Comfort Suites Southport

Comfortable stay and rooms, amazing clerk service and friendly staff. I really enjoyed being snowed in here! The breakfast was as good as any continental hotel breakfast.
Tip: the pool is heAvily chlorinated, I’d shower immediately after swimming or you’ll regret it. And do not open your eyes underwater, you will go blind for days with that amount of chemical :(
Also convenient to a speedway, so late night slushies are a thing;)

The CS Southport was GREAT! This hotel had all the feautures that are important to me… conveniently located right off Interstate, clean, friendly staff, QUIET (I did not hear slamming hotel room doors, ever) granite on long vanity which is located inside the bathroom door with the shower, that also has granite. There was a fan for white noise in the bathroom and the main unit in the room as well. VERY NICE room and extra spacious. Fifteen minutes from Downtown Indpls and two minutes from I465 that takes you around the entire city. I transferred from a hotel across the street that I did not find as accomodating, the CS was generous and had no problem accomodating my well needed 9am check-​in.

I got a good deal on a room when I called. The staff at the front desk are professional generally and friendly. There is free breakfast, and the hotel is just as nice if not nicer than the La Quinta I stayed at in Greenwood. It is also very conveniently located near a lot of restaurants and shops.
BUT
The pool is super tiny and there is no hot tub. When I went in, another guest had been eating and left a lot of food crumbs.
My room– the front light switch doesn’t work. My phone doesn’t work which I care about more: it’s a safety issue. I called last night, and the front desk said they would have someone fix it today but no one came.
Cleaners — my room didn’t get cleaned today. I was gone from 7−10am and saw my room wasn’t cleaned but the cleaners were working on the floor. They were super loud and complaining. I wanted to nap, but they were disruptive and I wanted my room cleaned. So I left. They were still working on the floor, and one of the cleaners actually looked at me. But when I returned at 3ish, my room wasn’t cleaned. I called the front desk, and they guy was all «what do you want me to do?»
Noise: I am on the third floor away from the elevator but I still need ear plugs. Noise from road, parking lot, and thin walls.
The bathtub is SUPER low so it isn’t so great for baths. It’s a good deal, but I don’t know if I would stay here again. Eh, the other bonus is all rooms have decent sized fridge with little freezer and microwave.

This was my second stay at this hotel. The staff is very courteous. The hotel is clean and for the most part, quiet. I am giving it three stars because they really need to replace the frayed and hole-​y linens!

Melissa at the front desk hooked us up with some promotions and AAA savings. This place is newly built and looks great. I was very happy with the service and breakfast. There are USB chargers built into the wall and charging sockets in the lamps next to the bed. Free wireless throughout. They have their act together. The pool was a bit small, but heated and good for a dip.
