I’ve had root canal treatments from three different endodontists, two of them being the main ones in Huntington. I know for sure that Dr. Marcus is by far your best choice.
His office is very nice and comfortable and his front desk staff members are very nice. There’s a keurig coffee maker in the waiting room so I always have a nice cup of coffee while I’m waiting. He runs very close to on time so I rarely get to finish it. If you ever do have to wait, keep in mind the doctors may have taken an emergency patient given the nature of the practice.
The assistant brings you in for the treatment and they’re always kind, professional and make you feel comfortable.
I always see Dr Marcus and he has the best bedside manner. I can hear other doctors with other patients in nearby rooms and they also are very kind.
Having a root canal treatment can be an awful experience and Dr. Marcus acknowledges that and actually makes it a pleasant experience.
He takes his time diagnosing your pain and apologizes if his procedures cause discomfort. He then explains exactly what the situation is and what he needs to do.
I have a hard time getting numb so he gives me sweet air and extra novocaine. There is just a small charge for sweet air which is a fraction of what other doctors charge.
During the treatment he makes corny jokes, (which I personally love), and tells stories which makes all the difference in the world because it takes your mind away from the treatment. But, he also tells you exactly what he’s doing and what to expect to feel and hear.
After the treatment he doesn’t just disappear as others do. He takes his time explaining what you’ll go through for the next few days and advises on how to manage the pain and answers questions.
When you check out, the staff member also gives advice and answers questions.
You always receive a phone call the next day, asking how you’re doing.
If you need a root canal, Dr. Marcus is your man!
