«Now, what’s cooler than being cool? Ice cold!» — Outkast Perfect pool weather today, 80 degrees, low humidity, a few fluffy white clouds. Unfortunately the water in the pool was painfully cold. It was so cold that the park staff posted a sign noting that the water was VERYCOLD. So other than that, it really was a perfect day at the pool. Staff and life guards were all friendly and polite, plenty of poolside chairs to relax in. I didn’t try the concession stand, but it looked like the standard variety park concession stand and was very clean and well kept. Thumbs down to the music playing from the the loudspeaker. Volume was too high and the music quality is poor. It would be a lot more relaxing without the music. Thumbs up to the guy dressed head to toe in black and the best dreads I’ve seen since Rob Zombie. I think he was there to give someone a ride… he didn’t strike me as the«swimming pool» sort of guy but he did have some kick ass dreads. Thumbs down to the cars cruising the parking lot with the bass bumping so loud that it felt like the pool chairs were vibrating. Yeah, I get it. That’s the whole point, that’s what you want, but be more considerate of everyone around you. Thumbs down to the guy in the souped up Chevelle that was nearly as loud as an NHRA dragster. Yeah, I get this, too. You want everyone to look at your car, so you sit and idle/rev the engine. I guess you never grew out of that phase? Overall a pretty decent city park pool and I would go back. I would imagine this place is *packed* on a really hot summer day.
