This is a fine community orchestra and I have enjoyed many performances. What a great asset to culture on Cape Cod-​much easier than going to Boston! I have been to a number of performances and have enjoyed all.
However, I have to say that the Holiday concert this year missed the mark. it was usurped by the Annie Moses Band, who was the guest artist. As good as they were, it felt like it was an Annie Moses concert with Cape Cod Symphony Orchestra and even more sadly, The Chatham Chorale as backup performers. Even the Children’s Chorale performance was overshadowed by the lead singer of the Annie Moses band.
I haven’t done a review before for Cape Cod Symphony and so didn’t want to rate them on this performance alone, but I and I am sure many others weren’t happy with this
will continue to enjoy this local symphony and hope that next guest artists don’t overpower our beloved local performers.
