i felt this vacation rental could have been better for an assortment of reasons. this place was truly mediocre. first of all, up the icy hill, we couldn’t coast on by even with chains on. so we had to park our car at the casino while one of our other cars drove us up. and then, there was no stock of toilet papers or paper towels for the guests to use. we had to rely on ONEROLL of toilet paper we brought ourselves for the 2 bathrooms. and we’re talking about 13 people vs 1 roll. with the paper towel, we had to get creative on that one. The hand soap was diluted with water with barely any soap left. i guess they’re really cutting back on expenses. hot water for the shower was hard to find. every time i took a shower, it was painfully cold. & note, i visited this place while it was 17 degrees outside. it was like i was running naked thru the snow. the 3 electrical sockets in one of the rooms were out of order, so it was difficult to charge laptops, phones or ipods. on top of that, no wifi. also, the arcade machine and the directtv did not operate correctly. i felt i was traveling back in time because all the magazines were from 2005. this place seriously needs an renovation and current periodic publications. although, i’ll praise the location of the house on the hill, which has a wonderful view of Lake Tahoe. i liked how it’s in driving distances to rite-aid and safeway. also, the house itself was really comfortable, but it lacked personality, taste and some homely necessities like cleaning agents and cooking materials. a few things about the house. it has 2 bathrooms, 4 bedrooms, a loft with 2 twin beds, 2 balconies, fireplace, and bars up & downstairs(alcohol not included). the house was okay but there were too many obstacles for a supposedly«relaxing» vacation. i would look around before considering staying here again.
