Primarily this is a butcher shop/grocery store for Mexican products. Great values and fresh produce. The jewel of this establishment is the taco shop that is attached. The food is amazing and super authentic. It is better than anything I’ve found anywhere throughout my travels. You can find the usual burritos and Asad tacos of great quality to please any palate. If Pozole or Menudo(weekends only) is more to your liking, then this is the place to go. Get there early if you want Menudo. They make one big pot and when it’s gone it’s gone. This place is totally worth a visit.

Very good cafeteria style restaurant, had tacos al pastor and tamales. Everything was delicious generous and fresh. The girls were friendly and very charming, it felt like being home in Latin America, wonderful experience. The restaurant is inside a large Mexican meat and grocery store. They have just about everything. We will return.

They have the best authentic carne asada tacos. I would recommend this to people who don’t even like tacos. The tacos are to die for.

Decided to come in and give it a whirl. I’m so glad I did! The chicken tacos were so fresh, smothered with onion and cilantro! Yum! I also ordered a small queso and chips. It’s very filling. I’ll be back!

Boom!!! Driving cross country and felt that Taco Monster beating my insides up. Hit up Unilocal, read the reviews, had to try it for myself! Fresh, authentic, tasty tacos were here to be had. Very delicious and satisfying portions. Shredded pork and cheese was freshly prepared and my only regret was only ordering Tres Tacos! The madness I tell you. The tacos were some of the best I’ve ever had. This is a supermarket with a little restaurant inside. A must try for anyone who likes authentic Mexican food!!! I will be stopping back by on my way home in a few weeks!

This place is big. They have about anything you could ever need in the way of Mexican groceries. Plus lots of stuff you didn’t know you needed. Or if you prefer you can buy the food already prepared from the small restaurant inside. We go here specifically because they sell very thin sliced chicken as well as an enormous variety of other meats. And the butchers are very friendly. They also sell bottled pop which I love. Squirt in particular. They also have a bakery with some delicious looking cakes. The produce section is large and well stocked. We have never eaten at the restaurant but it always smells amazing and is always full of people. Judging by the other reviews I may try it next time we swing in. This is our new favorite Mexican store. Give it a try, just don’t go near dinner time if you’re in a hurry. And don’t miss out on the bottled pop!

Not bad, not great. The tamale is sub-par. The tacos were good, but one piece of steak has a tough tendon in it, it sort of ruined the taco. Overall it is a good place to shop for Mexican grocery, and the people are pretty friendly. I would go back.

The little food court in the grocery store makes some of the most affordable yet heavenly food. So many choices in such a small place too! I’m not even the biggest fan of Mexican food but the food here is simply irresistible. The tacos are a must every time I go!

I’ve taken two people here(Sam and Andrew) and they have loved this spot. It’s like a mecca for Mexican food and ware on the southside of Indy. I love it! I walked in and immediately spotted the amazing produce selection. Corn husks, sugar cane, endless plantains… count me in. A huge butcher and deli that serve pretty much everything pork, beef and chicken PLUS any kind of Mexican cheese one could ever dream up… yes please. I’ll take this and that and oh wait you have a fresh bakery? YES! A bakery that serves up everything from the usuals-churros and such to cupcakes, cookies, donuts, and sheet cakes for that fiesta. The restaurant is good, not amazing, but I’m here to shop folks. The prices are fantastic and this has some great looking produce. I do wish they carried the el milagro tortilla chips-they’re Andrew D,‘s and my favorite!!! That’s ok. I can handle it but maybe eventually they can get them. Other than that, I have really enjoyed this spot and the workers are friendly and they have so much to offer! Woo hoo!!!

I would say the shopping is the best I’ve found at a Mexican grocery store in town. It’s well lit, nicely organized and spacious. They always have ripe avocados, which is a must because when I want guacamole I want it now. The reason they aren’t getting that fifth star from me is two-fold. First their taqueria is ok, but not great. I’ll eat it when I’m there shopping, but won’t make a special trip for the tacos. Second they don’t have the el milagro tortilla chips. I need the extra crujiente! Overall the quality of the shopping outweighs it all, so this is now my go to Mexican grocery store.

Hello delicious heaven! My fellow ginger in crime and I recently stopped in here for a lunch-time feast after working out. Um can you say foodie Nirvana??? The food was classically delicious for an exceptional price. I chose the carnitas, she chose the tacos, and we split a tamale… basically we ordered enough food to feed 8 people! The meat on the carnitas was deliciously tender, juicy, and with a lovely smoky flavor. Top that off with a batch of freshly made and warm tortillas and you have yourself a real treat! What I loved about this place, besides the wonderful food, was the vast and inexpensive market. The isles were simply brimming with an array of beautiful products(most of which you cannot find at your local marsh or Kroger) all for an extremely affordable price. I mean where else can you find 6 limes for $ 1??? Hollah! I do believe I have found a new oasis in Indy! Check this one out folks!

This is literally in my backyard, and I couldn’t be more excited. I have heard lots of good things about the west side location-especially the«Mexican grill.» They have a small dining area for people to eat. I really just wandered in because I saw it was open when I passed by(opened 4÷4÷14, they told me). They also have a small«snack» area where you can get just filling for tamales, which it looked like they sold by weight. I don’t speak Spanish, but think this is what they were saying. It’s a separately hot table off to the right of the cashiers, heading out. One of the people told me this location is larger than the other one. They also have a butcher counter. Everything was very clean, and someone was mopping the produce area while I was there! Side note: the sign was 601 W Hanna, but this is most definitely East Hanna.
