Food was good. Had the fish dip, which I’m not normally a fan of, but theirs was good. The Chicago oysters are very tasty. Had Travis as our server and he was awesome! Super friendly and knowledgable about the menu.

This place has the BEST naked wings in town! I had a whole basket of them, and they were the best wings I’ve ever had in my life. And also, our waitress, was the nicest and funniest waiter I’ve had in this town. She was very friendly and also very funny. Her name was Rachel just in case anyone reading this plans to go there. I recommend going there during dinner time since for some reason it’s never been crowded during that time period. It’d also be great for a celebration since I heard that you get a free birthday dessert or something, but I’m not sure.

Lulu’s is a semi-divey, all around Floridian restaurant with a few hits, and possibly a few more misses. I’ve been in multiple times, so this review is a culmination of past experiences, and of my most recent visit on a Sunday afternoon. Inside, the restaurant has closely packed tables and a long bar. Their menu is relatively simple and small, but feels a little jumbled. First off, I would recommend checking in and getting the fish spread. It’s got a nice smokey flavor, and fondly reminds me of tuna fish spread. Secondly, I would recommend going on a Sunday or Monday for all you can eat Feast for $ 22. The Feast comes with snow crab, clams, muscles, and shrimp with two sides. Consistently, the crab is sweet, the clams and muscles flavorful, and the shrimp satisfactory. On this particular occasion, we had a rather large party. The fish spread was a good starter, but I was immediately wary of our experience as our waitress took awhile to get us our drinks and appetizer. The restaurant was pretty full, so relatively understandable. We got a dozen raw oysters of some random variety and a dozen«Chicago-style» oysters. Both tasted pretty fresh with no complaints and they came out surprisingly quickly. Now, here comes the hits and misses. We waited roughly an hour before anyone got any food. Everyone ordered The Feast, with one person ordering a fried grouper sandwich and another ordering naked wings with sauce on the side. After waiting, all of The Feasts were served, but appeared as if the food was just thrown quickly together on the tray. Although the seafood was consistently good, there was an odd menagerie of food with some plates having more of one seafood than others. Almost each order had a missing or incorrect side. While the waitress noticed the discrepancy, and it wasn’t a huge deal, it didn’t end there. The wings, which had come out just after The Feasts were served, came out covered in sauce. Again, the waitress noticed it immediately and sent it back before it even hit the table: good on her. However, it wasn’t until the end of the first round of The Feast when the grouper sandwich and fixed wings hit the table. The fish was cooked well and was extremely hot, but it made the bun soggy very fast. Equally, there wasn’t a lot of flavor in the batter, fish, and even tartar sauce. And again, we waited for our second round of all you can eat seafood Feast; what would become a recurring theme with 30+ minutes in between orders. We even found ourselves clearing our own trash and emptying out own plates into the nearby trash can. Although our waitress was clearly attentive and competent despite the number of patrons, I can’t help but feel like many of the mistakes were out of her hands. Overall, Lulu’s is your typical Florida beach restaurant with some atypical features. Their all you can eat Feast is a great deal and the quality of seafood in it won’t disappoint. Likewise, their oysters, while not being the best I’ve ever had, definitely hit the spot. However, their slow service and lack of attentiveness in the back of house hinders them from becoming a standout restaurant. That being said, their front of house staff seemed capable and friendly. Their prices are good and their atmosphere fits, but something is definitely left to be desired. Because we live in the area and like their weekly deals, we will probably be back, but perhaps it’s time to start searching for another seafood place. Maybe next time Lulu’s.

Service was ok a bit slow but they were busy. I had the beer battered shrimp special it was good. Daughter had the crabs legs they were a little rubbery but edible. Come before the rush! Wanted to try the smoked fish spread which was free when you checked in but out waitress forgot it. When questioned she made it right though she tried really hard to make up for not putting it in.

We had blackened grouper tacos and steamed shrimp. Very good! Service was great! Simple but a decent bite to eat for lunch on a hot day.

Eh. We showed up here during tropical storm Colin, a little goofy from being couped up all day. They sat us quickly. The décor is not my thing. A basket of silverware, paper towels hanging from a hanger on the ceiling… Pass. I ordered the grouper sandwich and it was on the soggy side. The fries were good. One of our party’s dinner wasn’t delivered until way after we alerted the waitress. The prices were fair I suppose, but not a place I would frequent. It’s a little too kitschy for me.

