This place has the best breakfast on the south side. No one even comes close. They service is very fast. My food usually comes out in under 10 minutes. I can get an omelette with has Browns and pancakes for 8.00. The food here is crazy good. Even their lunch is awesome. I’ve had the monte crisco before, which was dynamite. The soups are made in house. The loaded pepper soup is my favorite. You have to eat here. It’s that good!

Not sure when the floors were cleaned! My shoes stuck to the floor! The food was good, and the coffee was always full. Busy place, needs to take a day and do some Deep Cleaning! !

Margarine is not butter; liquid cheese is not cheddar. A pancake place that doesn’t serve warm syrup is not a real pancake place. Rated high — disappointed!

I really feel silly for writing a bad review for a greasy diner. This place was your standard breakfast diner so really maybe I should put the blame on myself. I hesitated to order the Eggs Benedict but did anyway. Oh, no, just don’t. It was an egg benedict soup and the hollandaise wasn’t that great. I couldn’t even eat it. But the hash-browns were good.

Well-known breakfast joint with so-so food. Plenty of breakfast options, but food ordered had been unnecessarily greasy. Noisy, and often packed, this restaurant is not the best you can do, but certainly not the worst either.

One of those great hole in the wall breakfast spots. Cheap, good coffee, friendly service and delicious crepes.

Food was awesome and came out quickly, service was excellent, and they have a wonderful young lady named Sara who refilled our coffee at any given moment, and worked the room like a pro making sure everyone was taken care of. Crepes, skillets, and mush were awesome!

I’ve only eaten breakfast here but loved everything I have tried. This is a standard diner. It is super full most of Sunday. I usually aim for off hours. Portions are good size for the price. Its not a fancy place or a quiet place. Its not super big. Sometimes service has been excellent and most times just fine. This is one of my favorite breakfast places to eat in Indy. I usually eat a skillet or some combination of eggs, potatoes, pancake s, etc.

Standard little breakfast joint with a surprisingly expansive menu. They’re best at brunch — eggs, bacon and pecan waffle were all good, along with boo thing’s strawberry stuffed crepes and hash browns — and the coffee is tasty and readily refilled. Pricing is reasonable — all that was around $ 20 — and although it can get a bit crowded and there’s often a small wait on the weekends it’s somewhere we enjoy for a quiet brunch in town. My only minor complaint is that our coffee cups were dirty, though the waitress fixed it before we really realized what was up… And when it’s busy there’s a lot of chatter going on in a rather small restaurant, but that may not be an issue on weekdays.

When traveling it can be difficult to find good restaurants especially off the beaten path. This place is worth the trip I came in hungry and left stuffed will definitely be back next time when traveling through.

Flap Jack’s. Local chain. Not bad. You get what you pay for. I’ve been to a few other locations, so I knew what to expect. If you dine not on a Saturday/Sunday AM, there won’t be a wait. Case in point my visit to this location on a Tuesday morning. My party had a choice of tables, and immediate drink service once we sat. Food came out great. I’d never hat a skillet before and will do so from now on! Couldn’t hardly eat my «side» of fluffy pancakes that came with. The location is fairly small for a Flap Jacks, but still same quality you’d expect.

We’re from out of town and went here around 10:30 on a Sunday, it was packed, and there was a line.(Relatives ahead of us got a table.) Service up until the end was surprisingly fast(we had to wait a bit for someone to ask for to-go boxes). Food came out prepared correctly and order was correct. Service was a team effort between different staff members. The menu had a nice assortment of breakfast diner food, and prices seemed typical. I’d recommend based on efficiency despite crowd, menu variety, meets«diner dining» expectations, and reasonably priced.

Meh. It’s ok for breakfast food, nothing really stands out, menus is huge and covers the entire spectrum from waffles to burgers. Place is packed, but they move people in and out quickly, food came out fast, like they knew what I was thinking and prepared it before fast. Price is cheap, wife got the skillet, I went with the omelet, eating healthy here is a real challenge but I don’t think that’s the objective. I’ve eaten here twice now, all in all I prefer Lincoln Sq over this place. If you want a lot of food for not a lot of money it’s your place.

I wish the place was bigger and open longer hours. The prices are reasonable, but always have to wait for a table. Which is a good sign. That means people love the food and service.

Flapjacks has got to be the best breakfast place on the southside. There is always a wait on Sunday mornings. It is well worth the wait. Their menu is very extensive and everything tastes like it came from a 50s diner. They have everything from crepes to Banana split waffles to your eggs and bacon type plates. The service is fast and the waitresses are friendly. My only suggestion would be to extend the seating/dining area.

Flap jack is a great breakfast spot. It’s not too expensive and has a pretty good quality of food. Today we went, its Valentine’s Day and the place was packed but they still got people in and out at a steady pace. The only downside was that the waitress sat us down, gave us food and drinks and that was it. We really weren’t waited on and didn’t get additional things we wanted. But like I said it was busy. So I say try it. I got the house scrambler. Delicious.

Heard so much about this place, I decided to forgo my ritual to cracker Barrel and visit. Please was packed when we got there but we got sat fairly quickly. Hostess was cheerful and bubbly. Our server however was definitely not a warm person. Her greeting(if you could call it that) was terse and impersonal. I’ve worked in the biz on and off for over 18 years and coming to the table with a coffee pot saying, «coffee? Yes or no?» is not a proper greeting. She looked unhappy with her job and her life. Upon ordering a Ribeye cooked medium and receiving it, I noticed it was overcooked. When informing my server about it, she took the plate away saying, «they got your eggs wrong anyway.» that tells me she knew my food was wrong and still brought it to me anyway. #NotCool. After sometime had passed, I got the steak back and cutting into it, it gushed blood. It was cooked medium rare… Not medium as I requested. My server was nowhere to be found and after 10 min of sitting there craning my neck to get someone’s attention, I finally got a nice server’s attention who took my food back to be fixed once again. My server finally walks back my way and didn’t even acknowledge me. I flagged her down to let her know I had to send the steak back again and she replied, «Oh I Know.» Ummm. If you knew I sent my food back, why walk by me and ignore me? Couldn’t you have came to see if I was ok? I finally got my food and it was cooked right. 5 min after that she walks by, drops the check on the table and keeps walking. I left about 20% tip($ 5 on $ 25) for 2 reasons. 1. Because I’ve worked in Hospitality for over 18 years. 2. The busser(who she has to tip out) doesn’t deserve to not get tipped right because of her poor service. This was one of the most horrible experiences I’ve ever had and I will never go back again. If there is one thing I’ve learned working as a Bartender and Server, is you can fix a bad drink or bad food, and still make the experience a great one for a guest. You can’t fix bad service though. That will spoil the experience whether the food is good or bad. I’d give no stars if I could. :/ Wow!

LIGHTNINGFASTSERVICE!!! Had breakfast in a Saturday morning. Had to wait about fifteen to be seated BUT once they got my order, had my good in five minutes. Yeah, they’re cooking tons of French toast and pancakes and omelets but mine FLEWOUT!!! SN: my son kept changing his mind. Even after he saw my pancakes and decided he didn’t want French toast, our server was patient and was willing to change my food AFTER we had got it. GREATJOB, KELLY!!!

I have had 3 successful pancake pick-up experiences from FlapJacks… Their pancakes are just right, especially during a polar vortex. They are fluffy, sweet, and nap-inducing. Consistently tasty. One of these days I’ll have to actually dine in. Oh, and I probably need to lay off the pancakes and switch it up to an egg white omelet, perhaps… bathing suit season is approaching.
