Worse diabetic supply company I have ever worked with. They’ve made so many mistakes that the department head started handling my sons supplies and still made mistakes. Forgot to ship, sent the wrong pump supplies, and also said the doctor screwed up. My son has been a diabetic for 11 years and has never had a problem until we worked with this company. They don’t seem to realize that people’s lives depend on the supplies.

I have used them for about six months since having started my insulin pump. Constant late orders or sending of wrong supplies. My customer representing assigned to my account (yvonne) would transfer me to customer service rather than taking my calls. I have switched to another pharmacy and would never use them again. Now what do I do with the wrong supplies sent to me, trash I guess like this company.

I had to order glucose monitor supplies through Solara, and they were just AWFUL. They faxed the wrong number multiple times, and had the nerve to (a) blame the doctor’s office when THEY didn’t follow through on a single fax, and (b) charge me $ 51 to overnight my supplies when their incompetence led to delays, which led to me needing supplies ASAP before a big trip.
They were completely unhelpful throughout the whole process. I won’t be ordering through them again.
I can’t speak to how the pharmacy acts in its brick and mortar store, but based on their Pump/​Diabetic Supply mail business, I can’t imagine it is any less incompetent, unorganized, and patient-​unfriendly.

horrible! Do not use this company. Unorganized, always mess up on my daughter’s pump supplies. Don’t ship on time, fax wrong doctors to get refills.

The also do business as Solara Medical Supply. The service stinks, the people you talk to are incompetent and they don’t follow thru. I would give them a zero if I could.

We have been receiving insulin and diabetic supply shipments from Solara/​Imperial Beach Pharmacy for a few years, and it had always been very consistent.
Just recently, it has become really, really bad. Missed shipments of insulin, and then shipping the wrong type of insulin. Had we not checked, this would have seriously endangered my daughter’s health.
I’ve switched my daughter’s prescription over to my local Target and will never go back to using this company again.

I have used Imperial Beach Pharmacy for 25 years, with a brief exception when,
at my insurance company’s urging, I switched to to a by-​mail pharmacy so I could save a tiny bit of money and get a 90 day of my meds. This worked fine until I ordered refills which got lost in the mail. The by-​mail pharmacy would not replace the lost order until 10 days after I reported it missing, and Anthem/​Blue Shield — my insurance company at the time — very politely did absolutely nothing. I did the only logical thing, and went back to I.B. Pharmacy.
The owner and staff treat me like a human being and know me by name. I’ve gotten nearly instant new or refills when I waited until the last minute. They assisted me in obtaining approval from my insurance company when I needed early refills prior to an extended vacation. They don’t close for lunch as does Costco where my wife gets her meds.
Friendly people running a business exactly as they should!

Only because I can’t give them zero Stars. I came into fill my prescription because they have cheaper prices than CVS and it is pretty close to my house. When I walked in I wasn’t greeted. I stood there waiting for about 10 minutes and no body said they would be right with me or anything. I was basically invisible. They stood behind the back counter talking and completely ignored me. After about 15minutes I left and went to Walmart. Where even though I have to drive 20−30minutes at least I am greeted and acknowledged. And my prescription is even CHEAPER! I will never go here again and strongly suggest that you don’t either unless you like horrible customer services and rude people.
