The food is great, especially fish and chips with garlic cheese fries. However some of the servers(not all) have been extremely rude, in my experience. I understand they get very busy and have limited servers sometimes, but a positive attitude and patience can go a long way.

Yes it is a little crowded, and good luck getting a seat on major game days, but the service is good, quick and the selection is great. There aren’t too many options but just enough and they have a good selection of beer. It was not our choice of the evening but where we ended up and it was a good decision.

What a great spot! I had heard ravings about the garlic cheese chips, and they were indeed divine. The wings were also some of the best I’ve had in Indiana, maybe THE best. A neighboring table got a pizza that was downright beautiful looking, though we didn’t try it(next time). Nice craft beer menu, including seasonals from the nearby St. Joseph’s. Plus English staples like Bass and Guinness, of course. Nice outside seating. If only I liked soccer, I would hang out here all the time! Good prices for food($ 5 – 8 for appetizers), standard Indy prices for beer(i.e., fairly high: $ 5 – 7). Good mix of people from all over the globe(Africans, Europeans, South Americans, basically any soccer lovers).

This place is great — it has a fun sporty, relaxed atmosphere with a variety of food and drink options. The signature sauce on the wings is excellent(A+) and has just a tiny bit of a kick to it. Our service is consistently fantastic(friendly & quick) and there are a number of televisions in the facility for watching sports, etc. It seems like an excellent place to come and watch futbol(and they have some good breakfast offerings on ‘Soccer Saturdays & Sundays’). They post information on that and on their upcoming beer tappings on their website. Metered parking available on Mass. Ave. and there are a number of streets in the area with open parking. You can enter off Mass. Ave. or from another door off of the bike trail behind the pub.

Mannn, love Chatham Tap. I don’t give a damn about sports, but the food is so good here and I love a good pub. Approach it with patience in the summer: it gets packed as hell and the patio can be hit or miss(will someone come out to check on us or not?) That sort of thing doesn’t bother me though… plus everyone is super cool here. Pretty sure that’s simply a result of a small facility getting slammed! No worries. Shit happens. As long as I get food eventually, I’m a happy lady. The Smoked Gouda Apple Melt and Salmon Sandwich are some of my favorite things here. There’s a good balance of healthy options and classic fried bar staples, as well as a good beer selection. I enjoy how laid back the environment is, and I love coming here with a group of friends.

Always has been one of my favorite places on Mass Ave. Good food and great service. The complaint I have was from my most recent visit. Again, great service but when was the last time this place had a deep cleaning?! Everything from the chairs to the glasses and salt/pepper shakers were filthy!

Stopped in with a friend and had drinks. It’s a pub, not much more I can say. it was loud… really loud. It was a saturday night and crowded. Our server was nice, but not too friendly. She brought our drinks timely and checked on us. My friend orders the same thing every time… the wings. She loves them. Since I had never been before, I didnt know what to expect. I ordered a salad and fried mushroom sticks!!! The mushrooms were really good. The sauce that came with it was a little spicy, and really good. My salad on the other hand was my own fault. Who orders salad at a pub. This chick right here. The balsamic dressing tasted like straight vinegar… ruined the entire salad. The salad probably would have been good with a different dressing. Oh well! Lesson learned for when I return.

This is one of my absolute favorite bars in any city in the country. A proper soccer bar… if there is a soccer game on you can bet that Chatham is open AND that there are some fans there watching the game. You really can’t beat that. This fact and the beers they have on tap, alone is worthy of making it a 5-star pub. But there’s more. The food is excellent. I’ve eaten most of the menu at this point so it’s hard to pick favorites but you can’t go wrong with the wings; the fish and chips; the reuben; breadsticks if its late night and you’ve many drinks in; the pizzas are also a great choice(especially the Robert Browning). If you’re in the area and looking for a pub, this is your place.

Dean’s Angel Wings with the house sauce are THEREASON for going to Chatham Tap! They are one of the best plate of wings in the city. Aside from that, I always love Mass Ave, and Chatham provides a cozy pub in which to hunker down for a professional football(that’s soccer) game and throw back some brews. A few of my friends really like the pizza. I’m just ok on it, so I’m going to suggest you try it, and then write your own Unilocal review agreeing with my astute assessment or conversely telling me why I should like the pizza. Most of the time, the service has been great. All in all, Chatham is a solid choice.