Thanks for the smoked fish spread with my Unilocal check-in! I liked the little chunks of fish in it vs. a smooth spread. Siracha hot wings sauce was really good. For my entrée I ordered the shrimp dinner — got beer battered — they were good, nothing amazing, but worth $ 7(special for the night). The sides were very disappointing — the fresh veggies were about ¼ cup of finely diced unseasoned zucchini that may have been microwaved; the cucumber salad was a few slices of cucumbers, grape tomatoes, and not homemade poppyseed dressing — meh, especially after the server raved on about it — clearly he has never tried it. Other entrees ordered off the regular priced menu were uninspired and overpriced(grouper, salmon). Note — no one in our party ordered oysters so perhaps we missed out on the best offerings at this OYSTER bar! ;) The food is mediocre and atmosphere contrived touristy ‘where the locals go’(uhm… maybe?) I will probably not revisit given there are several other similar looking restaurants in the area that I would try before giving Lulu’s a 2nd chance.

We came here on a referral of a friend. And I’m so glad we did we have been looking for an all you can eat crab legs restaurant. We ate til we were about to burst. I like this place bc it’s laid back and you just feel like your at home! We arrived on Sunday around 4 o’clock and there weren’t many people there, by the time we left there was a wait to get in! Jennifer was our waitress and she was amazing. We ate the feast which came with crab legs shrimp muscles and shrimp hush puppies and one side for 22.99 and you get a lulus plastic cup with the beverage! I’m so glad we came we will be back again! If you try the smoked fish spread, add Lulus Hot Sauce… Very tasty!

We went there because of good reviews on Unilocal. It’s one of those«hole in the wall» type places, with rolls of paper towel on hangers at your table. We were served by Dan who started with jokes… and quickly showed his professionalism. Very knowledgeable on the menu and drinks. He basically did everything perfectly from start to finish. The food was amazing, nice choice of combinations you can make. Oysters are the bomb! Great sauces with different dishes. Beauty selection of tap beers too. This was the best meal we had all week(five of us agreed). This place is a must! Quick service, grouper is awesome and fresh from the day. They have their own boats that fish daily. Least expensive we had all week too. Will recommend and will return. You can also sign some dollar bills that you stick on the wall. It is all given to children’s charities at year’s end.

Excellent food. Jamie(bartender) made us very good handmade Bloody Mary’s when we asked for«Good Bloody Mary’s». Both the Grouper soup and the shrimp chiefs were delicious. We had fish tacos and a grouper sandwich which were both great. The fish spread was pretty good too. Recommended. Revisited today, the Sunday & Monday special is the Seafood Feast! $ 22 for all-you-can-eat Snow Crab legs, steamed mussels, steamed clams, and steamed shrimp, Hush puppies with honey butter sauce! Delicious!

Based on my meal I would give it 3 stars. However everyone else enjoyed their meals so I’ll give it 4. We started out with the fish dip from the check in. A bit too much mayo, but my husband has made me a fish dip snob haha I had a blackened grouper sandwich with fries. There was very little blackening season on my grouper. The fries however were excellent. My grandmother had the grouper sandwich fried and I believe that’s the way to go with the grouper. Skip the blackened style and go all out with the fried fish! My sister in law had the fried chicken and loved it. It was a full half chicken. It was a ton of food! Needless to say I wasn’t super impressed with my grouper sandwich, but everyone else in our party enjoyed their food. So go and check it out for yourself!

When in IRB, you have numerous options to enjoy all kinds of seafood and tasty fruity drinks. Lulu is definitely on my list of those select few places to get some good seafood and drinks. We instantly felt that this will be fun place when we saw a giant 8′ Flamingo statue outside Lulu’s. Even though it was 6:30 pm, the inside was packed. The walls were decorated with all kinds of beach themed decorations. When we sat down, the first thing we noticed was paper towels hanging right our head. This was a neat concept as anytime you needed a napkin all you did was reach up! We started off with the famous fish spread. I have to say that this is the best fish spread I had ever eaten. It wasn’t too fishy or had too much mayo. It was quickly gone as we kept eating it with all the saltines sitting on the table. For drinks, we got the $ 3 Margaritas which they say is a special only till 6pm but our server was so cool that he didn’t care what time it was and kept giving everybody this special. The margaritas were strong and not too sweet… just the way I like them and I highly recommend you try one. For the entrée, we split a battered grouper sandwich. The bun was soft and fresh and the grouper wasn’t overly breaded. It also came with a side of fries. Lulu was a fun experience with good drinks and a great fish spread. The service was fast and friendly. I recommend going here and taking your out-of-town family when they come visit.

