Delicious breakfast sandwich«sandy’s mcmuffin» and a huge bowl of grits! And the friendly service was such a delight. Thank you!

I did like the service but the food I did not enjoy. I had a two eggs/two meat/two cakes plate. The meat was ham and it did not taste good, the pancakes were hard both I could not finish. I did not like the cofee either. My husband ordered sausage egg benedict and he enjoyed it. My son ordered a chicken salad wrap that did he did ate.

I had biscuits & gravy it was the best that you could make. But that’s not the only thing that is good. French toast is always good. The sandwiches are pretty good. If it is your first time there I would probably get a egg bacon & cheese sandwich.

This place is absolutely the worst, no stars should be an option. Seated at the front table and sat for 10 minutes before walking out. Every server, who by the way looked like they were on meth, walked by multiple times and did not even acknowledge we were there. They even bussed the two tables next to us and still nothing. Avoid Sandy’s at all costs.

Very deceiving from the outside! I had breakfast and my fella had the double burger… both were fantastic! The burger was so flavorful and cooked perfectly. Prices are great and so was the service.

We were not happy with the food, but felt the service was great. Prices were okay and the order came out fast. I had a half order of biscuits n gravy(you can order though not on the menu). The best thing and the only thing positive I can say is that the biscuit was very soft. This is not and I do repeat NOT southern cooking. I also ordered a side of home fries. Sadly they came out burnt, black on the end where they had left the skin. I tried cutting that part off and eating the potatoes but by my second bite I could any more of this food. My companion had what equates to Egg McMuffin with ham for $ 4.50. Pricey Mcmuffin that had more bread than protein. But he felt he got what he ordered for where he was at. I disagree. I will try to go again because of the cheerful staff who were alert attentive and pleasant. But it will be sometime.

We only ate here for breakfast(twice). Food was great, prices reasonable, and the service quick and friendly. What more could you ask for! We’ll be back.

This place is okay… the food was good, the service was disjointed and disorganized… never got a second cup of coffee even though this place is tiny and the waitress walked past three times(I waved but my mouth was full so I couldn’t call out)…dirty plates are just sitting here as I type this and I haven’t been given the bill though we are long past finished… the food was good… the rest is meh…

Exactly what I was looking for! The country fried steak and biscuits and sausage gravy were on point! Diner feel all the way. Very nice staff. We will for sure be back!

The service was good and they were very sincere, however, the food was disappointing. When I cut into my omelet I thought it might be under cooked because it looked runny, but it was actually butter… a lot. The hash browns… heavily buttered. And my toast… yep a lot of butter. I overhead the waitress explain to another patron that the difference between them and another local spot was that they actually used real butter. If you are a fine butter connoisseur you will be in heaven here.

Nope. It seems that butter, and lots of it, is the main ingredient. I like butter but not when it over powers the omelette, hash browns too. We also ordered a Gyro. Save yourself some money and go buy the gyro kit at Publix because that is what you are getting. It was also over cooked and the Tzatziki sauce was bland and disappointing. I hate a bad breakfast/lunch– or brunch if you must– especially after first night of vacation festivities.

Ok, after reading some of the more negative reviews I needed to bump my review up from a 3 to a 4, because Sandy’s isn’t claiming to be what it’s not. It’s a diner. It’s a dinky little shack with cheap food, plastic coffee mugs and vinyl booths. That being said… it’s exactly what we were looking for! My sisters and I were hungover(very, very hungover), and were looking for some hot coffee and greasy eggs. We pulled into Sandy’s and were greeted by a 6’8 waiter with a friendly smile who I can safely say was the nicest guy I’ve ever been served by. The coffee was coffee. The eggs were eggs. The toast was toast. The bacon was bacon… shall I continue or do you get where I’m going with this? They don’t have lump crab Benedict and caviar crepes on the menu, because it’s not the freakin’ Ritz. Come here for a simple, cheap, tasty breakfast(served all day!) and friendly service while sitting in a bright and welcoming place. Oh, and pets are welcome at the outside tables!

I liked everything about Sandy’s. It’s not a chain. It feels like your welcome. Good breakfast. Loved it

Every now and then you encounter a restaurant or place of business that is so bad it reminds you of what it means for others to be good. That is so awful you cannot wait to tell people just how yucky it is. Sandy’s fills that bill. Let me begin by saying that our waitress was very nice and professional. So much so that by the end of our meal we felt sorry for her having to work here. I cannot imagine the regulars tip well and if our experience was any indication, there is probably not much return business. My dining companion and I were there for lunch on a weekday. Two other couples were on the patio and no one was inside. We ordered drinks and when our straight-from-a-can ice tea came out, our waitress apologized for the drinks being warm because they were out of ice. Out of ice? How is that possible for a restaurant to be out of something as basic as ice?!?(just up the street is a bar/package store with an ice machine … go figure). The water we asked for was also warm and straight from the tap. They were also out of lemons. As for the food … I purposely avoided the burger options because I just knew they would be prepackaged frozen patties swimming in grease. So I went with the more diner friendly option of an omelette. In a place like this, how can anyone screw up an omelette. Well … I can honestly state that this was the worst omelette I have every had in my life! I know fake eggs when I taste them and the frezer-burned veggies were obviously out of a plastic bag along with a cut up slice of ham right out of a lunchables package. The toast came without butter and unlike every other diner I have ever visited, there were no packets of jelly on any of the tables. My friend took a risk and tried the in-house ham sandwich. I wish I had taken a picture because anyone I have told has not believed me when I describe it. The sandwich was toasted white bread with slices of pre-packaged ham rolled into tubes laid out side-by-side with some light mayo holding it together. Poor quality pickles and stale potato chips sat on the side. My kids have created more interesting and tastier culinary treats in daycare. I know that the cost of eating at restaurants has risen greatly in recent years, but what this food cost and what we got for our money were completely out of line. Menus for this place are available on-line, but ignore them because every price was crossed out and higher ones written in by hand. Especially sad is that the interior was clean and well maintained(including the bathrooms). You can tell that at one time this was a nice and well run restaurant. Just be glad there are plenty of other options along Gulf blvd.

This place used to be good… I am kind of disappointed now. Coffee was burnt. Blueberry pancakes were chewy and blueberries tasted frozen… Eggs Benedict was OK, but hash browns tasted fake… Service was friendly and prompt. Outdoor seating available. Two People… Breakfast was $ 30. They really need to get on their game if they want to compete with the French Bakery next door…

My wife and family was introduced to Sandy’s by family who have visited this place for breakfast before. They said it was good food so they wanted to go again. Needless to say, i was not impressed when i did get my food. I ordered their pancakes with a side of bacon and hashbrowns, all for the price of about $ 11. When i got my food i realized that my $ 11 must have bought me some amazing food for how small the portions were. The pancakes… I did not realize that you can make a pancake that thin and chewy. Hashbrowns, what hashbrowns. The portion was so small that it felt like i was eating a waffle potato chip. At least the bacon was good, but then again how can you screw up bacon. My suggestion, visit the French bakery next door. Their food looked amazing.

I like Sandy’s for breakfast. They serve all the standard fare you would expect. I have eaten here for many years and always had good food and service. I liked it enough to go weekly when I lived here, and I still drop in when visiting.

Good breakfast off the beaten path so you’re not surrounded by crowds. Coffee was standard and everything we ordered by cooked properly. Was told that their Eggs Benedict is what they were known for but it wasn’t anything special. I’m not trying to be a downer, we did enjoy our breakfast and it really hit the spot. I just LOVE breakfast so I’m always looking for a hidden gem. While it was good and spot on, it wasn’t great. I’d try another place next time.
