Excellent customer service both from the doctor and from staff! Got my glasses in 1 hour :)

I’ve been seen by Dr Hanono for the past 7 years and he’s a good OD. I recently went to get new glasses and the staff was nice enough to help pick out some sun glasses that fit my face. They are pretty busy most of the time but I can see how they try their best to at least greet you or acknowledge you.

I’ve lived in Imperial Beach for about a year now. I’m all about proximity and convenience, so always choose doctors close to me. I’ve had some pretty bad experiences with my PCP here in IB, so was hesitant to go to an eye doctor here, but went ahead and made an appointment. Honestly, this is the BEST optometry office I have ever been to. Was pleasantly surprised by how smooth and painless the whole process was. All of the front desk staff were so nice and accommodating. They even fixed my broken glasses for me, which I sprung on them randomly. Even the dreaded «eye puff» test seemed less anxiety-​inducing. My girl did it pretty quickly — less anticipation the better! I saw Dr. Abraham Hanono. He was very personable and friendly. Normally, eye exams are kind of awkward and unpleasant, like I’m failing some kinda test I didn’t study for. But Dr. Hanono was very precise, amiable and good-​humored throughout the exam so it flew by. I was interested in trying colored contacts and was able to try on multiple contacts to decide what I liked best. Overall, they run a very tight operation here and the customer service is excellent. Plus, they’re right next to Wally’s Marketplace and CVS which I frequent often. So all around super convenient. Happy to have found an optometrist I like here!

Love. Everyone here is so nice, patient and helpful. Both Dr. Hanonos were very nice and proffessional. Entire staff was very helpful and accommodating. Great selection of glasses, sunglasses, contacts, and options for all. Up front about costs, and even without insurance seems affordable. Plus, check out their exclusive line of sunglasses developed by one of the good Dr’s himself, bamboo sunglasses from sustainable source that float! Genius!

This place is great! My doctor was quick, precise and very helpful with everything. The nurses were also very sweet and knowledgeable about what they were doing. I was in and out in about 30 minutes, and my appointment was booked the same week I first called. A+ guys! Great experience and I would def recommend this place to my friends.

As I had heard excellent things about imperial beach optometry, I decided to give them a try after I had purchased a pair of designer glasses that was giving me a lot of issues at a different office. Dr Hanono’s office is state of the art and meticulous. The staff was so attentive and the doctor’s concern to address my problem gave me complete confidence that he would do a great job. And he did!!! I am so happy that I discovered Dr. Hanono!

I am new to the area and was in need of an eye exam for new contacts. I called and was able to get a same day appointment and the staff was great! They were super friendly and helpful. Dr. Hanono was awesome and answered all of my questions. There are not enough words to express how great my whole experience was! I highly recommend it!

Came back from seeing a chain practice. Dr Hanono is such a gentleman and he know his stuff. Always upfront about costs and on time. Great practice overall. Expanded office space and always good parking

I never been to this place before but I broke my eye glass and needed a repair fast. I found this place because it’s really convenient for me. I came in today to get my eye glass fix and I was really impressed on how Isabel took care of me. She was very friendly and provided excellent customer service. She fix my eye glass in less than 10 mins and to top it all she hooked me up and told me it’s free of charge. The place is very inviting, clean, and organized. I would highly recommend this place to my family and friends.

My 3 year old daughter HATES going to the optometrist and I searched high and low for someone I felt would make her comfortable. Dr. Hanono has to be the nicest, most patient optometrist I have ever met. He made my daughter feel at ease and she loves her new glasses! I highly highly recommend, especially if you have children!

Doc helped me out when I was due for a new prescription and made sure I had the right one for my eyes. Dude’s a good man and is very kind and very helpful. He puts in the extra time to make sure your experience in gettting new frames/​contacts is as smooth as possible.

I have been going to Dr. Hanono for over 15 years, since I was a little girl and the office was in San Ysidro, he is the best! I love this guy! He’s very friendly, and makes recommendations based on your exam results and makes sure that you understand what is going on with your eyeballs. :)
They have state-​of-​the-​art equipment, and usually the wait/​exam will take about 30 – 60 minutes total. He never tries to rush you or up-​sell products.
The staff is wonderful as well, with the exception of the guy that repairs glasses.
He sucks. I went in to have my little girl’s glasses straightened/​fitted one day, and he took the glasses around the corner, fiddled with them alittle, then he put them on the counter for the staff to give back to me! What?!? Aren’t you going to put them on my daughter and see if they are straight or too tight??? I guess not. He didn’t look at us once, and he just disappeared around the corner.
I didn’t make a fuss, I just take my daughter to another office, Dr. Christine Davis (A Visible Change), in Bonita. They are all awesome with kids, and take the time to properly fit the glasses!