After a long day spent soaking up the sun, we tried LuLus today for dinner. The restaurant itself has a very Florida-casual-feel with lots of flamingos and a paper towel roll floating above each table, which is fun. Checking in on Unilocal will earn you a free fish spread appetizer that was tasty(everything tastes better free, right?!) We ordered peel & eat shrimp and some mussels to split along with a greek salad. The shrimp and mussels were pretty standard, nothing to write home about– but there were a lot! And the greek salad was served with potato salad on top– is this a Florida thing? I have had many a greek salad in my 24 years and that was the fist time one incorporated potatoes. The restaurant’s menu features a burger-eating challenge; no one in my party was quite hungry enough to tackle a huge burger and fries, but I was half hoping someone else at LuLus would while I was there!

Ate a garden salad topped with grilled grouper. Delicious. Hubby had the grilled grouper sandwich. It was puny and overcooked. We waited 20 minutes for our table. Staff did very well for how slammed they were. Live music. Not great. Super beach view. Loud.

What a great upgrade from the former occupant of the property-PJ’s! We went on Wednesday for the $ 5 oysters by the dozen on the half shell and ordered the early bird catfish basket and shrimp basket, too. We also had the Killa Shrimp Chowda and the Red Group Soup. Everything was very good. The seafood was good properly and not overdone. The shrimp were tender and tasty. The chowder and soup were delicious. Good service, too, and reasonable prices. This is one of the better options for beach restaurants. Like the Terminator, I’ll be back.

In my efforts to be more honest with myself in my star-giving, it seems I have been on a 3 star trend for quite a while, making me think that I might need to be even more honest and start dishing out 2 stars. Then again, 3 stars is in the middle — where the majority should be falling — so maybe I am spot on these days. Either way, Lulu’s doesn’t deserve a 4th star and 2 stars would be way too harsh on a decent place to eat. The first thing you need to know is we arrived at 6:30, maybe a little before. The second thing you need to know is we left at 8:30. There were 2 of us. We didn’t order a lot. The service was that slow. We got sat right away and were brought our water. From there, we waited almost 15 minutes to order dinner. Our server even went to the table next to us(this was after we were sitting for at least 10 minutes) to clear their table, take their dessert order, and bring them their dessert, before taking our order. Not sure why he didn’t take our order, then do all of that. Melissa got an appetizer and ordered oysters and a salad. I ordered their Fiesta, which is a ½ pound of shrimp, ½ pound of snow crab, ½ pound of mussels, and some clams which I substituted out for more snow crab. Comes with 2 sides. The next thing you need to know was that after 5 – 10 minutes, the server comes back to say they were out of lettuce for the salad. Out. Of Lettuce. That should mean that no sandwich or burger could get lettuce and no other salad could be made. Again. Out of lettuce. LETTUCE! The worst part of this is that not 5 minutes later, a salad came out to another table. But okay, maybe their order went in first. However, while we were eating, we saw at least 3 other salads/dishes come out with lettuce. None of this makes sense. Obviously, its a stupid lie, but why tell us you don’t have lettuce when clearly, there is lettuce? Anyway, Melissa liked her oysters and she got a side of steamed veggies instead of the salad. Note on the steamed veggies — according to our server, they have always been broccoli — Nothing else, just broccoli. So why does the menu say steamed veggies instead of steamed broccoli? This is about as stupid as the«no lettuce» story. My food was good. I liked it — shrimp had a good spice, snow crabs were good. Points off on the mussels though — they were very dry; no sauce or anything and I can only assume i was expected to dip them in butter to add some moisture and flavor. To the server’s credit, he not only gave Melissa the broccoli free of charge, but also gave her a slice of key lime pie. However, to his discredit, our drinks went unfilled for long periods of time and he just seemed to constantly forget about us. The long meal wasn’t entirely his fault — I did get a lot of food and with the crab shells, it took time to eat — but I would venture an extra 30 – 45 minutes were added on for extremely slow service. It was one of those situations where the service was bad enough to take multiple stars away on service alone, but in the end, he did comp her dessert and a side, so he tried to make it right. Really, the food doesn’t deserve more than 3 stars. If not for the service, I might have been willing to go 3.5(if I had a half star to use) but without the ½ star and with really shoddy service, Lulu’s only gets 3.

