I needed 2 trees removed, a trim and deep root feeding on my River Birch. A landscaper recommended another company and I waited 5 weeks (3 phone calls) to get an email of the quote for $ 940 that didn’t include the removal of the 2 trees, but did include a lengthy contract with all kinds of disclosures. Called another company and said they were 6 weeks out from even looking at my trees. When you have a tree that needs nutrients, you don’t want to wait 3 months to get it fed!
A guy at a breakfast place I visit recommended Davey. So glad he did because they came and inspected my trees (an actual arborist) within 3 days. Guy appeared to know his stuff and know what the market bears on pricing. They did everything for less than $ 700 within a week and billed me.
It’s nice to have a car show up that is actually branded with a company logo in front of your house so you know why its there. Everyone that came and worked on our yard was nice, knowledgeable and had ALL of their teeth. They all made eye contact, introduced themselves and shook hands with me like real people. They seemed to actually like their job unlike the 3 other places I called.
You can barely tell where they pulled my trees out, trees weren’t over trimmed and they were happy to talk it over with me before and after to make sure my satisfaction had been met.
I emailed MV (the rep) to let him know that I’d put the checks in the mail and that I’d overlooked something strange on my Freeman Maple. He said send over a photo, so I did. He thought it might be this or that so he said he’d drop by (all of this within a 2 hour period). Next morning he rang my doorbell before 10am and said that it was scale and that since its about to go dormant (fall/​winter) that we should treat it in early spring for efficiency and that he’d make a scheduled reminder for my family.
