I quit buying from 11th Street Sonic about two years ago, because my food was always cold. Decided to give them another chance, a couple of weeks ago. Ordered a chicken fried steak sandwich, fries and drink. When I got home and bit into my sandwich, it was chicken, not steak, plus I had tater tots instead of fries. I went back today and ordered the same. Got home and when I bit into the sandwich, the steak was cold and hard. I would estimate it had been cooked a minimum of three hours, but probably more. I will not be going back.

I love this Sonic. They have never gotten my order wrong. I know there was some misinformation spread on social media recently by people claiming they were finding worms in their shakes. Health inspectors determined that was false, but still, I found myself checking my order closely. Nothing. Zero parasites.
Friendly staff. Timely service. Great food.

Waited 15 minutes for a sprite, a water and 2 mini blasts… in this time multiple cars were in and out of neighboring spots and uniformed employees were outside at their friends cars introducing coworkers and hanging out while loosely throwing around every curse word in the book. After hitting the button two more times we were finally told the we’re backed up over excess ice cream ordering. Then almost 5 minutes later we cancelled our order and called out the manager. Manager was very nice and apologized buy absolutely awful to wait almost 20 minutes with no service.

The manager contacted me and explained that their sonic blast machine makes thicker ice cream than their shake machine. It was the sonic blast machine that was broken. Wish the person taking my order had been more specific!

Our first experience at this location was terrible. It was at least a year ago now. The lady got our order wrong. Added mustard when we asked to substitute with mayo, there were pickles when I asked for none. Once getting home. We also realized they weren’t built correctly (nothing worse than a sandwich that falls apart before your first bite). So fed up we call this branch. Unlike most places we were greeted in a foul matter we explained our situation and wanted to talk to the manager, she said she made them and we could come back for a new meal… Now why would we do that? I will go to the other sonic (montgomery and sam houston) over this location any day! (sandwiches «burgers» aren’t hard to make. employees should be uniform in their building skills– take some care in your food preping, you wouldn’t want a slapped together burger.
That is all I will say!

Normally I won’t take fast food burger chains past 3 stars… but Sonic holds a special place in my heart. The drive in aspect is amazing and very nostalgic, the service is prompt and polite, and there are oddball menu items like syrups in drinks and promo burgers that just make this chain stand out from others. This particular location always has particularly helpful staff and a good attitude.
