We have been buying Karen’s art for several years. She and her other artists offer several outstanding handmade art items for the home, office and they make wonderful gifts. Karen is a very gifted artist and has created beautiful quilted items. I highly recommend people take time out of their visit to Lake Tahoe and visit «Handmade At the Lake».

Handmade at the Lake features a wide assortment of quilts, jewelry, and art from local artists. All of the work is professional and unique. You’ll never walk around the shop just once; there is so much detail to the work that it is impossible not to take a second look. Quilts can be made to order on
or you can choose from a wide variety in the shop.

This is a great store in Incline Village that specializes in art and all things handmade. Everything in the place is handmade by local artists, including the owner, who makes jewelry as well as the beautiful quilts, table runners and hot pads –which make the best souvenirs and hostess gifts!
Take your time and make sure you explore every corner of this wonderful gem of a store! i find something new and unique each time I wander in.
