2 Al Pastor tacos and 2 Cabeza tacos !! I loved it, very clean, fresh and hotter than the dickens(not spicy-hot, temp. hot) No avacado, sour cream, cheese or extra Malarkey. Just straight up, properly cooked, properly seasoned meat with little bits of char around the edges, onions and cilantro, and excellent tortillas. The salsas were right on too, perfect flavors without trying to prove a point about spiciness. Washed it down with the best cucumber agua fresca I’ve ever had.

Not bad for the price. The tacos were fresh and the gentleman who took my order was very nice. I was surprised that they were open till midnight. I just moved the area, and my roommate told me about them. I had the steak tacos, fully loaded with cilantro, onions, & lime. He also gave me a side of cilantro. 3 loaded tacos for 6 $! The area seems a bit sketchy but it cant really be helped. I would recommend it.

If you can get past the«ambience» and the thought that the homies might cap your a… because your are in the wrong neighborhood then this is worth the trip and experience. Best pastor burrito I ever had. I would love to go in business with the owner and have a truck in Broad Ripple or Fishers. We would kill it. The pastor tacos are really good too. Try it! You won’t be disappointed. Who knows you might get a cameo appearance on TV show COPS.

Awesome! I had the Al Pastor, aka Perk tacos. Very good. The pork was tender and generous. Loved the hot sauce as well. Some of the best tacos I’ve had since I left San Diego!

Someone from work said these were the best tacos in town… Well they are the best I now know of to. Don’t get me wrong, sometimes I love me a cheesy filled taco from somewhere say like Tamale Place. However the tacos here are sans cheese, it’s the meat and tortilla that are the star! These tacos might be small, but they don’t lack flavor! We had one each of a pork, beef, and sausage taco. Tortillas folded over without cracking. And the flavor was oozing everywhere. It was so good there was not a drop of meat left on the plate. Every time I drive across Washington now I will be stopping by here. Can’t wait to try more!

BEST al pastor tacos in the city! They are mouth watering! Juicy and cooked to perfection, Squeeze a little lime on top for the flavor that packs a punch! I’ve tried their burritos and tacos, both amazing! They have a variety of meats, but I suggest you try the al pastor! Amazing!

HOW has it taken me this long to get these tacos in my belly??? Everyone on here has given them four stars… I am gonna go all the way and give them five. I mean, this some good stuff. Out of this world. Great tacos and, I am gonna go there, best quesadilla I have ever had. Al pastor = amazing. That smoky bbq-esque style sauce is indescribable. The legua is also not chewy which is sometimes hard to find. God, I am so bummed I am moving across town. I will be making the voyage back to my old ‘hood for the Veloz, that is for damn sure.

Dope tacos al pastor. I do a lot of traveling and eat a lot of tacos and El taco Veloz holds their own. Tacos are on the small side but for a buck fifty you can still get plenty full on the cheap. Give it a try, Unilocal don’t lie.

This is the real deal taco stand. I’ve had tacos up and down Washington St., but these are my favorite. Some places have trad tacos with corn tortillas that are too dry, but El Veloz keeps things just right. They also have SPICY relishes that go great with the food. If you go in the evening you might get to see the pork spit contraption that makes al pastor tacos soooo gooood. Do yourself a favor and eat here soon.

Five years ago, this place was the first beacon of hope that rung, «hey, Jon Bön, look… this is in Indy, stick around for awhile.» Now, I may have taken off for a couple years after that… but I always knew… if I returned that maybe something like this would still be around. And, lo, this exact place was still around to my delight. Food Trucks exploded in Indy in 2011. El Taco Veloz… was around back in 2007… and they don’t need trending topics or twitterering to sustain a following — they have what everyone needs: tortillas, meat, cilantro, onions. And, they have a traditional Al Pastor spit. And, they haven’t moved. They don’t move. Imagine that… a food truck you know will always be there. Two Pastor. One Cabeza. One Chorizo Quesadilla. If you haven’t soaked up your night or day with a chorizo quesadilla… give it a go. If you’ve never had the al pastor here… prepare for char & give it a go. When I roll off my Swedish futon, my heart thumps to have its blood thickened… I’m almost always drawn to having meat on a tortilla, and this time around I remembered a place that’s been there longer than most places in downtown Indy, The Veloz. I suppose you could equate it to your bowl of cereal in the morning. Or, your glass of OJ. I prefer protein on an edible plate. From nearly sun up into the late nights… they’re going to be there no matter the schedule you hold. For $ 10, you’re going to fulfill two major obligations in your day: a smile and a face full of pork.

I was craving for tacos after 2 hours workout and this place did not disappoint at all. If it weren’t for the guilty-ness I’d feel after I work out, I could eat 10 of them! Seriously. My two tacos cost $ 3.25 altogether. Isn’t it even heavenly?

All I have to say is… SOFRIGGINAWESOME! Seriously. We’ve waited out in the snow and rain to get one of these taco/burritos/tortes. Their food is as almost authentic as you can get and the guys are really friendly. So very consistent too with everyhing. If you see these guys you must try them out.

I have driven past this place many times, and now, regret not having stopped before this. I read the reviews on here, and they are spot on. I went on Saturday late afternoon, and it was not very busy, which was nice because I talked to the young lady working and she gave me the rundown on all the different meats and her recommendations, which I took. I had the lengua(tounge), Tripe, and al pastor(pork). They were all delicious, the ingredients were fresh and flavorful. I have had tacos from trucks in several different cities, and these were right up there with the best. Enjoy!

This is a great place to enjoy some authentic tacos al pastor! It’s a cute taco truck with amazing tacos and a couple of drink options(horchata, coke, etc.). It’s not really a restaurant but there are a couple of plastic tables with chairs in a parking lot. I highly recommend this when the weather is nice and you can sit outside to enjoy your authentic Mexican eats! Also be aware that they don’t always have diet drinks — but there is a gas station across the street which you can pick up a couple of sodas if they are out!

I love these tacos! A coworker and I go almost every Wednesday for lunch. The al Pastor(pork) are definitely the best. A horchata to wash it all down is a must! Don’t let the exterior fool you. If you’ve never eaten food from an poorly-marked, sketchy-looking vehicle in a bad neighborhood then you don’t know s**t about good food.

My favorite place in town for some tacos el pastor! Check it out if you want some authentic tacos. It doesn’t look like much, but that’s part of the charm. Pull up a plastic lawn chair, a tray of tacos, and an horchata and you’re good to go!

Cruising undiscovered Indy with fellow Unilocaler Ross M., I came across another diamond in the rough. This place is a true gem! Reminiscent of the taco trucks I knew from my days in San Diego, El Taco Veloz of Indiana would hold its own in Chula Vista or El Cajon. The selection was somewhat limited — tacos de various bovine organs and(my personal favorite) al pastor. But the quality was enough to make my lengua water — right down to the fresh tortilla, delectable cilantro and the squirt of fresh lime. Worth stopping by for a bite if you’re on your way to the zoo, the ballpark, or really anywhere in downtown. Just be warned, it’s not really a restaurant … just a taco truck with a few plastic tables and chairs spread out on a parking lot along a stretch of West Washington Street, between Mount Street and Belleview Place, on the south side of the street.
