HORRIBLE experience. I’ve worn corrective vision for 15 years, and in 15 years of eye exams with at least 10 different opticians, I’ve never had a worse experience. The exam lasted maybe 5 minutes, the shortest exam I’ve ever had. While its nice to get in and get out– when it comes to my eyes, I want the most thorough and sure fire exam possible. I’m going to be wearing whatever prescription is given to me for the next 12+ months and if it’s just a little bit off its going to be noticeable– not to mention its probably not good for your eyesight long term. After my exam I was told to select my frames– I was followed around by a new associate who stared at me while I tried on several pairs, asking me to look at her so she could comment her thoughts. I understand she’s trying to be nice and attentive but when someone’s trying on glasses, clothes etc. They want their own space and they don’t want the opinion of a stranger. After picking my frames I was taken to a desk to finalize my lens options. As I asked questions about the upgrades, it was very clear that no matter what question I asked, the associate was going to vote for me spending more money on the highest quality upgrades. This is not helpful or tactful. After finalizing my payment, I was told to come back the next day to pick them up at noon. I live 20 minutes away from this location. I came back today to pick them up, I arrived at 12:45. Upon arrival I was told that they would not be ready for another hour, why they didn’t think to give me a call and let me know is beyond me. I have a schedule including work and other errands that have now been interrupted due to the lack of consideration from the associates at this location. Extremely disappointed with the service of this store. I will not return, ever. And I will do my best to let others know that they should not ever take their business to this location either.

OK went here on a Sunday got an eye exam and bought two pair of glasses, one reader and one for distance. After the 3 hours spent mostly from the sales person trying to sell me their eye glass plan for $ 99.00 and telling the guy doing my order that my insurance was no good and this would save me money. He totaled everything up and it was with the $ 99.00BS $ 463.00. My wife being the frugal person she is said just for the heck of it do it with our insurance only well $ 393.00 sounds better than their plan so we did it this way. He then tells my my distance glasses would be 7 – 10 days(no biggie) and that my readers would be available at 5pm Monday. I said I would just pick them up with the other pair because I was going out of town. At 12:15 Monday I get a call they tell me my readers would not be ready at 3pm but after 5pm, I replied ok thats the time I was given yesterday and I also said I will wait and pick them up when the other pair is ready. Tuesday 11:48 am Mr Have we are a little confused here did you order reading glasses or distance glasses because for some reason we have two orders here. I replied why in the hell would you ask me this when you called me yesterday telling me my readers would be ready after 5pm yesterday. She replied oh ok just checking, I then said wait a minute I have two pair coming readers and distance thats what I paid for, Oh let me check into that. I waited for a good 10 minutes before losing it and hanging up the phone. I then called my wife and told here to go get my money and cancel the whole order, she did and then called to tell me a check would be sent from corporate. I told her to call corporate the next day to make sure what we were being refunded. The next day she called and was told they can’t speak to her on the matter and that I would need to call. So I called the next day and left a message with the person my wife spoke to, have still not heard back from them. Friday at 5:05 pm I missed a call, it was eyeglass world calling to tell me my glasses were done and ready to be picked up. All I can say is it’s a damn good thing I am on the road until next week. More to be added after the wife goes there today to try and figure this out. Bottom line I don’t like nor will I deal with incompetent people that had one thing to do and screwed it all up, but when you have three people dealing with one persons order and it get this screwed up it’s called lack of communication and ignorance. BTW the Eye Dr. was absolutely wonderful.

Came to this location because I had been experiencing some issues with my left eye. I’m a contract wearer that does not do well taking care of them. I was already due for an eye exam. I made an appointment, which they were professional and flexible in doing so. When I got there, I was greeted by two workers on the floor. They helped me check in and watch for the doctor. In the meantime, I check out frames that they had on display. They had some cool brands such as DKNY and Coach. While trying a few frames on, the doctor called my name to come into her office. The doctor was very nice and conducting her tests on my eyes. She took her time to listen to me and my health concerns about my eyes. She informed me I was having some dryness issues and ordered me to rest my contacts for a week. She wanted a follow up appointment for the following week. I came back that following week and the doctor saw improvements. I was very impressed that she was able to help me correct the issues. It appears my issues were caused not only by dryness, but also by a wrong prescription I received 2 years ago in Chicago. Since I have received the doctor’s services, my eyes are doing much better(no major dryness, no veins jumping, etc.) The staff was very helpful! The general manager was very friendly and checked on me to ensure I was being taken care of. The receptionist was professional. I liked that they did not push me to use the rest of my HSA at their store. I really liked some purple DKNY frames, and buying them with my 6 months supply of contacts would have maxed out my HSA. But I knew even thought they were really cute, I hardly wear glasses. So they said OK and sold me the contacts. I appreciate the suggestion to buy the glasses, but not being pushed to be oversold. I will go to the location again for my eye care needs, even thought the Greenwood location is closer. I just received better service and care at this location.

They were nice. They were fast. Actually, the eye exam was almost too fast… did they really even check my eyes? Who cares, it was cheap, fast, and painless.

It all depends on location. In Indy, you’ll feel more cared for on the East side location than the Greenwood or Castleton stores. I’ve been to each multiple times and there is a marked difference in the story ASHLEY manages on Washington St.
