Got a good cut, I am traveling so I went here without knowing anything about the place. Place is clean and has a good atmosphere. Lady who cut my hair did a good job, it does cost a little more than other places but whoever wants to cut there for a few bucks should just buzz there own hair.

So made an appointment 1 day prior to reading the negative online review about this place. I’m so glad I decided to keep the appointment I made for my 14 year old grandson. This is his first year in H.S. and wanted him to feel really good about himself. We took a picture in to show her what he wanted… she nailed it! He was totally pampered with hot towels on his face, waxed uni brow, took the time to teach him about hair products and taught him how to style it. Jeanette the stylist and the receptionist were wonderful! When we left, my g-son could not stop looking at himself, he was so pleased. Roosters is great!

I would like to start off by saying that I was expecting to get a superior service for the amount of money I paid. I can get 2 haircuts down the street for the price of what they charge here.
This shop is staffed by women only, which is nice. However, the receptionist gave me virtually no eye contact, and all my stylist did was make remarks of how «poor» of a job the last barber I went to did, which I disagree with.
It all felt so rushed. I was hardly offered any conversation and when it came time to wash my hair, she shampoo’d it and didn’t condition, or even offer to do so!
For $ 1 more than what you would pay at their competitor shop, I’d say you save the dollar towards your tip at Whiskers in Madison.