This place makes the best wings in Indianapolis, hands down. Amazing wings that make this place worth going back to over and over. I also love the atmosphere of the place, even if it is a little cramped. The beer list is always great as well. The only disappointment? The fish and chips. A place like this absolutely needs to nail this dish, and it falls totally flat. A bunch of tiny pieces of fish instead of large and flaky filets and they are overbreaded. Maybe some of the worst fish and chips I’ve ever had.

2 words: Angel Wings. Don’t ask questions, just order them. I don’t know what they put in that wing sauce, but it’s nothing short of magic. Tangy, smoky magic. I dare say these are the best wings in Indy(ranking right up there with Ale Emporium’s version). Also, if you love futbol, these guys do too. They’ll be open at weird early morning hours to cater to the soccer-craving crowd.

Though on its surface Chatham Tap would seem like just another pub, the establishment marries pub style food with all the creative twists of foodie culture. Where else can you enjoy an English style ale with a grilled Gouda and pear sandwich? The pizza(which has an excellent crust), appetizers, and beer selection are all very impressive… and delicious. Pro Tip: check out the back patio on a warm evening.

I’ve been wanting to come here for a while because a) I’m infatuated with British things and miss living in London with all its cozy pubs and b) there are a bunch of delicious-looking vegetarian items on the menu. So I met up with a friend here on Sunday and we had lunch and played some Wizard of Oz Fluxx(a card game) with the dice expansion. By the way, the tables work quite well for card/dice games, in case you’re curious; it’s an important aspect of a pub! I was a bit disappointed by the food, however. I ordered a smoked gouda and apple sandwich because I enjoy both of those elements, and the homemade potato chips. But the sandwich was overcooked and a bit burnt(otherwise I can tell it would’ve been great, because smoked gouda is the best). The chips(crisps, as they’d be called in Britain) were just not good. I still ate a bunch of them, thinking they would get better, but I think they were unseasoned or overcooked or both, because they were a bit bitter, not crispy, and had no positive flavor that I could tell to them. Was I supposed to add table salt? I don’t know, I’ve never had to salt potato chips before, they generally come pre-seasoned, unless they’re concerned about sodium content. Also, the waitress took quite a while to come back and check on us after we got our food. So, meh, but I can see the potential of Chatham Tap, so three stars it is!

A nice little UK style pub and modestly priced for mass ave. The food is classic pub food. Don’t expect to much. The wings are good. I highly recommend the fish and chips but do not, I repeat DONOT, get the Greek chicken sandwich. It sounds good and might be ok if made by another cook but mine was bad. Still a good place to get a drink.

Being a Mass Ave resident, I have to tell any visitors that Chatham Tap is an absolute must. A great sports pub showing all major soccer(aka Euro Football) matches, great food, and a unique and eclectic beer selection — what more could you want? Pro Tip: Get.the.wings.

Went here for dinner after an art opening(9 pm). The place was packed, but we were able to get 3 seats at the bar and the super busy bartender was great. Never missed a beat! While my family enjoyed their juicy/tasty(big) burgers and fries, I went for grilled chicken and chips(homemade), no bun. All of us enjoyed our meals.

My favorite bar food on mass Ave’ THEBESTWINGSINTOWN. Hands down. Get the house sauce. Also the Robert browning pizza and lettuce wraps. I get these three items almost every time! I can’t speak for the north side Chatham– but this is literally one of my top three bars! Great beer selection, and the best place for soccer games!

Stopped in on a Monday around 7pm and the place was pretty full. The bartender was friendly and attentive. The bar seemed well stocked, not a drinker so take that as you will. Now the food… THEFOOD was fantastic! I ordered the Pear Gorgonzola Melt. How they fit all that amazingness on one plate is impressive. The clientele is all ages and backgrounds, which is great. Nutshell: Definitely check this place out for a good sandwich at a good price(~$ 10) and to catch up on the footy games.

This is a soccer, er «football,» bar in downtown Indy. I know this because the walls are covered in British soccer team scarves. The ambience is nice and the bartenders are good. There is a pretty good selection of both British ales(Hobgoblin anyone?) and local beers(Upland, Sun King, etc.). My main purpose in going to the Chatham was to try there Hoosier pork tenderloin sandwich – yes, even a British pub has to have a Hoosier pork tenderloin in Indiana – called here, the«garlic tenderloin.» I didn’t get a strong taste of garlic, and the tenderloin itself was by no means jumbo(just slightly bigger than the bun), but the batter was very crispy and not all all oily. The meat was tender and well seasoned. The only criticism I have is that the fries were battered… but if that’s your thing…
