Cheddar’s is just okay IMO. The staff is okay, the food is okay. The décor says somewhat intimate and fairly nice but the noise level screams a club on a Friday night. I ordered several different appetizers for dinner because to be honest nothing on the menu looked good. The ultimate nachos were decent and plentiful, the chicken tenders were the normal, the chicken quesadilla was decent, I hated the not-very-cooked onion rings, and then I ordered the hot fudge cake sundae for dessert which was okay. Overall it was just okay for me. I will not return. Nothing was exceptionally done well and for the price this place just does not do it for me. If it was the last place on earth or a group of friends wanted to dine here I guess I’d have to go but that would be it.

Every time we have come there is a LONG wait for a table, but a couple times we have been fortunate to arrive right in front of a long line of people. The food is typical casual fare, but better than Chili’s or TGI Fridays in my opinion. The chips and queso are excellent — the chips are fresh and hot. I’ve never orders Mac n Cheese for myself, but every time we go my kids order. Then I remember that I want to order it myself! It’s very creamy and not the radioactive kind. Would recommend if you can get a table in less than 30 mins. Otherwise I personally would go elsewhere, but I also have kids to deal with and wouldn’t want to wait. No kids and over 21? Go enjoy a drink in the bar while you wait!

Epic fail this visit. I entered. After the three people at the podium decided to stop talking and acknowledged my presence I told them there was 1 in my party. She asked if I would like to sit in the lounge. Sure. Why not One other person at a high top that was waiting. I grabbed a high top. 5 minutes later and I can’t count how many times a server walked past my table here’s what we had. The other guy was greeted and given a menu. Another couple was seated. They were greeted and given menus. I did not even get a nod. These places need to let their staff know there are a lot of other places to eat. I’m off to find one now.

My boyfriend and I have been to Cheddars twice since opening. On both occasions the food and service were excellent. The only downfall of the restaurant is the wait time. We live pretty close and drive by a lot. There are always tons of cars in the parking lot, so we haven’t figured out the best/slow day to go yet.

It’s good. I can see how some people might have a problem with the service sometimes Cheddar’s is busy most of the day. I mean if you want stupid for your money Bagger Dave’s is right next store though.

We were a party of 3 and our server was not attentive to us. She greeted us almost immediately but once she took our order she did not stop by our table for almost 20 minutes AFTER our food was delivered by the food runner. My son was out of his drink for over 15 minutes and she walked by our table 5 times and would not look at us. We sat in the bar area in a booth and it was not that busy. There were people seated outside and she seemed to cater to them, She would pass our table on the way out the door to the porch, like I said 5 times. She never asked if our meal was okay. My son ordered a burger and needed ketchup. After 15 minutes I finally got our servers attention and my son asked for the ketchup and extra napkins and a refill. She went over to the computer and waited behind another employee, then entered an order and chatted with another co-worker. She finally walked away and right past our table and did not bring the ketchup that was sitting right next to her left arm at the server station where she had just come from. My husband got up and got the kethcup. She finally came back with my son’s drink but that was all. No ketchup, which he didn;t need now anyway, and no napkins. My husband asked for a refill of tea and finally got it after he was finished with his meal and she finally delivered the ketchup. My son was now thru with his burger. Needless to say, we were very dissappointed. The food was great and we will return for the food but thought this service was way below standard.

We waited forever to try this place. Maybe it was the anticipation that had my hopes so high. I wanted this place to be great. And it wasn’t. It was ok, but not great. The restaurant itself is impressive. The exterior is well maintained, the entry had an enormous aquarium and the center seating area had this enormous fan thing that is pretty neat. The food itself isn’t bad. We had Santa Fe spinach dip. Not really a southwestern taste, but it was a tad spicier that regular spinach dip. And it was good. My wife had a house salad and was impressed. I was less pleased with my chicken tortilla soup. It would have been ok if there wasn’t a piece of tomato in it bigger than my soups spoon. We both had the smoke house burger. It was ok, but the lettuce and tomato on it took away from the Bbq feel. Our designated kid menu tester was pleased with his grilled cheese and fries. The service here is a little off. Let me say both our waitress and the gal who brought our food were very nice. However, we were seated near the wait stand podium. And I can’t imagine how all of the people standing around it the whole time we ate didn’t have anything better to do. They talked loudly amongst themselves most of the time we were there. At one point someone who appeared to be a manager came out and talked to them. They appeared defensive with him, but continued to loiter. Overall this place isn’t bad, but it isn’t great either. Plenty of better casual dining options nearby.

I have been here a few times and every time the food has been delicious! Huge portions, the wait staff is very pleasant. The décor is lovely. The prices are really good as well. I have tried different things each time I have been here. The Blackened salmon is amazing! The ribs are very meaty and awesome! And the atmosphere is very relaxing. There is also patio seating!

