Best place in Indy! Get Meatloaf and finish with bread pudding. You won’t be disappointed!

Pretty good, ate here twice while in INDY for the race. The omelet with cheese was little lane, two pieces of cheese slices tossed on top, is that crap even cheese? Other then that, food was good. Place was clean, wait staff friendly and on top of service. Try using shredded cheese and mix it into the omelet

I’ve been going there a long time, my grandson loves this place. The breakfast buffet on weekends is fantastic. He tore it up. I’ve always had great service and food. Give it a try you will agree with me

Seated immediately. Very friendly service. Sadly the positive feedback ends here. The food was just not great. Very wet eggs. An egg white omelet that wasn’t an omelet by any definition. Soggy hash browns. Beyond overlooked home fries with raw bell peppers and onions. Raw Granny Smith apple pancake. And a 45 minute wait for the food to be served.

My son and I ate there on Sunday, May 15 around 2:30 pm. I wanted to make sure I had a good meal as I had not already eaten that day. Please don’t let the initial appearance deter you from eating there! Doesn’t look like it would be good from the atmosphere, but the food was excellent. I had the catfish dinner with baked potato and salad. There were homemade croutons –yum. The catfish was cooked to perfection, and our waitress told us they hand filet them themselves. My son had a wrap – the fried chicken, bacon, cheese with honey mustard. He let me try a bite of his – also very yummy! And the girl at the front desk was so so helpful and accommodating and went above and beyond. The waitress also explained to me that their tenderloins were also hand cut and pounded — I will be back to try that and other items too. What a gem of a restaurant.

Talk about a hole in the wall! In the spirit of trying new things I stumbled across this little gem on the south side of Indy. The area, in my opinion, is going through some change with the loss of Marsh — but the gain of Kroger Marketplace. We walked in around 4:30pm to find the place empty. I chalked that up as it was between lunch and dinner on a workday. We were seated immediately and our server came over to take our drink order. We started with the potato skins, and when they came out were very surprised. I feel that most places use these little tiny strips of potato — but not here. Nope, they actually make each slice ½ of a large potato. After eating 2 of them I felt that I could have 1 more and be done eating for the day! I am always a fan of a burger and here is no exception. The burger came out great. Cooked right, seasoned right, just all right. The only negative that I could say is that I asked for onion rings and got fries. It wasn’t that huge of a deal until the end when she charged me for them. I never told her that it was wrong because it wasn’t that big of a deal, and she took the charge off our bill when I pointed it out. The place is large and has a lot of seating. Only 1 person came in while we were there. The bathroom was well maintained and stocked. The service wasn’t bad. It wasn’t amazing, but not bad. A good balance.

They have killer breakfast! My Dad’s side of the family goes to this restaurant once a month on a Saturday for breakfast and to catch up. Pancakes are amazing — and my husband and Mom love their chicken fried steak breakfast. Friendly service and fair prices with huge portions– you can’t hardly find that anymore.

Delivery service was great. The sirloin tips were awesome. I will definitely eat from Dales Family Restaurant the next time I’m in town!

Sitting at Dale’s now and I have to echo the disappointment. Eggs are wet and seem to be powdered eggs. The pancakes were obviously of the frozen variety. Sausage gravy had acceptable amounts of sausage in it, it was pretty flavorless. All in all I would say that it’s not worth the price of $ 9.99. If you’re going to get the buffet, make sure you can eat $ 9.99 worth of bacon. It was the best thing on the buffet.

I am usually pretty easy to please when it comes to food. I cannot vouch for the dine in services but their delivery was horrible. We are 1.9 miles away from the restaurant with a very simple order of salad/half sandwich(BLT) and quesadilla. It took over an hour to get our food delivered and it was freezing cold. The quesadilla was hard. All the condiments we requested such as sour cream with quesadilla and mayo on the sandwich were forgotten. The delivery person doesn’t give change apparently because she walked out without giving my co-worker her full amount of change back. That was money on top of the tip we gave her and the delivery charge. Totally NOT worth the money. Small portions on food as well.

I took us nearly 45 minutes to get our food, and they weren’t that busy. I think it was actually the servers fault, since about 5 minutes before bringing our food she came out to clarify the order. She had entered it wrong and the cooks caught it. That tells me she forgot to enter it. Drinks sat empty until she finally returned to drop off the bill and I asked her for a refill. We walked in at 11:00AM and walked out at 12:20! On our way out we heard others commenting on how slow the servers are. Reading the comments below, it seems to be a recurring theme. The food is okay, typical breakfast fair, less greasy than a Denny’s. Nothing really wowed me. I doubt I’ll eat here again.

The food has always been good. Love the BLT. The potato skins were very good too. It’s very roomy and great for large parties.

When we walked in there were about 8 people waiting to be seated. When I looked past the hostess stand there were 4 open tables from what I could see, maybe more that I couldn’t see. We continued to wait and wait and wait. And those empty tables continued to sit empty. Nothing is more frustrating as a customer waiting to have breakfast than to stand there and stare at open tables while the waiting area continues to fill up. It doesn’t make any sense. Sitting with coffee and water waiting on a waitress is better than standing in a waiting room staring at empty tables. The place was very busy and so we waited a while to have our order taken as well. The one positive was that the chocolate chip pancakes were very good.

This place has an awesome breakfast, only second to Flap Jacks. The service here is always great. I’ve never had an issue with service. The food I’ve had at dinner was good, but not great. I will go back here to eat breakfast for sure, but probably not for dinner.

First, the good. The eggs prepared perfectly for our party of three. Good grits, too. The bad. Touted pancakes were huge, but doughy. Lukewarm coffee. Fruit cup from a can. The ugly. Dated décor. Smelly bathrooms. Spotty service. Stay away.

Went around 4 pm on Sunday. Nobody there. Service was top notch. Ordered stuffed burger and spouse had strip steak. First. I never order burgers at a restaurant but this is was an exception. I was impressed. It was delicious Now on to the highlight. My spouse ordered the chicken and dumplings as a side. These are by far some of the best of have ever tried in my twenty years or driving a truck. Absolutely outstanding. When I come back and I will. I’ll have nothing but chicken and dumplings. The end. Unilocal also had a free appetizer and the potato skins were good too.

Stopped here on a Friday morning around 8:00 while waiting on an appointment. The hostess was really friendly. The atmosphere is casual but clean. The food was okay. The biscuits and gravy tasted like they had been made with too much vegetable oil or canola oil. The pancakes were okay, and the fries were okay. I will stop here again and try the lunch.

Had breakfast this time. Build your omelette. I had ham, cheddar cheese, onions and mushrooms. Very good. Nice size chunks of ham, mushrooms were nice and big, as well! Hash browns are good, about like what you’d expect for hash browns. Always so much food. Service was great as usual. Waitress is very pleasant and attentive.
