Went to there out side BBQ ordered food and drinks, I left after 30 minutes they never Brought out our drinks

I was there with my family of 5 for 40 minutes and no one ever came to our table to take our order. The weird part was the restaurant was not busy. We just got up and left. The food looked gross anyways.

Because of bad review, we tried this place for breakfast since we can’t go wrong. Pancakes could be better but the biscuit and gravy is good. Good enough for a quick grub.

I would not suggest coming on a sunday afternoon. It is a very busy time and the service is extremely slow. We had to wait a while to even order and have barely gotten half our food over an hour later. The server does not have a good attitude and doesn’t even place the plates down. She handed them to us and the food is barely warm.

Just no.
There are a bunch of other places in the area more worthy of your time and money.
We visited Idyllwild for the film festival and were hoping to try a number of restaurants in the area. Similarly to the other reviewers, we were plagued by servers moving at a glacial pace.
It was a Saturday afternoon, but was not crowded. The servers were completely unfazed by our telling them that we had somewhere to be, and made no effort to even check on the status of our food. It took a good 40+ minutes for our food to arrive, and when it did, my order was incorrect. The server did quickly realize that the kitchen had mistakenly traded regular fries for sweet potato fries, but my turkey burger was also void of cheese, which, I might add, is an additional $ 2.50. At this point, I was overtaken by hunger and thus didn’t bother to correct her.
That said, the turkey burger was certainly underwhelming, and I’m not fully sure if it was in fact a turkey burger, given that the rest of the order had been completely wrong– even though she reassured me that it was.
There are a variety of charming places in Idyllwild. This is not one of them.

Service was beyond awful. The food was not good. We could never find our waitress and I think they tell all of their staff that it’s against company policy to smile and be friendly. Go to Café Aroma and save yourself from the sub par food experience.

This is my second time here and both times the service is just awful. The waitress this time is not personable at all. We waited almost 20 minutes for her to take our drink choices and we are currently waiting another 30 minutes for our food. They do not come out to check on you.
If the food is good this time I’ll update this but I don’t see any progress thus far

This place was nothing to write home about. My chicken and avocado salad wasn’t earth shattering, I could have made it better at home. My waitress was fine. This place is not kid friendly. I had to change my two year olds diaper, went to the bathroom, no changing table so I laid a bunch of toilet seat covers on the floor and laid her down, I set my diaper on the shelf on the wall and the whole shelf fell off the wall and hit my 2 year old in the head. We definitely won’t be back, pretty dumpy place.

I could not think of a worse way to spend lunch.
We arrived at the restaurant to be greeted by two smiling ladies that seemed like they knew what they were doing. Unfortunately, neither of them were our servers.
The gentleman that waiting on our table waited about 20 minutes to come say hello, and then when we ordered two milkshakes he said there was a ⁵⁰⁄₅₀ chance that the machine was working since, «it is older than the building». He then finished our drink orders, and when he returned with beer, he never mentioned the shake. We didn’t bother to ask.
We ordered food and sipped on our beers for 45 minutes before it came out. It consisted of chicken strips, a quesadilla, a salad, a BBQ sandwich, and 3 burgers — nothing too complicated. The BBQ sandwich looked like someone threw up on it, and my friend only took two bites before losing his appetite. My burger was black on the outside and almost black on the inside. The rest of the food would have been fine had it been cheap bar food, but each item was $ 12-​$ 13 and not even worth $ 5. The best part was when my friend who ordered chicken strips was brought an entire fajita plate. We said it was not the correct plate and the waiter just held the fajitas over the table for a solid 10 – 15 seconds waiting for him to change his mind.
We sent it back since it is not what he ordered (none of us even saw fajitas on the menu), and waited for 40 more minutes. My friend finally went to find the waiter and tell him that we didn’t need the chicken strips anymore, he said, «Yeah I figured you would just cancel them.» Great service.
As we were leaving he did bring out the chicken strips, and it was 4 strips for $ 12 (he did not get charged for his).
I highly recommend finding another restaurant to eat at.

Reuben was great! but BBQ sandwich looks like sloppy-​joe from a can and tastes like slop. Not the BBQ and Beer Garden sign that looks like it belongs to this building. Chicken fingers are frozen, and I could get better from the gas station. Service was mediocre at best, you can tell they just deal with tourists as all day and don’t care whether your order comes out correctly.