YOUHAVETOTRYTHISPLACE!!! Before going to the beach, had to try it as the reviews were very good. The place is… well…cute is best I can describe it. From the pink flamingos to the paper rolls hanging from the ceiling above each table(never seen that before but very clever!!). My wife wasn’t very hungry so went for fried green tomatoes, while I decided for… what else… Grouper Sandwich based on waitress recommendations(if you’ve read some of my other reviews, you know how obsessed I am with Grouper). Thanks yo Unilocal, also had a coupon for a free fish spread, which sounded weird but can’t go wrong with free. So let’s start with the spread. They brought it surrounded with those packaged salt crackers. That could have been better. Maybe small thin toasted bread would have been better. With that said, Angels started singing upon my first bite. Aaaaaahhhhhhhh. HOLYCRAP, THISWILLMAKEYOUWANTTOSLAPYOURMOMMA!!! So freaking good!!! Can’t comment of fried green tomatoes as I am not a fan, but my wife said they were amazing. Breaking was light and cooked perfectly. Now for the Grouper. As you know, I’ve eaten it at many places, and this was the best I’ve ever tasted! Definitely fresh, grilled and seasoned to perfection. WOW! Amazing! Service was great. Apparently we were there on the 1 year anniversary of this restaurant, and if they keep cooking like this, they will be here for decades to come, I hope!!!

The only way that Lulu’s Oyster Bar could possibly get any better was if it had a view of the beach! My husband and I stopped by Lulu’s on our way home from the beach. We didn’t realize when we were searching for a spot to grab oysters that this is the former spot that PJs Oyster Bar use to be located at. I can’t recall the Happy Hour cocktail that we had, but it was cheap, went down way too easy, and came with a cute flamingo souvenir cup. There was also a nice selection of craft beers on the drink menu. We started off our meal with complimentary smoked fish spread courtesy of checking-in with the Unilocal app. The spread was great, especially served with the pickled jalapenos suggested by our waitress. Next we had the Oysters Rockefeller. Whoa, amazing!!! The bacon and hollandaise sauce on the oysters was outstanding. For our entrees my husband ordered the ahi tuna and I ordered the shrimp Po Boy with fries. The waitress mentioned that the tuna had never looked so pretty which would make me hesitate to order this dish again. Does the ahi tuna normally look bad? The shrimp Po Boy was amazing. I couldn’t finish my sandwich because I could not stop eating my fries. Normally I eat a fry or two and then ignore them, but these fries were life changing. Perfectly cooked and covered in a zesty seasoning… these fries may be some of the best fries I have ever had! I could not have been more pleasantly surprised at how good the food was at Lulu’s. This is definitely our new lunch spot when we visit Indian Rocks Beach!

Dirty Birds are yummy, not dirty! How could you talk about Lu lu’s specialty drink like that? This drink has coconut rum, pineapple juice, Sprite, & grenadine. If that’s too froo froo flamingo for you, how about one of their craft beers? Lu lu’s is an oyster bar, so yes you will find oysters, not only that, they have seafood, crab legs, fish, & lobster tail here. For the meat eaters, there are chicken wings, a few chicken dishes, steak, just to name a few. I ordered the Sunday All You Can Eat Crab Legs for $ 22.99. I probably should have just got the pound of crab legs for $ 16, but I didn’t see that one. I was full, so I definitely didn’t get my money’s worth, but it was so good. My hubby got grilled chicken with mango salsa. It was not on the menu, but there was a special for tilapia with bbq sauce & mango salsa, so we asked to change it to chicken. There is also a Unilocal check in for a free Smoked Fish Spread served with saltine crackers. I never had it before, but it was so good, as well as the fries & hush puppies that they served with our food. Our server was awesome. She knew everything about the menu. I asked her about the different oysters as well. Didn’t know there were so many. This place is pretty in pink with flamingoes. First thing you will notice is the hanger with paper towel over your head. Quite different & eccentric so I did love it. It also wasn’t as loud & crowded like it’s neighboring restaurant across the street.
