Very good. She had me at, «Mimosa»? Good food to order, relaxation and attention. Waitress was attentive small menu to get fast service by they beach not expensive.

Love the place and love the burgers but expect to wait a while for your food. I love going there but if I’m too hungry I rather go somewhere else because I already know they will be taking a long time. Business has a lot of potential, perhaps adding more staffing would make this a 5 star place.

Really want to like this place. I’ve been here several times now and the food is always incredible. Always an awesome beer list as well. However, the last few times I’ve been there they are incredibly understaffed. Last time the entire downstairs section was full and several people were on the patio and the only person working the ENTIRE place was the bartender. I really felt bad for the guy as it wasn’t his fault. Management needs to get a clue because they are about to run a good thing straight into the ground.

Brought my parents here today for lunch. Grabbed some menus and had a seat. The place seemed busy with most people just drinking alcohol. There was only one girl working and she seemed overwhelmed. After sitting for 10 minutes and never being acknowledged, we walked out. We won’t be back.

This place is just a 5 minute walk from my house for me so it’s great to end your evening here. Watching the sunset because it’s literally right on the beach and they have an upstairs and downstairs! I have been here a handful of times now and the trivia nights are always the best. They always have a packed house and it’s full of entertainment and laughter. Great vibes from this place! The last time I went I got one of the specials going on, grilled cheese and tomato soup. It was very filling and tasty! The service is great there. However, I think they were a tad short handed when I was there because bless this woman’s heart! She was the only one on the floor and there were quite a few people filling up the tables. But I must say that she handled everything like a boss because she kept everyone happy and was very personable. Despite the semi-slow service I am of course going back to this wonderful restaurant and bar! Two thumbs up!:)

Cool looking place super cool people but I’ve been waiting 35 minutes for a chicken sandwich and a chicken wrap. There was only 2 ladies in front of our order. It doesn’t take that long to make a chicken sandwich and a wrap even if it’s fresh. My girlfriend didn’t like her wrap it had too much spinach not enough chicken but the chef was actually concerned and offered something on the house so for that I give it 3 stars. The chicken sandwich on whole wheat was bomb!

The service is great. There seems to only be one server(who plays bartender and hostess) at all times. She’s great! But I think she could use a little help in busy times :-) I’ve sat upstairs once and loved it but haven’t been able to since, it seems to not get serviced often. BLT, amazing. Mac and cheese, to die for. Brunch specials have always been awesome! Last time I got chilaquiles, so good.

Just stopped in for happy hour beers, but the hospitality and service was great. We got here right after 4 and were greeted with a smile and told to sit anywhere(we chose upstairs for the view). Our waitress was attentive without being pushy and we had a chance to meet the owner who is an IB local. It’s a family run place with a chill environment. I will definitely be visiting Barrels next time I’m in town. Loved the vibe of this place!

Great place to hang with friends and they are 100% on their game now! It was always a great place to come but now the menu is outstanding and plenty of healthy, substantial options! Ribeye, wings, house made bleu cheese that is out of this world, and amazing salads to boot! This is your best atmosphere and best value on the beach! Don’t miss! Dave the owner is often here and the patio is amazing too!

Came to Barrels for brunch instead of lunch because I was hungry by 11 am. LOL! Barrels is located near the beach and playground. We were lucky to find parking on a Sunday morning. Someone was leaving as we pulled up. Got parking right across the street from Barrels. We walked in and seated ourselves inside. My younger brother was with us. He treated us for brunch. Thanks bro! I ordered just a water to drink. I went with the salmon omelette with potatoes. The omelette was filled with thick chunks of salmon, mozzarella cheese and spinach. Omelette was delicious and has lots of cheese in it. Flavorful and tasty. The potatoes were cooked well with the green and red peppers and onions. However, it was a little greasy. The omelette was fine but the onions, green and red peppers were doused with oil. My daughter had the chocolate chip pancake with a slice of bacon. It came with a cup of syrup. The pancakes were excellent, light and fluffy. Best pancakes ever! Service was okay as one waitress was working the floor and bar area. Wait wasn’t too long. The dining area was small but there were two television screens up near the bar area. People were watching football. Nice place to have brunch. I will have to come back for lunch or dinner. Great place to eat at an affordable price.

I love how this place is a 5 minute walk from me! We’ve been here plenty of times mainly for brunch menu. My husband and I are #1FANS of their chicken and waffles. It’s seriously to die for! We’ve had it at lead 10+ times, NEVER disappoints. I haven’t had a chance to take a picture; too busy scarfing if down! :D Last week we decided to try out something different on the menu. I got a bowl of gumbo which had generous portions of shrimp and sausages! Very flavorful and the right amount of spice to it.(next time I’ll go for the cup) My husband ordered the some kind of club sandwich(maybe BLT?) either way, if you’re a fan of meat, you should definitely give it a try! It was absolutely delicious! Our little one ordered a kids grilled cheese and fries, she was happy therefore so were we:) *the waitress gave her a big bucket of crayons and coloring paper which is definitely a plus!!* Other than the food, customer service here is hands down THEBEST! The owner is always around with a big ol’ smile making sure everything is beyond satisfactory. & they offer military discount!

I have been here twice and I absolutely love it. I had their guac and chips the fist time, guac was fresh, nice balance between the onion and tomato. There was plenty of chips to go with that too. This time I had the Mac n Cheese with shrimp. I am very picky about my mac N Cheese and let me tell you I was pleasantly surprised. The shrimp was tender, cooked perfectly. The pasta was also cooked al dente, no soggy overcooked pasta here! And finally the cheese sauce… A-mazing. My hubby had the BBQ western burger. He loved it. I tried it and I will definitely order a burger next time. The beer/wine prices are good too. Officially my new favorite spot by the beach :)

Id give this place a 0 if I could. Please see my photo of my «excellent» macs chicken and waffles. So first of all the place is empty. For some reason the chef can’t stop leaving the back. He comes out and goes back and forth(big guy in a black shirt) he came out once and asked our waitress to get him a cup of ice cause they want to «do something» O. o So our total time in the restaurant on a Thursday night at 550pm was an hour and a half. We ordered two items. No drinks. No apps. What really warrants the one star you ask? My waffles were limp and burned(how?!) … And even worse my syrup was«BUTTER flavored» breakfast syrup. Omg… And my chicken had FEATHERS!!! Freaking FEATHERS!!! nasty! Fire that chef or be ashamed. Shame Shame

This place puts the, «B» in a BLT!!! 6 strips of bacon per sandwich! Ummmmmm, fuck yeah!!! I had it twice in 5 days… lol. Imperial Beach is a tough place to own a business. It’s a mix of tourists, locals and gang members… lol(Don’t worry it’s heavily patrolled by the Sheriff’s Department.) Bottom line is you never know how many people are gonna be in town at one time. So here is the deal with this place. Because you never know how busy it will be, it’s hard to schedule staff. That’s the problem with this place. Service is a little off. The manager knows it but does his best to hide it. The problem is that the more you try to hide the obvious, the more obvious the obvious becomes. My advice to the GM. Chill a little bit and just let your delicious food speak for itself!
