Shame on you Dan Yori (owner)! He is very dishonest and very expensive. He bids jobs for dishonest people like himself.

Flowers were a day late and no discount was given. They called to tell me, so my husband was disappointed they weren’t a surprise. It would have been better had they called him to revise the order.

I’m pretty bummed that this place didn’t follow through on my order. Great customer service when ordering my flowers, but it was as if she hung up and completely forgot to actually to place my order.
I ordered an arrangement on Thursday to be delivered on Sunday morning (was not informed on the phone when I ordered that they don’t do deliveries on Sunday). I called on Sunday morning to check on my order, and they told me there was no order placed under my name or anything close to it.
I’m very disappointed in their unreliable service. I guess if you aren’t hosting a party or event then it isn’t worth their time.

I just want to share my recent experience at High Sierra Gardens here in Incline Village. I am renting a unit in town, and have a small garden plot (about the size of a big jacuzzi?) in front that I wanted to fill with color. I arrived at HSG at about 3pm, but was given ALL the time, care and advice I needed. One of the guys suggested that I take a picture of my garden and bring that in for more detailed advice on what to plant. GREAT IDEA!!!
So I dashed home, took a picture, and returned with my photo! Noreen spent about an hour helping me set aside a colorful assortment of plants that would work in the space given. Knowing that ease of gardening was one of my goals, she recommended perennials, which — hopefully! — will come back yearly to bloom. We got a wagon-​load of plants ready, and then, as it was closing time, I left the wagon on the side for my return the next day. That gave me time to go home, take more measurements, and reflect on my choices.
When I returned to HSG this morning, Noreen was already outside by my wagon, changing the arrangement and also providing lots of options for me to assess before my final purchase. She gave me advice on how to prune/​maintain the plants and the easiest way to get them into the garden. Not only that, but she literally drew out on my photo exactly where each plant should be placed for optimal effect! She was amazing in her total customer focus and knowledge of what would work best given additional constraints of sunshine and available water in my garden.
I left HSG not only feeling that every possible angle had been looked at with care, but also knowing that I will come back again and again to this amazing oasis of healthy, colorful plants and friendly, very knowledgeable people here. I’m excited to get my outdoor garden planted, and am already thinking about some houseplants that I can buy at HSG with the expert advice available. Very satisfying experience!

Update your hours of operation and add more photos. Awesome natural setting for a fully stocked retail nursery

I would not recommend this place. I needed a simple bouttoniere and bridal bouquet for a very small and casual wedding. I asked for ivory and blush flowers with evergreens. I called and spoke with the woman to make sure all of this would be fine. The day of my wedding, the stuff was delivered to the hotel… with tons of RED roses! And there were no evergreens to be seen anywhere. It was too late to do anything about it. And now I will forever have red roses in my pictures when it was supposed to be blush and ivory.
After the wedding, I wrote to High Sierra Gardens to tell them I was disappointed. And they didn’t bother to respond to me at all. I feel they did not listen to my request, they did took my money and did what was most convenient for them, and they don’t care whether I’m a satisfied customer or not. Well, I’m not.
I would not trust this place with anything!

I will say they did a wonderful job with our wedding party floral (bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, etc), however they were overall the most difficult vendor I had to deal with for my wedding. Michelle, their special events contractor, was very difficult to get a hold of and it took us over 4 months to sort out our floral arrangements. Their office manager was very rude when I followed up on communications days (and even weeks) overdue. She was very rude to my day-​of planner – refusing to give her a cellphone number where she could be reached and then leaving the site before final inspection. Overall, we felt as though they didn’t deliver on what was promised. If you’re planning an event, I would highly recommend looking elsewhere for a florist.

Tahoe’s a tricky place to have a garden — plants have to be hardy enough to endure a short but hot summer, and a long winter buried under small glaciers of ice. So it’s great to use a local garden shop like this because they really understand what you need if you are a local. While prices are high (and what prices in Tahoe aren’t?), the quality of the plants here are superb. Lots of fun little gift items and garden ornaments too if you want to sparkle up your backyard. The staff are really nice too. And my favorite — dragging around an old red Flyer wagon to cart your plant choices around the garden. HOLLA.

They do a beautiful job in their gift area.
There’s lots of home décor, as well as jewelry & candles. I don’t get up to Tahoe often, but I always have to check out High Sierra for gifts I don’t see in LA!

We decided on the spur of the moment to get married up in Tahoe. Went in one afternoon and picked up our gorgeous bouquets and arrangements the next morning.
Interesting and inviting shop and what more can we say — customer service!!!

Very helpful and nice staff! I had them prepare a bouquet for my girlfriend on Valentine’s day last year.
The only downside is the price, and they seemed very expensive!
Bottom line:
If you are looking for the highest quality floral shop in the area and you have $$$ to spend, this is ti.
