Fountain Square Brewing

We visited for beers on a Saturday afternoon. Looks like there’s plenty of seating and a nice atmosphere. Got a flight of 6 3oz pours for $ 5.50. Just like I like it!
We enjoyed the pilsner and seasonal saison. Most of the other beers were nondescript. Would visit again to see what new seasonals they come up with

Here in a Thursday at 6pm. All beer taps are down. $ 2 domestic bottles nice alternative but could get that at the liquor store.
Order one of their specialty burgers but no can do. They don’t have an ingredient. Merp.
Order the basic be burger and won’t be back. They may be rating themselves. False advertising.

This is our staple. Best brewery in town. Can’t get enough. Love how it’s so dog friendly! Also like that they support local art. Has a great neighborhood feel. Truly represents the essence of Fountain Square. Workingman’s Pilsner is our go to.

All 3 of us had the beer flight in order to get an idea of which beers we liked. I loved the Porter — bold flavour, almost like a dark roast coffee. The Pilsnar and Pale were enjoyed by my companions. The others beers not so much. The Saison and IPA were too «jumpy» in that they had a very strong fizzy aftertaste, and the Amber was pretty bland.
The atmosphere is very chill. They have bar tables and stools, as well as large couches and tables. They also have a water dispenser which I appreciated.
The service was very friendly.
They display and sell local artwork which I think is cool. There is also a large clear wall/​door in which you can see the actually beer brewing space.
Overall, it seems like a great place to have a beer and hang out. Just make sure you know which beers you like!

This is one of my favorite breweries in Indianapolis. Though Indy has a plethora of breweries, this place never disappoints. Not only do they carry of wonderful beer selection for all beer lovers they also have a great atmosphere. Local art is displayed everyone, you can get food delivered to you, being your own, and they usually have some type of food truck outside for your food needs. They are dog friendly which is always refreshing. Definitely a must to go if you are visiting or if you are a local.

Good beer. Awesome service. Excellent ambience. Adequate parking. What more could you want?

I came in on a Sunday for a $ 5 growler fill, best thing ever! I got a free doughnut for filling up my growler! These guys are awesome and the beer is even more awesome! Very relaxing atmosphere and I love that you can sit on a couch there!

Yes yes yes!!! Since moving to Indy recently I’ve been trying to find a relaxing brewery with a great atmosphere and even better beer. I’ve found that and some with Fountain Square Brewery! It was already my favorite beer to pick up in the store and now it’s my favorite place to go. Kinda quirky inside and relaxed with a great selection of beers on tap. Very friendly staff as well!

The neighborhood wouldn’t be the same without this place.

While I want to love this brewery because of its location, friendly staff, and fun atmosphere, I just can’t seem to find one of their brews that I like for whatever reason that may be.
It’s hard to describe it, but the flavors just don’t do it for me, as some of the other breweries throughout the city do.
I’m giving it 4 stars; however, because as I mentioned earlier, the location (Fountain Square), the staff, the décor (local artists’ artwork), and the back patio are all awesome for a nice sunny day.

Great place and great location! When I am there, I always feel like I am intruding on someone’s party though. Not quite sure why I get that feeling.

Yes. Fountain Square Brewing is a great place with great beer. They are open on Sunday and sell growlers of house brews for five bucks. It’s a cool atmosphere inside with some arcade and board games. The staff is always very nice to me and their Amber is delicious. It’s a good place and you should check it out.

Super great! Kick-​back place to get a $ 5 growler fill on Saturday. Cool patio outside AND very dog friendly. Bartenders are nice and easy going. The locals are nice. This is one of my favorite places in Indy… because it doesn’t feel like Indy.
I will note its not my favorite beer, but the location and overall environment make it one of my favorite local breweries.
No food available… which is typical for a brewery, but would really love a hook-​up with even a sandwich or pizza place which would deliver… used to have a pizza place they recommended, but not sure the connection exists anymore.

So I went there for packet pickup for the Shamrock run… and of course had to stop and have a drink… my friend and I shared the flight and a pint of something blonde. The something blonde. was not very good… but the darker beers were amazing. This is from someone that hates anything dark… I’m more of a fruity light beer type of gal. The location is kind of tucked away from the street… its nice in the summer though to bring your dog and friends and sit down for a pint as the floors are cement and easily washed. This was really a nice addition to fountain square…

Did you know this place has $ 5 growler fill on Sundays? Man I wish I knew that earlier. I stopped by this craft brewery last Sunday and it was packed, not an empty seat in the house. The beer selection here is great and the staff are knowledgable and helpful. With all the micro breweries popping up in Indy it’s hard to keep them all straight but I know this is one I will frequent because it’s good.

When I have my beer-​loving friends come to Indy, I want to take them on an inexpensive brewery tour. Cue in Fountain Square’s Tap Room. Our $ 5 intimate afternoon tour began with a free beer. We then headed into the Brewing Room for the proper tour, which was given by the Assistant Brewmaster (I hope that was the correct title). Most tours I’ve been on are given by one of the bartenders, so I was impressed that we got to talk to someone who’s «in the trenches» everyday. Having an intimate tour allowed for a lot of questions and in turn a lot of new knowledge about the industry. When the tour wrapped up, we received a Fountain Square Brewing pint glass and hung out for an extra hour drinking a flight. This is something I will definitely do again with out-​of-​town guests.
SIDENOTE: Recently I was looking to buy a growler of a stout or porter in hopes I could get it from one of the newer breweries in downtown Indy that I haven’t tried yet. Everyone I looked at had nothing darker than a red! I knew who I could depend on though. THANK YOU, Fountain Square, for saving the day!

I was in town for work and wanted to try some local craft beer. I’m glad we ended up at Fountain Square Brewing. The bartender was super friendly and very helpful in describing the beers. Flights are $ 5. Yeah you heard me right only $ 5. This is unheard of. Wanting to sample them all we each ordered one. He even through in an extra beer for us to sample.
We stuck around for a couple more beers and then the bartender and a local customer helped us out with some dinner recommendations. On the way out he handed me some a bunch of the brewery stickers.
If you are in Indy and like craft beer Fountain Square Brewing a try.

Great brewery with a easy to get to location. I think the noise level in the pub area is a bit high. But, the beer is great and the workers are nice.
I enjoy that the offer a flight of 6 beers for $ 5. And they have a self-​serve water station.
I would like to come here when it is not packed and hang out drinking beer with friends. If that happens I will update the review and let you know how it goes.