I had a very tasty dinner at a very attractive price. I’d seen their specials on Facebook but just have nene gone in. It’s been over a year since my last visit. The atmosphere tonight was casual and not very busy. There were two servers that took care of of about 10 tables plus a couple pub tables. I chose the Shepherds Pie special cause I was hungry and it was something I haven’t had in a long time. I chose a salad and cup of clam chowder which was included it was all pretty good. I would say this was comfort food. Had a few cups of coffee and a couple scoops of Pumpkin ice cream. Noticed a table of the local firefighters. Most guests looked local. 50% were families with children. This is a good option for town locals as well as visitors who may frequent restaurants like Denny’s, Applebee’s, or similar. The service was friendly and casual.

I’ve been here a number of times now, came in for a quick lunch over the weekend, we got good service and good food.
Seating can be a bit cramped since they put too many tables and chairs together, it’d be great if they spaced them so you dont rub backs with the neighbors.

The service is always so bad that I feel like we are bothering them by coming to their restaurant. It is impossible to get a drink and everything just seems unorganized all of the time. I really like their grounds and location in the center of town so would love it if they could get it together. We have tried the place three times so I have to say we gave them a fair shot. There are so many wonderful restaurants in Idyllwild with great outdoor spaces and live music that there just isn’t a point to Joann’s anymore.

Tried it again. Though the interior has been updated since our last visit, the results were about the same. $ 2.95 each for a coffee and tea? All and all, the bill was $ 24 for a less than average lunch. Refills of the coffee and tea were not offered and they seemed to be understaffed or perhaps not clear concentrating on the customers. Doubt we’ll be back as there are plenty of other respectable eateries in the area.

One travels here from far to get the Idyllwild town experience only to get a horrible customer service. No wait inside nor outside but we waited 30 minutes for our order to be taken. Hour wait for our food to be brought to our table. Allergic to mushrooms and I specifically asked for no mushrooms on my eggs and I got mushrooms on my eggs. Waitresses were being completely ignoring our table. Restaurant is a nice place to eat but the two waitress that helped were being b#$&&.

Stopped in here for a beer to relax and cool down. It was fairly quiet inside, but busy outside from the Jazz Festival. The staff was cool and laid back, but I can see how that can also turn into poor service. As I sit at the bar with a empty drink in front of me, the bartender and staff were all kicking back having a good time. Nothing wrong with that at all, but if you have customers AT the bar, just look over really quick and check up. Did not eat anything, so cant comment on the food. Cute spot for a drink and some music, but if you are in a hurry, I dont think this is your spot.

I came here for a rehearsal dinner last weekend and after reading the reviews, was honestly scared to eat anything.
The barbecue wasn’t the best but it did the job. I left full and happy. I actually really enjoyed the beef ribs too — I usually only eat pork but these were really tasty and had a lot of flavorful meat on the bone.
Service was great too — the waiters were super friendly and overall, everyone really enjoyed their experience. I wouldn’t go out of my way to go here and I can definitely see how people had some bad experiences when they ventured beyond barbecue, but overall, it could’ve been worse.

Only 2 reasons to come here: 1– Good outdoor seating, under trees, & 2– Live Band. That’s it. With only 5 – 6 items on a mystery menu that’s hidden somewhere, you’d think the food would be at least decent. But noo. We had the BBQ burger but there was no BBQ anywhere and the lettuce, tomato & onion were warped in cellophane probably hours ago. I had BBQ ribs with very little BBQ sauce brushed on it.
All the food was cold & we suspect cooked hours ago. So, 1 BBQ burger w 2 cold sides, 1 BBQ ribs w 2 cold sides, 1 can coke (no fountain drinks served outside) & 1 ice water $ 31.21!!! Because there’s no menu you don’t know what a rip off this place this. I will end w positive note: little town very quaint w cute cabin stores :)

We’ve been here several times over the years. Never been impressed with the food, we keep trying it due to location. Today we decided to come enjoy the live music and try the BBQ. Except, we arrived for dinner just after 430 and the musicians were packing up (we thought for a break alas we were wrong, shut down for the night before 5pm on a summer Saturday). Hmm ok.
The place is nearly empty right now but our BBQ order from 30 min ago still hasn’t come. We don’t support GMO corn with built in pesticides and there are no substitutes allowed so we are down to 1 side dish of baked beans… no prices posted anywhere, no outdoor BBQ menu.
I’m just not sure what’s taking so long. At least the drink guy was fast. Maybe she forgot about us over at table 24. Oh wait, here it comes finally…

Service blows. Woman taking the order is a complete bitch. Wouldn’t add an extra patty, wouldn’t let our group of 10 PEOPLE sit in the shade because we had to sit in the designated area. No exception. What a crock.
Food is par. Expensive as hell. Wouldn’t come back.