SUCH A SHAME! I had some HIGH hopes for this restaurant. Don’t get me wrong, the food was affordable and delicious! What’s the catch? THESERVICE. I am a STICKLER for service. Party of four, we were asked if we were all 21(all, yes) so we were asked to pick a table in the bar area. All fine and dandy, until we were ignored for 10 minutes and 2 other tables were helped before us, although seated after us!(I know, I know. you ask, «Why didn’t you just get up and leave?» Well, we were already there, and with seeing the other people helped, we were hoping we were next, hence letting the 10 minutes go by before someone noticing…) So FINALLY someone noticed, and after that, the service got better and the food wasn’t bad! I got chicken tenders and grilled shrimp, with 2 sides for just $ 10! You just can’t beat that, really. So all and all, damn your service, but I might just come back with a board game to fill the awkward silence. :) Last note: The broccoli side dish is super tasty! Skipped out on the opportunity of even more starch for this – glad I did! :)

I just can’t make myself really enjoy this place. My wife is a big fan, but I always this the food is average at best and just lacks flavor. The service was pretty good and they work hard to get you in, fed and out so they can get the next group in there. We had one of the cookies for desert as we love them at BJ’s… Cheddars come out COVERED in chocolate syrup. After getting to the bottom of you, you know why. They are trying to hide the less than yummy cookie underneath. I’ll be back occasionally to please the wife, but not my first, second or third choice.

I have been to the Cheddars in Fort Wayne, IN and always liked it. I’m so happy there is one closer to me now. Just went there for the first time today and I was not disappointed. The food was good, served quickly and hot and I found nothing to complain about! I will definitely go back and highly recommend it to others!

Food is great, service okay. The management is all from different states. Could care less about the local community, over heard them talking to one another and thought this was extremely unprofessional

While the menu is super affordable, I wish there were some more vegetarian options. I always have to get either the«side platter,» chips and salsa, or spasagna. While all three options are all alright, none are AMAZING, if you know what I mean. It’s an affordable family place that is always packed to the gills, but for the price, it’s worth the wait.

First time Cheddars in Indianapolis, although when we used to live in Ft Wayne I visited a few times and was interested to comparing. The location on County Line Rd is usually busy but on Monday we had no trouble parking or being sat immediately. My kids decided to sit outside(why not, not many warm nights left in the year). Ordered the Onion ring appetizer. For $ 4.50 I was impressed, plenty to go around although the breading was slightly bland. Did not care for the Remoulade or whatever dipping sauce they provide with ranch dressing, it had no flavor. I had a little trouble deciding as I hate eating safe when trying a new restaurant, but I wanted a burger so I opted for the jalapeño burger. Good flavor, good size. No complaints Kids meals were appetizing and total for 4 people was around $ 38.00, very inexpensive. Waitress was courteous, prompt, and took good care of us. I don’t see myself being a regular for the food, but as I walked outside the bar area attracted me so next time I think I leave the kids at home and opt for that area.

This is difficult, the stars are wrong and I will explain. For FOOD– 5STARS For SERVICE– 1STAR. Averaged together. .there you go. First the walk to the table The floor was slick as soap. When we told the server his response was and I Kid you not was What do you want me to do about it! And I said Tell management. Before someone falls, busts their ass, and sues. Whether he relayed to management Is anyone’s guess as a manager never came to the table. The menu says hand BREADED chicken tenders and picture is of BATTERDIPPED chicken. It is apparently BATTER dipped according to the bartender. I ordered the southern GREENBEANS, hat I got were ITALIANBEANS. And it tasted as if someone seasoned them sugar instead of salt. My rib eye was grilled to. Perfection. The baked potato was tiny. The only real bonus was getting told it would be an hour and it was actually less than 30 minutes.

Slow service, even granting them that it was pretty full when I went in. The food was rather bland, and tasted like it had been microwaved to maintain it’s temperature. I was not impressed with Cheddar’s at all.

We went during a crazy busy lunch time. There was about a 15 minute wait until we were seated. The waitress arrived quickly and was quick with our drinks. We ordered the Alfredo pasta with chicken and the shrimp dinner with fries and slaw. Both meals were hot and arrived within about 10 minutes of ordering. The place was packed, so we didn’t see our waitress much(but we didn’t need anything, so it was. No big deal). The garlicky white sauce that came with the shrimp was tasty. My one complaint on the shrimp was that they need to clean it a little better. I had a few pieces that hadn’t been deveined(Ew!). No major complaints. We were out in under an hour, including wait time, and lunch only set us back $ 25.
