This place is not closed! It reopened on the northeast corner of 71st and Michigan Rd. Accidental discovery today. Saw a big-assed smoker and a food trailer(not a truck) and changed my lunch plans immediately. Oh, man, did that work in my favor. I got rib the small rib tip dinner — $ 10 — with mean greens and jambalaya. I couldn’t eat half of it so I have lunch tomorrow, too. :) The guy in the trailer cooked what I ordered while I was waiting and what he gave me was amazing. I ordered the spicy sauce and he delivered. The tips were covered in a delicious barbecue sauce with red pepper flakes in it. These are good tips. The mean greens are out of this flippin’ world! I’m not sure what he uses but it tastes like some kind of bacon/maple syrup reduction in the greens. They’re worth the trip on their own. What really knocked me out, though, was the jambalaya. When you get jambalaya as a side in a $ 10 entrée, you think you’re going to get some anemic flavored rice thing with some tomatoes thrown in and maybe a little smoked sausage. Oh, hell no. I got this delightfully creamy, epic dish on its own with bell peppers, andouille, shrimp(!!), tomatoes and pulled chicken. Remember, this is just a side dish and it isn’t even on the menu! On Sundays, all of their dinners are $ 8. How they turn a profit is anyone’s guess. I can’t imagine what the large dinner($ 15) looks like. And they have tons of other options so I will most definitely go back, with coworkers. This place is off the chain.

So far everything I’ve had has been delicious. The rib tips are extra tender and the Basa fish is amazing. All of their sauces are made to order and the customer service is always on point. I will say though, my best experiences were at the Keystone location which is no longer open.

Initially a great place. Now service is slower, customer service is average, food more rushed at the expense of taste. Too inconsistent and prices have gone up while service has gone down.

I am a Barbeque snob. I was born in Kansas City, and have chef’s throughout my family. Enough about me. This is not KC Barbeque, but in the City of Indianapolis, Andre’s is easily in the top three if not the best all around barbeque in the City(Squealers and Hanks Brisket are my other top picks). If I was to recommend anything it would be their pulled pork(best in Indy and flavored like no other) There sides are pretty amazing, and The ribs are really good(I prefer the tips, but I like to take my time.) If you want to try something unique and delicious be sure to get the Burnt End French Fries. The large is a meal in itself, and will have you«fired’ up for the next few hours… no need to sit around a campfire.

We have been eyeing this place for like a year. We live south of town and happened to be going up 465 and thought lets go finally! I wouldn’t call it traditional bar b que, more of a Caribbean sweet sauce on some traditional smoked meat. It was darn good though. The rib tip fries were off the hook! If they sold this from a good truck downtown I would go once a week! It was sweet, savory, slightly smokey. We agreed that next time we need to get some cheese on it! Also had a brisket sandwich, very messy, but grab a fork and be prepared to use it! So far this is my favorite place to grab barbecue, but its sweet! So if you are not a fan of tropical like sauces, this place may be your forte.

One night when hungry for BBQ, I saw Unilocal reviews, pulled up this place on virtual Google map and saw that there was no indoor seating. I had to do a double take when I saw these tall buildings encircling a tiny trailer in a parking lot(but no judgment here!) We opted for something else that night for our dining experience. Yesterday on this lazy Sunday while trying to put our house back together after getting carpet installed, we decided on carry-out. So I pulled Andres back up and took a look. Well needless to say BBQ is Hubsters fav’ so a 15 min drive didn’t bring any hesitation from him! Like always, we order too much the 1st time because we just want to get the feel and taste of what the new place has to offer. BBQ platter w/½lb Brisket, ½lb pulled pork &3 bone ribs is ‘nothing’ to wink at. All were moist, well seasoned, not too salty, and enough for 2 or leftovers. It comes with 2 sides which for us was fried corn(great) & beans & rice(good, but a little too heavy for our taste) The platter is A Must to try! 6piece jumbo shrimp, very good but since I do shrimp at home a lot, I thought it was a little pricey and will probably stick with the heartier meats. 4piece fried biscuits w/apple butter — Wow, what’s not to like about fried biscuits when you’re really hungry. If it would have been 5, I definitely would have arm wrestled for the 5th one. –Should have ordered the 10piece! For a stay in your socks and sweat pants kinda place, You gotts to try this place! Thanks Andre!, and luv that name!

It’s about the food, not the fact that it is as close to mobile as can be given the little tent and plastic outdoor tables, wood smoker 30′ away in the parking lot. Cooked to order, I had a sampler of fish, shrimp, rib tips, and wings. Comes with two sides, plenty big enough portions to share. Wings are meaty, not the usual breadcrumb mix… I would bet there is cornmeal in the mix, but not too much. The shrimp are also a nice size, butterflied, tail on, same nice crusty shell that was not greasy, just a touch of hot sauce. Ribs are exceptionally good… nicely smoked that penetrates flavorful and deep. That’s not easy to do right. Fish, meh. Wouldn’t do that as a meal. Skin still on, strong fishy flavor — lake perch? Don’t shy away because I’m not a fan, if you like your fish more … pungent… then you might like it more than I do. This time of year; it’s take-out, don’t go there expecting to eat indoors. No wet naps, no bathroom, no frills. The food is good, hot, and the folks are friendly. You can sample the sides before ordering. Next time, I’ll get the ribs. And the greens. Or chicken and red beans/rice. Shrimp is very good. I would avoid the fishy fish.

I could smell the BBQ as I went down Pendleton Pike. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with greens and potato salad as my sides. The pork was tender and delicious. The sauce was spicy and very hot, a real kick of flavor. The greens were also spicy thus it was too much heat for my taste. The potato salad wasn’t a big deal. The meal was $ 8.00 and not a bad value. The next time I will get the mild sauce and skip the sides altogether. Be prepared to wait, it was a one man operation the day I visited.
