This place is amazing! They homemake all of their favors right there. I especially love the fall seasonal flavors! I got cinnamon and sea salt caramel apple! Yum! The affogato is also amazing! The 2 owners are a sweet couple who make real conversation. It’s right off main st in a cute little home. Don’t leave Hyannis without checking it out!

Excellent family owned gelato shop. The couple is very friendly and would let you try the various flavors gladly. After lunch at the British Beer Company, we wanted something sweet, so glad we resorted to Unilocal and found this little spot not far down Pearl St. What a hidden gem. Hubby had pistachio and salted caramel gelato. There are pieces of pistachio in it. Creamy and not too sweet. I had Staglion(egg custard w. Orange zest & pinenuts) and maple cinnamon. Loved it.

A cute little Gelato place that appears to be built from a small house. All the flavors are nice and they even have interesting drinks such as Gelato mixed with espresso. There’s not that many places to sit besides a few benches on the porch of the house the Caffe Gelato was built on. I ended up buying gianduia gelato that tasted like chocolate. I wish I knew more about gelato so that I could write a better review but with my limited exposure to gelato, I can say that I am definitely a fan of Caffe Gelato Bertini and that I would come back if I ever go back to Cape Cod.

First of all I would like to start by saying I was here in mid afternoon on 8//17/15 also. And the parking lot is small. I found the owner pleasant and informative re: gelato. As other customers came in he was friendly and pleasant to them as well. On my numerous visit to Gelato Bertini I have always found the gelato to be superb and the owners very gracious.

Great spot, off the beaten path. Really great flavors! And that’s coming from recently tasting lots of gelato in Italy.

Absolutely incredible gelato! The owner/operators/chefs are in their encore careers and their gelato is amazing. I loved the tiramisu but the ginger gelato was to die for! Always different flavors and a different experience. Make it a point to stop here! If it’s during the day, you can also check out the little art galleries on the same street.

Don’t pass this place up! There’s lots of great ice cream on the Cape, but this is so special and different, AND easy to miss, just around the corner from Main St but it feels a world away, in an assuming Victorian home. The couple running the place are delightful and take such pride in their inventive rotation of flavors; bold exotic stuff like Cardamom Cream, Anise, and Zabaglione(Orange custard with pine nuts)… if it sounds offbeat for an ice cream flavor, trust them and give it a try! Seating is limited to a few nice benches on their porch, but there’s generally room for everybody if you’re not strolling with your gelato in hand. There’s also a water bowl outside for your dog, so they think of everyone!

Better than any ice cream parlor in Hyannis! Gelato also typically has a much lower fat content than ice cream, as the base for gelato is made from more milk rather than cream. So while you’re enjoying the most incredible gelato, you can also save yourself some calories(surely there is no better combination). :)

The best gelato I’ve had since being in Italy. The pistachio is made from nuts ground at the store and is fantastic.

Delicious homemade Gelato! It’s a hidden spot off Main St(look for the sign pointing towards«Gelato») that has a nice porch and friendly owners. They were happy to let us sample multiple flavors and explain how they made each flavor. Definitely a must stop for dessert.

This is the best gelato I’ve EVER tasted! I live in Boston & the North End shops are nothing compared to this. My boyfriend also used to live in Italy and said this is just like what he used to have when he used to live there. I got strawberry & the nutella flavor. I really enjoyed the nutella one but you can’t go wrong with any of the flavors. I’m sure they’re all just as good! The owners are super nice and helpful. They trained in Italy and make the gelato the old fashioned way. You definitely need to stop here when you visit the Cape!

Very nice owners, wonderful service and unbelievably good gelato. There is no need to find a parking spot on the busy streets as they have private parking out front. Bonus! The owner took the time to explain what gelato is to my kids, and gave explanations of a few of the Italian named flavors. The flavors rotate, and this visit I enjoyed stracciatelle(sp?) and caramel. The gelato is so creamy and divine. Flavors are strong, in a good way. The prices seemed a little bit high for what you get, but it is well worth it as it isn’t your ordinary ice cream. It’s a step above!(Or 2 or 3). Definitely recommend this lovely gem of a place.

fantastic gelato! On a strip full of ice cream spots, including Ben and jerrys, this place is a total standout. It is run by a super friendly couple that makes all flavors within the shop(unlike all other places on the Hyannis Main Street strip) and is located a half block off of Main St, which we found to be enjoyable and quiet while we munched on our gelato and coffee. Try the cardemom gelato!

Impressive! I was so overwhelmed with the amount of choices that I had to take a step back and breathe it all in– I felt I was in a colorful sweet dream! I really wanted to try it all but only chose 3 flavors– chocolate, hazelnut and blueberry mascarpone. To my surprise, being a chocolate lover and all, I absolutely loved loved –loved the blueberry mascarpone. Try it and you will see!

Quaint little place located just off Main St. in Hyannis. We couldn’t decide which of the 20 or so flavors we wanted to try so we opted for a large cup($ 6) of 3 different flavors: hazelnut, chocolate, and blueberry mascarpone. The latter was the best. The owners trained in Italy. They’ve been open seasonally for 6 years and you can tell they really care about the place. It’s immaculate and they mentioned how they meticulously manage the size of their inventory in an effort to maintain freshness. The gelato chef even came out from the back in full chef attire with the hat and all. A much better option than the Ben & Jerry’s around the corner. Only 4 small benches on the porch out front so you may not have a place to sit in the summertime.

My wife an I stopped by here earlier tonight and were utterly impressed with the flavors. As zabalgione wasn’t in the rotation tonight(when it is, it’s heaven). My wife went with the pistachio, and I had the almond fig. Both flavors were phenomenal. This place makes a true artisanal product and is certainly a true gem.
