support a small business but this could potentially get someone sick, and the fact that she’s just plain ripping people off.

Worst donuts I’ve ever had. They are so dry and seem old! The top part of the donut with icing has a gap between that and the rest of the donut… Its gross. I would not recommend this place, nor take people to it. It is cluttered inside and dark. I got 4 donuts and 4 donut holes for $ 6… That seems ridiculous

I’ve known this place since I was a kid, sweetest owners. Wonderful family and the donuts are made every morning. I see the lights on with the bakers baking away at 5am. I always like the old fashioned or a simple dozen donut holes!

I agree with the previous Unilocaler. I dont know what the hell the previous Unilocalers were thinking. This place has some of the best service you can possibly get at any business. Some of my favorite childhood memories are from this local doughnut store. As a child, I would savor every penny in order to have enough money to purchase a doughnut and ended up leaving with 3. Every time I have ever walked into this store the nice old Asian lady always smiles and gives me free doughnuts. Maybe I don’t eat doughnuts that much, but these doughnuts taste perfect to me. Honestly, a lot of the doughnut stores out there are way to sweet for my taste, but this store somehow gets its right. I love getting the jelly doughnut here!!! I can eat like 4 of them and still want more!

First and last time here. $ 5 dollar minimum to use a debit card? And then a surcharge on top of that? That’s what you get here. Coffee was burnt, donuts left something to be desired. Business owner is too cheap to pay the minuscule processing fees to accept debit and credit cards. Who carries cash nowadays?

Although the location is convenient, the donuts were both old and the price was too high($ 8.75/dozen). For that price, the donuts should be fresh, not tasting like they are 2-day old donuts! I picked them up at 6:45am.

Not the freshest Donuts for sure, even at 5am on a weekday. But they are still good Donuts and they are on the way to work. I stop in about once a week or so when I leave for work early enough. Usually a sweet older lady in the shop when I stop in. Service good, I don’t know how you can get better service, and they haven’t kept me waiting around so no complaints! I have read a few reviews about complaints about a nosy lady working here. I have been here everyday of the week at lest once between the hours of 5am-8am and never been asked much more then«would you like a coffee?» so I don’t have any complaints. Dont use a card here unless your buying like $ 20.00+ in food because it wont be worth it. I always pay with cash here because the prices are cheap so it doesn’t bother me any.

Donuts are always so so here, and service is never great. Last time I went was on 5÷21÷11 and the lady that worked there was so rude. She kept grilling me and my two students that I walked over from Bible Class to buy some stuff for an activity we were doing. She wanted to know what we were doing, but the way she came off was nosy and rude. If you want to use your credit/debit card here, there is a $ 5 minimum charge with an additional $ 0.75 surchage fee.

I normally don’t eat donuts, but I do drink copious amounts of diet soda. The Donut Maker has ice cold draft soda and I can walk here so I spend a lot of time in this place. I’ve picked up donuts for friends and I’ve never heard any complaints so I’m guessing the donuts are OK. They do have day old donuts that cost $ 5 for like a thousand of them which seems like a good bargain. Also, they have the strangest art on the walls that kind of looks like it was done by Van Gough on an etch o sketch after a three day binge on cough syrup and speed. If you’re in the area, stop in, get a soda, and check out the paintings on the wall.
